You're saying people are being selfish that are protesting (which I agree with) but yet your boyfriend and your friends haven't changed their lives at all. They are hanging out in a group and vloging that. If you are concerned about the protests, be concerned how many people are still surrounding themselves at Alphaland every day.
I think it is easy for u to think people are being selfish when u do have access to a gym and can go whenever u want. The virus isn’t really effecting u that drastically. I haven’t been to a gym in months bc of this whole thing. I’m depressed bc everything I’ve worked so hard for is coming crashing down all around me. I’m stuck at home with my abusive son. The gym was the one thing is my life that was so positive mentally, physically and emotionally and it’s been ripped away from me. I challenge u to not go to any gym for 2-3 months and see how u begin to feel or feel afterwards. There definitely was a way to keep people safe but also let other people live their lives. The government seems to be all or nothing which is really sad. I like ur normal hair best!
My stand point is, I’m essential, I work at a bank. My husband is essential he works in a lab at a local hospital. His hours have been cut in half due to the lack of people going to the hospital. Our child care had closed until the end of May. So when my husband works I’m at home with her losing money. $4.81 an hour that I am losing. Our food bill, light bill and water bill have all went up since we are home more. We can’t get unemployment because we are still employed. So right now there are 16 year old retail workers making more a week then my husband who has a 4 year college degree. Covid 19 will forever be a thing just like the flu. It’s sad and unfortunate, and I hate all of this. But whenever things do open back up their will be a spike. We can’t live like this forever. I need a full paycheck to be able to pay my bills and of course buy more Buff Bunny. My opinion is different than a lot of others and I don’t mean to offend anyone. There are a lot of scary viruses out there, not just covid 19. And always wash your hands.
Unpopular two cents on this issue. Both of my parents are nurses and they feel like that this whole quarantine thing is ridiculous. They can see that "flattening the curve" is just lengthening it. I'm an essential worker working at FedEx and I think it's ridiculous too. On my end, we have actually seen a massive influx of products coming through our door and I am ashamed to report that most are related to nonsense items and not essential ones. Though there has been a small increase in food and medical supplies most of the increase has been due to furniture. Seriously, who has the money for that right now? Plus, I feel that if we were truly "in this together" then maybe people would think about how their boredom shopping is impacting those who need fast delivery of items.
