This just tore me up. Emrick may be old, but he's still normally energetic and brings it every time he's on the call. I can say definitively, whenever that next time comes that we get to him go "SCORRRRRREEE!!!" it will be truly special.

Whenever the day comes and fans are allowed back to the arenas, we will hopefully not take it for granted ever again. We'll remember those we lost due to COVID-19.... :-( We will applaude all the frontline workers who are helping all of us through this crisis.
Stay safe, everyone. We will get through this somehow. We HAVE to.

Once this has 100% settled down I think every team should have seats for those that survived in the ER, for the families who lost someone, and for the doctors and nurses who saved many lives and watched many die.

Ran into Doc once at the Detroit airport. One of the most kind-hearted people you’ll ever meet. I miss this game more than anything, and knowing it’ll likely be the better part of a year before I’m able to lace ‘em up again, and share a post game beer with my teammates hurts. But absence makes the heart grow fonder. I hope this pandemic makes us cherish not only sports when they return, but also our time spent with loved ones, that we often take for granted.

@@ghgmusic5970 Oh, I entirely believe this disease was engineered by China, and I think it's a possibility this was a deliberate act of biological warfare. I'm one of those guys. However, I take back what I said earlier. Yes, we will be going to sporting events again, eventually. People are getting fed up with all this, and sooner or later, the public pressure will be so great that even the most stubborn of mayors and governors and heads of industry will have no choice but to reopen. The infection rate of this thing may be way, way higher than originally thought, which would make the death rate way, way *lower.*
