Alabaster seems really good with the mage spell that makes both players draw 2. Not sure if that's in Standard still, but could be something in wild. 9 mana draw 4 and 2 of them cost 1 (and your opponent draws 2).
One thing that might keep secret passage in check is that _currently_ Rogue is all about cards that generate/draw cards and those generated cards would be put back into the deck. (E.g. if you play Galakrond of secret passage, all those sweet discounted cards would go back into the deck and lose their discount - unless you can play them immediately. And if you generate lackeys and don't play them, they will dilute your future draws.) But it's definitely insanely strong in a more classic Combo based Tempo Rogue. And Odd Rogue in Wild.
would the 1 cost 5 draw work with the Augmented Elekk. the elephant card that adds a copy to your deck when returned? also as a side note, i cant find Augmented elekk in my heartstone collection, i was trying to craft it
I have a few questions about secret passage. 1. If you play secret passage, and get a card that draws additional cards, are those additional cards swapped back into your deck next turn? 2. Do "cast on draw" effects work on cards drawn with secret passage? I would assume so but it doesn't say draw so who knows. 3. How does this interact with Tak Nozwhisker (when you shuffle a card into your deck, add a copy to your hand)? Does that mean if Tak survives will it duplicate the cards you got from secret passage?
1. Nope, they stick. 2. Yup. Any cast when drawn will activate and than you will get another draw BUT that draw will stick in your hand after secret passage cards are shuffled back. Basically spiders says hello. 3. Should be duplicating any cards that were in your hand before passage and come back to your hand next turn. Cards got from passage will be still 5 and will be shuffled back to deck if not used. Not idea what is interaction with double passage as Trump said we need to see it in practice.
Trump, You forgot a really good point about the card Secret Passage gives you your old hand back. That could really help in some situations where you only have 5-10 cards in deck, and you know you have a lethal out. Compared to the hunter spell Tracking, Secret Passage is OP.
From the history of HS, thus card seems OP before release generally have some in-game mechanic to make it balance, like the Maiev. In this case, I think the card may need to triggle with 5 card in your hand or if you have 3 hands and use 2 card after casting the spell, it just give you 1 card back next turn.
Vectus offers good value alone if you play a class " prime" because all the small ones have a deathrattle to shuffle the big boi into your deck, which the whelps will copy. it is written like a single deathrattle would be enough for all whelps
These are my thoughts on the cards: Keymaster Alabaster is very good after your opponent plays Lorekeeper Polkelt. Vectus will probably be pretty good in rogue which is already running Skyvateer, 5 mana 6/6 with deathrattle draw 2 cards. and it doesn't even weaken your deck to put that package in.
Could Adorable Infestation be a reason for Tempo Hunters to use the 0 mana wisp? Or even druids? 0 mana 1/1 into this would put 3/3 worth of stats on turn .
Nice video Trump! I just wanted to say though that I remember watching you video on power creep in tgt (Where you talked about booty bay bodyguard and evil heckler?). When Trump said "card i slightly covered in a previous video", I thought he started with Loremaster, because his *previous* video was Custom Cards where he 1-stared and "never-print"ed a card with a mechanic that got released officially.
Keymaster Alabaster is going to be insane with decks that can draw cards for the opponent... like Glide not only gives you a new hand of 4 cards while getting rid of your opponent's hand, but it replaces your opponent's hand with 4 cards that YOU ALSO GET AT 1 COST, which means not only do you replace their hand, you know all of the cards they have and can use them yourself at only 1 cost. The only trick is that the combo is 11 mana, so you'd need to reduce the cost of a piece or play the combo over 2 turns. Alabaster could be interesting in a Mill deck, in that you can basically acquire half of the opponent's deck but at 1 cost.
@@Begeru It's not JUST "draw 4 cards at a discount". It fully changes the gamestate outside of the board to a state where your opponent only has 4 cards, while you have 1 cost versions of those 4 cards AND your own 4 cards. It's not an OTK but even if the opponent was ahead, they won't be anymore.
Turalyon, the Tenured is underrated in my opinion, too many times against control decks i need to deal with one minion, and because of its 9 health after its decently hard to remove. I think itll find some play and be decent. My own rating 3/5
