My understanding is that Hitachi pulled their name from the product, but it's sold as "the Original Magic Wand Massager". The big retailers do seem to take care to stock that one, at least in the states. It's certainly got a sturdier... head assembly than seen above.

A lot of it is materials sciences, paired with machining, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. That said, most of the stuff you learn in those fields comes from actually getting out there and practising, at which point, you realise all of the really important stuff is in the textbooks rather than the dense calculations. Essentially, if you are passionate about it and don't care about the paper slip that comes with university, you can learn most of it from books then use them as references when you run into something you don't recognise.
My guess is he's a mining engineer by trade. MSc, probably has an iron ring he keeps in his nightstand. Picked up the less job related stuff through a DIY attitude, a general curiosity, hanging out with other "in the trenches" dirty science/technician types in northern mining camps.
Yeah, thats a cheapo clone. They dropped the Hitachi name a while back now it just goes by "Magic Wand" or "Magic Wand Orignal". And for the $30 you paid, I'm betting that top isn't silicone. Proper ones have a beffier motor and is housed in the base, with a drive shaft up to the top for vibration. Clones be shite mate.
Hv-250 has motor in the base, so that's what the length of the handle is from. I don't have Hv-260 Magic Wand Original (distributed by Vibratex), but photo of an Amazon purchase shows it to be exactly like this, and many have complained that it dies very soon. Counterfeits are something you need to contend with here, so I don't know whether they officially replaced them with shit, or whether people got fakes.

My understanding is that Hitachi pulled their name from the product, but it's sold as "the Original Magic Wand Massager". The big retailers do seem to take care to stock that one, at least in the states. It's certainly got a sturdier... head assembly than seen above.

Hitachi stopped making Magic Wands a few years ago because of branding issues, though the exact same product in design and materials are made by some other company these days who I think might be owned by hitachi.

Hey old man, you don't use a silicone lube. As you said, it doesn't wash out well. You use a nontoxic water based lube. Body flushes it out naturally and with haste, and it rinses off in the sink/shower/whatever. You know. Like the natural stuff.

A lot of it is materials sciences, paired with machining, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. That said, most of the stuff you learn in those fields comes from actually getting out there and practising, at which point, you realise all of the really important stuff is in the textbooks rather than the dense calculations. Essentially, if you are passionate about it and don't care about the paper slip that comes with university, you can learn most of it from books then use them as references when you run into something you don't recognise.
My guess is he's a mining engineer by trade. MSc, probably has an iron ring he keeps in his nightstand. Picked up the less job related stuff through a DIY attitude, a general curiosity, hanging out with other "in the trenches" dirty science/technician types in northern mining camps.

I don't have Hv-260 Magic Wand Original (distributed by Vibratex), but photo of an Amazon purchase shows it to be exactly like this, and many have complained that it dies very soon. Counterfeits are something you need to contend with here, so I don't know whether they officially replaced them with shit, or whether people got fakes.
