I did this as well expecting an alternate ending scenario where cal stays with the light so i just sat there and laughed when the respawn screen appeared. I can see why they did this though. Having two endings would create confusion in terms of which one would be considered canon and its clear the story of cal cestis is not yet complete.
I really don’t get how this counts as embracing the dark side. I mean Yoda does shit like what Cal pulled in “Dark side mode” on a regular basis. Nothing about Cals actions were inherently evil. This is like saying a sports player is embracing the dark side cause he started preforming harder to win the game
Cal is a much, much less experienced Jedi than Yoda. so it would make sense he needs to embrace the dark side to come close to pulling off the kind of stuff Yoda does.
The power type doesn't make something light or dark even jedi can use force lightning but it's niche. Cal instead of requesting aid from the force and working with it he is rippping energy from the force fueling it with rage and imposing his will upon it thus making a partial boost in telekenetic power. It's the faster path to power without the hard work.
@@minatonamikaze9393well I died so I think you can’t stay in the light. But maybe it was a bug. Cause after 2nd try I did not have this moment at all. So maybe it is triggered in specific moment that you can avoid.
force is nature, the dark side isn't evil just because the jedi said so, it's just the other half, and the force needs balance of both not billions of lightside users.
I think the game bugged for me when this happened. Instead of straight up dying I somehow ended up back to normal gameplay but had to fight bode in pitch black, which was impossible to do, of course. Then I died, lol
I prefer the combat of Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy. A good lightsaber hit will insta kill even a dark jedi. The protagonist can also use dark side powers, but is in control of himself.
I considered bying this game. That's until my friend showed me this scene, without context, and said that if you don't embrace the dark, you won't progress. But... that's not what I wanted, and with all due respect, don't think all this is what Cal would've gone. Not after visions of himself as the inquisitor. That's also the reason why I didn't buy this game after all, and after watching entire gameplay online, I think I made good call.
@@Heyitdave it is on UA-cam they recommended it and spoiled that cal falls to the dark side from your title and I'm pretty sure I said no blame to you since you don't control the recommendations. And I didn't watch the video just clicked it, left a comment to air out my frustrations about the spoiler and left Removing the video from my history so I don't get recommended similar things (sorry about that btw). And I'm trying not to watch anything on it besides maybe generic enemy fights in Gmvs and songs so I don't get spoiled on the story and I did a good job until getting recommended this.
Hesitation is defeat.

1:07 that little bloody crunch right there. Cal just got his face smashed in.
1:00 - 1:07 just close your eyes... Forget the situation Cal and Bode are in. What do you hear?
I chose not to embrace the dark side. The second chance I skipped the cutscene and did not ask to embrace
See I actually died when this happened cause I didn’t want to give into the dark side lol
Bruh same
It’s evil
That’s bc REAL Jedi, don’t fold. I also died in this cutscene
dont be a wimp
Dew it
See, that kind of thinking is how the Jedi got wiped out in the first place.
Thanks for satisfying the curiosity lol
😅😂

It’s actually called embracing the dark side in sports irl

So the Sith were right all along. Embracing the Dark Side is the way to victory.
thanks i was wondering what it would do
I wish they made alternative endings based on your decisions at the end of the game to embrace darkness or not
So that happens when you don't embrace the Dark Side of the Force huh?! OOPS! 😵💫
Well you don't have to embrace the dark side. If you skip cutscenes 🤣🤣🤣
And after reload you will not have this scene again where you have to choose to embrace the darkness.
That doesn’t sound true. I having got to this part but tell is it true that you can stay in the light

Bro that is evil the game doesn’t have a deny option it’s just force “yes embrace it”

You're right. I controlled myself into killing Rosh.
I’m not a fan of force users using the dark side without consequence

Well great. Ive been slightly spoiled now. Thanks UA-cam.
No blame to you Dave you just uploaded it
Brother the game has been out for a little over a year. Spoil territory is 1-3 months from game release. This on you. Not yt nor me lmaoooo #facts

No light side option? This game is darkkk
Was wondering why. Game clearly wants to set you down a certain path
Light side is boring...
@@LAGUBEFINALBOSS I know but it’s more relived.
@@LAGUBEFINALBOSSIt’s called “the banality of evil” for a reason. You just have shitty taste.
there is also something called Grey Jedi. They use dark side too but in good way
This is why I stopped playing the game and didn’t see how it ends because I didn’t want to embrace the dark side or see him embrace it
Brother i know its hard but i encourage you to pick it up again!
Evil and good are never "pure". There is always a shade of gray, _always_
Don’t worry, Cal acts more or less the same. It was just for a moment. Things still turn out somewhat wholesome.
bro there is still hope be a gray jedi
nothing happens
