Seeing Led Zeppelin as a 14 year old( I'm now 65 ) at the King's Hall ,Belle Vue, Manchester changed my life when it came to fashion and musical taste, thanks Robert!!😁👍🎸🎧🎼
The combination of the mandola, the spring reverb on the electric guitar with the acoustic guitar and bass running underneath is just phenomenal. Only musicians really in tune with the music can produce such sound
@@dominicgreenop9375 Buddy Miller (electric guitar) and Darrell Scott (mandola) are two exceptionally fine musicians. I think Buddy had a lot to do with the arrangement as well as the song choices on the recording. Two songs from the band “Low” are included along with a Townes Van Zant and Los Lobos tunes.
Recorded in Nashville by PBS at The War Memorial Auditorium in a middle of a hellacious snow storm that wouldn't cancel this concert. Made it in my 4x4 with only about half the auditorium full at the beginning. Tremendous concert. The show must go on.
@@CHRISRepAZ I was even luckier. I won tickets to the February 5, 2011, show at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. I won the tickets from the now defunct Atlanta radio station Dave FM, for the DJ covered the mid morning-early afternoon shift, whose name I can’t even remember now. The seats were the best seats I ever had to a show up to that point in time. It was on the third row in the Orchestra Pit. It was an absolutely amazing show. I have to say as much as I loved Robert Plant and the Band of Joy I was completely blown away by North Mississippi Allstars. Their bassist, Chris Chew, had just left the band for health reasons, and Luther and Cody Dickinson played as a duo just guitar and drums. Two years later, my job relocated me to Memphis and every chance I got to see Luther and/or Cody play in any of the projects they were involved with I took it.
2022 .... Not reliving old days......just livin' today......still, so fuckin' lovin' this.......oh, it is truly, truly a joy.......how long can this go on....it just 'Ramble On'.......the smile on my face........
I have been listening to Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin ever since 1976 I went to his concert in 1977 and Oklahoma City Oklahoma and I was blown away and I have been a fan of Robert Plant both in with Led Zeppelin and the other bands he's put together but I've also liked his solo music and I do like all the different genres that he is stride I am an adoring fan and I always will be
@@victormastrianni-gx8gu He’s a singer/songwriter/producer and obviously from this video you can tell he’s a top notch guitarist as well. He lives in Nashville, and is very active in the music industry (especially in the Americana scene). In addition to working with Robert Plant on this album and tour, he’s toured with Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, and several others over the years both in their bands and as a supporting act. In fact he opened for Steve Earle at The Ryman three weeks ago (August 28, 2024). He has multiple solo albums of his own music, plus he has a duo with his wife (of 40 years), Julie Miller, and he has radio show (The Buddy and Jim Show) with his good friend Jim Lauderdale on the Sirius/XM channel Outlaw Country.
Earlier this year, I had the great pleasure to see Mr Plant in concert… But, a few years ago, I was one of a few who talked our friend out of this corporeal world: bye Malc… And at the end of the service in his memory, this was played (okay, not this version: oh, but I so wish it had been…)
Stunning! Can’t believe some of the comments about him losing his higher vocal register?? Patty is just doing harmony here... seen him 4 times in the last two years, I can assure you, he has lost nothing!
People have their own opinions. I take solace in the fact that the majority appreciates how amazing Robert and all his bandmates are in this performance.
@@HealthSet Absolutely right. Aging is inevitable but he still sounds great. I don't think anyone hits those high registers after a long career of singing. But...there will always be critics.

I honestly wonder if he wishes he could go back to the days of old. To see Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones in their youth, and most importantly John Henry Bonham. This new band does sound amazing in their own right. They did a damn good job! But I wonder if he does miss the boys. I know I would. I know I miss my old friends.
The best male voice ever in Rock history and the band is incredible! Ramble on Robert Plant!
Absolutely
A GOD OF ROCK AND ROLL, BLUE,S HE,S A LIVING LEGEND, MY HE REIGN OVER US FOR EVER. PEACE BE UP ON YOU MY FRIEND'S. ✌️✌️✌️😎😎😎🏴🏴🏴

Its the Baseline - that draws it all together. I Remember 1971 when I first listened to this masterpiece. Nothing like it.
Yes the bass
But missing the guitar "back scratch" that, in combo with the heavy drums, makes the original Zep version really pop
Just found this, absolutely stunning version of this classic. Gotta love UA-cam!
This man walked in front of me in 1975 hyatt house he was a god then and still is.
Plant still has that voice, unbelievable.

Robert singing and a great band-outstanding rendition.

I watch this over and over cause it is sublime. Patti is so mesmerising, Darryl amazing and incomparable Robert Plant.
Increíble como Plant sigue cantando ramble on. Mi gran admiración por este vocalista, que a mis 65 años me acompaña siempre.
❤
"Ramble On...Sing my Song"...
May we have many more years of such passionate genius...Thanks, Robert!!!
This tour kicked off January 18, 2011, Asheville, NC. I was standing at the door when tickets went on sale. What a show !

Love this version, what a band Robert has here.
Nowadays when Robert Plant sings calm Led Zeppelin songs his voice sounds the most similar to his voice of 70-s.
Too frightened. Those spirits.
What an all time composition. Thank you.
I love how this and a lot of the Zeppelin songs have evolved over the years.
I find this too similar to Zeppelin.
Unlike Rock and Roll which has taken on a new (blues-roots) life
Beautiful, perfect, thanks..
Great guitar work by Buddy Miller. He added his own flavor, with epic tone.
Sir Plant can transform wonderfully!! 👏❤️

This is just incredible.

Lucky me.I have and chat Robert in 1998 İstanbul Concert.

Just watched this on Sky Arts...fantastic.
There was a longer version of this that I can’t find anymore 😢

Band of Joy indeed. Exquisite.
Amazing line up, especially Buddy.

That guitar is rockin!!
Bom gosto ao extremo!❤️
ROBERT PLANT IS ROCK GOD STATUS..
Плант Великолепен 👋👋👋
He picked a great band either way you look at it......
Buddy Miller. WTF - awesome - think I heard some Ribot influence sneaking in. What a player, what a band, what a groove. .
Beautiful
Patti Griffin is the queen of all my dreams. Little girl banging on that big old guitar and holding all this strange music together. Love it.
Oh my God.
And that mandolin arab part was mesmorising...
Amazing !
(and too short)
30 feet of great old grunts and Patti, its perfect.
You guys rock!

He's changed with the times unlike his old partner.......
Nicely done..
"Sometimes i get so tired." So, so, true.

Absolutely the best of everything….jeez..imagine being able to do this? Love to see them at Red Rocks Venue!
Red rocks would never be the same!
O Cara é um Monstro,Obrigado Robert Plant!!
Can you imagine Page with this group- would be amazing!

Snot a Danelectro....it s a Wandrey Soloist from the 60`s, Italian-made...mostly plastic...and gaffa tape...weird and wonderfull....
