idk why but the fact the tutorial missions make up 30 mins of this run and then you casually skip 3/4 of the story and finish in 10 minutes is just so funny

Every other speedrun ive seen of this game just had the Runner complain the entire fucking time so this is preferred
Fr. I’m so tired of every speed runner just screaming to the top of their lungs. This guy has the type of videos to fall asleep too. I mean that in a way it’s very relaxing.
So bode’s first day as a spy and he just gets some indigestion and decides “ah screw it im going to tannalor”. Leaves coruscant, swipes his kid, and gets lucky on the coordinates for the planet.

The Force Noclip is an ability some consider to be..... unnatural
fun fact, you could pause buffer through doors in fallen order also. you just needed the dash strike skill

I like speedruns like this, where it isnt completely filled with impossible to replicate glitches and its mostly just doing stuff fast and intelligently skipping areas

Well no, because in order to get this good, you need to know the game quite well, thebonly way to know it that intimately, is to have played it through and finished it a few times.
@@jcmee91 It really isn't. People spend dozens - sometimes hundreds - of hours finding glitches, developing skills to do the techniques, adjusting to patches.
Then countless hours spent on runs for others enjoyment, giving the game its on platform for a different niche.
It isn't just "ok i bought the game and beat it in 1 hour", trust me. And 9/10 of these speedrunners probably enjoy the game as much, if not more, than you.
I'm actually impressed that they included an out-of-sequence detection and then give you the choice to be reset or not. That is really considerate towards the speedrunning community while allowing casual players to undo mistakes. Bravo, Respawn.

This is one of the best speedrun video I've seen. Terrific commentary and nice to see some visual elements as well such as highlighting the boss arena.
Given Koboh is so huge and is featured in nearly every part of the story I knew the speedruns for this game were going to be quick, can't believe the amount of tricks already found. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this speedrun.
Maybe interesting for speedrun community. I was able to skip final bode fight by force pushing him off the edge in phase 1. It might of been timing of the phase transition or something, but it played all phase transition sequences back to back and then fight was done.

Remember: speedrunners often poor hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into games with normal playtimes of maybe 30 hours!

Another fun fact, while on a zip line you can press the dash button to propel yourself forward for a boost at the end of the line.

If you turn on the new game plus perk that increases damage before the dagan boss fight you can shave off a good minute from the fight, but it’s also a risk, as if you get hit even once the runs dead

This probably got recommended to me because the only other speedrun I've watched in full is Fallen Order which had some insane shit in it. Can't wait to see what else people find.
I just beat this game yesterday and started NG+ with the purity perk and both are currently 5x longer than this run

I think they just fixed the Major Sequence break. When you approach that area, Cal automatically gets off and you can’t jump

This actually saved my playthrough. Specifically thanks to the exploit in Koboh. I encountered a bug where I couldn't progress because I couldn't use force abilities or fight enemies at an obligatory section near the end of the game...
I ended up skipping the fight with Dagan unfortunately though. But at least I didn't lose 30 hours of playtime and still managed to beat the game. I even managed to do the exploit on PS5... But it wasn't easy clipping through the walls.

Not sure if you had a different idea on it, but I know if you jump and dash at the Gliders or even the ziplines, you will start off at full speed straight away! May help with speeding up some things!

Lmao me over here finally beating the game after putting 100 hours of just exploring and getting everything
Don't know if this is helpful for anyone but I found out if you jump continuously without jumping off whilst running into a wall with a nekko and it will send you and the nekko very high up in the air I've used this to get alot of collectables on koboh (it's not a pause buffer method)
It took me like 60 hours of gameplay to figure out you can speed zip line, wonder if it’s in JFO too
