A lot of people have been commenting on the audience's surprising lack of enthusiasm. Its simple: This is a much older video, from when they were not as well known.

I don't understand why the crowd is bored.This band is absolutely amazing. If You are into Gothic Bands like Depeche Mode or The Cure than you'll love The Cruxshadows. I look forward to see them in Concert one day. Gothic Rock mixed with Dance Music. It sounds great. With positive lyrics too. Not like a depressed doom gloom band. Their newer songs sound better I think, because it's faster, more upbeat, more energized. And they have girl dancers now on stage.The older Cruxshadows music from the 1990's did not have the Girl Dancers on stage. And their music was slower.Their first album came out in 1993 called And The Night Crawls In. Check this band out yourself. Keep these videos coming in.

Also I absolutely adore greek mythology and the story of Eurydice is a beautiful story. I love how some bands will take classic things and make songs to them like Emilie Autumn's version of "The Lady of the Lake" called Shallot.
One of my favorite songs, I got to see them live in Houston Texas back in 2002 and they were killer.
For those that don't know or seem confused, this is a very old performance and one of their earliest at festivals like this. As you can see from more recent shots they have come a long way.
that actually was the first time they played in germany - I was there and it was amazing - this made them famous - at least in germany

This was about 7 years ago, and they weren't that famous back then... also, this wasn't a cruxshadows only show, various bands also played at this festival, and the cruxshadows were one of them.

cruxshadows are one of the most underrated bands. Been following for years, must say they are not ment for outdoor daylight festivals. Try to see them in a small venue and this band will give you a show that will physically and mentally blow your mind. The audiance is lame. Rogue is a lyrical genius.
miss them not coming to Nashville. I always went to see them here.

Gothy wisdom: Not that goths can't or won't smile (we're not emo kids, lol) but that's just the deal in a large group like that "I'm gloomier than her!". So the most appreciation you'll get is some hot girl doing some "cobwebs in the attic".

You are missing the point here. This was 7 years (!) ago, they were just starting their career, the sound was bad and it was early in the morning. Ever seen goths "cheering" early in the morning? You must live inn another scene than I do ;)

What a lame crowd. I'm not familiar with Cruxshadows at all, but at least I'd cheer a little. There is something called politeness.
