Flamer. Perks : Flak armor & +5% Crit chance (Flak armor is the most common armor type ((10 enemy types)) that most weapons need help in, so flak armor is the most consistent to get value from.) (Critting, procs burn stacks) Blessings : Blaze Away & your choice between Overpressure for more dmg or Quick Flame for reload. Flamer is a really strong horde clear weapon, especially if swarmed. It has the highest horde clear burst dmg in the game with its burn stacks. However, it comes with some really annoying flaws. First being it's time to charge its "alt" fire to shoot a steady stream of flame for horde. However, despite this, its primary fire, while not steady, has extremely decent stagger. So, if assulted by ragers or shotgunners, it's a good way to give you some much needed breathing room. It does not apply burn stacks as fast as the alt fire, however it does have higher base dmg per hit thus after a few direct hits and walking backward for room to trigger alt fire you can use the primary to open on the first few then back up into the alt fire. As a form of opener. Keep in mind tho that unless other targets are behind the initial flame, they won't be staggaed, so try to kite them into a line to start the flame train. The last two weaknesses are that the Flamers poor ammo reserves and return ammo per ammo tin are sub-par. Making it a secondary weapon meant to be used on horeds rather than as a true primary weapon. Lastly, any kind of DOT is really bad against armor, specifically Carapace armor from the Scab Orgyn Crushers. Flamers actually does decent for flak (hence the +25% to buff its common weakness). All in all, it's a really fun weapon, but after a lot of play time with it, if you really want a flamthrower, play Psyker and use the Purge/Inferno staff. It still requires a charge up regrettably however its unlimited ammo with slightly less base dmg. Pairing it with talent wildfire, you can get equivlant stats to the flamer or better even without the need for ammo, managing peril instead. Recommned same perks/blessings. The only change is for overprssure to be changed to warp nexus so burn procs more. PS: Peraonally the flamers dump stat is mobility, as you can weapon swap to melee for it, but it really just depends how you wanna run it. Have a high mobile melee for slow heavy high dmg flamer? Or high mobility flamer and slow melee? Persoanlly after some time the extra mobility on the flamer aint that great so I get dmg to save on ammo.
for Flamer you usually drop Mobility as dump stat and max rest. Your primary fire on Flamer has much more Impact and stagger dmg as 2 burst back to back can usually knock down Ragers and push back maulers. It's not meant for damage but to give you space.
The dump stat (means the stat that needs to be lowest) is almost always mobility. So try to get a flamer with 60% mobility and the rest 80%, damage is the MOST important to get to 80%. Also some general tips: Dodging gives I-frames from melee, sliding gives I-frames from ranged, dodging into a slide gives both. When fighting bigger enemies like ogryn and mutants use your special on the chainsword or similar weapons (mouse 5). Weapons have different damage profiles, some weapons deal more weakspot damage so investigate this. As a rule of thumb: top down attacks and stabs deal more single target and armor piercing damage, wide swings deal more damage to enemies after the first enemy hit.
If Zanny gives in to this tactic, his comments will be full of "day x of asking zanny to play x" and those will be the only comments in his comment section... which will inevitably lead to peoples feelings being hurt because he played "YOUR" game instead of "MY" game. Maybe he doesn't want that. If that's his reasoning I completely understand. As a streamer you can't be "too nice to chat", I've heard multiple streamers make this remark.
Zanny, the flamer with the shroudfield ability is good, go for a crit chance build with throwing knives. Ability, toughness and stam regen or gunner resistance on your curios, health, toughness and a stamina curio. And just in general for all weapons, 60% or above damage stat is fine, and don't sleep on mobility, if you've got enough dockets to buy a bunch at once you could get every stat (once you've got mastery) in the 70 percent range fairly quickly.
@@morde9063 I play the game on xbox and use the knives all the time, have them on all my zealot builds. If you change the response curve to exceptional and at 100%, light aim assist, it feels a lot smoother.
Yeah ou can legit drop into this game and have weapons to fit your gameplay style and build pretty quickly, which is great for new players and casuals. The RNG hell of the first year-plus is now just a bad memory. Great time to pick it up. But I burned myself out on DT unfortunately - without a major expansion I don't think I'll be back playing at high difficulty anytime soon.
Honestly the Crucis Thunder Hammer kind of does everything (heavy spam for horde, special then heavy for tanky elites/bosses, and just light attack headshots for slightly meatier trash to gunners) so you could opt for Hammer/Flamer/Throwing Knives or Hammer/Range/Any Blitz. The Thrust Blessing goes hard on the Hammer, since you would heavy groups and special-heavy elites, I think it lets you one-shot or almost one-shot Crushers on T5 for a special full charged heavy, without bonus to Carapace (I take Flak and Unyielding - heaps of trash and some elites have Flak armour, and Monstrosities are Unyielding [and you can nearly oneshot them] along with Bulwarks and Reapers so extra to some of the tankiest things) The Meat Grinder in the Psykhanium is really good to mess around in to test breakpoints for builds, knowing you have surefire ways to quickly kill x/y/z enemies is pretty huge for your combat flow game. Also worth noting the fact you can charge heavy attacks while holding sprint and sliding, very useful in general
As an avid flamer enjoyer I'd highly recommend trying throwing knives with it. It'll compliment your ranged weakness and you can also animation cancel pulling up the flamer by throwing a knife. It also pairs pretty well with fury of the faithful as you can stagger things in front of you and shoot 20% faster, it unfortunately doesn't degrade armor with guns anymore but still.
Zanny you have to try the psycher the flame is much better and cooler and what you’re looking for, but it also has so many other cool ranged options and snipes and the power swords are glorious. You won’t regret it bro
Dump stats are ; Mobility, Defense, Collateral and quell speed/warp resistance, have that stat at 60 or both at 70 for the Psyker staves, and all other stats will be at 80. Remember you need a weapon mastery to max, to be able to empower a weapon to it's max 500 rating.
The mastery grind is actually pretty quick, especially if you sacrifice bad roll weapons you get at the end of missions to help specific weapons (same weap as one sacrificed). Diamantine grind is the real grind. Especially the 70+ you need to empower +10 on that god roll 320 you've been sitting on......
Rolling around with zero armour piercing weapons is one hell of a choice. The flamer kind of sucks, but if you use it primarily for hordes, its aight, but then your melee needs to be jacked for specials and more.
Burn is best for flamer. And for perk stun on basic fire because you can supress basically anything under an ogryn size enemy. It's truly amazing, like putting a horde on pause with an ability, except it's always available. Secondary for me is hammer with thrust cause it can one shot most crushers.
It really is worth waiting off investing in weapon improvement until you hit max level and have the oppotunity to roll the highest statlines that cap off at 80 per stat
zenny for zealot I recomend the revolver or boldgun (op as f) or boltpistol but that is just for ragers and snipers and gunner you should use your mele 99% of times
for flamer u gotta get the 2 perks that makes enemies explode and reload speed on empty mag , with flak damage boost and infested damage boost, u want to fire a couple primary cloudsto stagger crowds before comiting with the secondary spray and in heavy crowds youll see shotgunners squads explode one after the other like fireworks
Easiest way to full mastery weapons; buy greens and only buy blues if they're for the weapon you're trying to master. Only the level of the weapon matters when you sacrifice not the rarity. If you have plasteel and dockets to dump just buy a load of greys of that weapon and upgrade the highest level ones to green then sacrifice. Easy levelling.
Mobility is almost always the dump stat for ranged weapons. You might be able to get away with dumping stability sometimes, but mobility is usually best.
Every single weapon in the game can have what's called an 80/60 roll, where 4 of the 5 stats are 80/80 & one is 60/80. Almost every weapon has a clear dump stat, so you can roll until you get an 80/60 roll that dumps the 60 on your least important stat (not usually as time consuking as youd think, drop rates have been noticeably improved with Locked & Loaded), Zealot is the most mobile of the classes by far, gets the most frames and works best in close quarters. Think of Zealot as Fai/Dex. Mobility is the dumpstat on 90% of the firearms. Combine an 80/60 transcendent flamer with the blessings overpressure and blaze away, and the perks for 25% damage on Unyielding and flak/maniac enemies to absolutely fucking melt bosses and sanction redactus targets, you can (and should) also build a load out with talents to maximise your flamer damage.
Blaze Away + Penetrating flame Flak + Crit Mobility is your dump stat People usually pair the throwing knives with it to take out ranged elites and specials but on controller they are a pain to use.
Zanny please, I saw your video and I got my phone out immediately to comment. Brother don't play Zealot, not because he's bad, but because it's a MASTER RACE, brother don't fall into them, they're not TRUE REJECTS. yeah the flamethrower would be better if the steady flame is the non aim mode and the burst is the seconday action (aim mode) but with a bigger flame radius and damage and maybe more range to make it viable and used
get the purgation falmer with 80 damage, it does matter. also have 80 in burn and cloud radius. get blessings and perks that incread crticial hit chance and damage and its a horde clearing machine iwth barely using any ammo
Use ur ability as much as u can. Damage is damage the higher the better. There’s a perk for the flamer that uses reserve ammo when there’s a crit. Which is almost all the time with the flamer (you basically never have to reload). Heresy is sort of the gatekeeper difficulty. Try harder difficulties people tend to have a better time given the quality of teammates goes up significantly. Damnation u get higher resources like significantly more. Even compared to auric heresy. Normal damnation I’ve tended to get the best yield of resources. There’s some UA-cam videos that can help out a lot with the penances. The one that requires u to take no damage (overwatch) u can just ask ur team to not revive u and just die at the beginning of the mission.
Also for the new update: mass sacrificing the weapon type ur trying to master. Buy 10 weapons from melk (100k gold) upgrade them to tier 2 (10x 100=1000 plasteel) sacrifice them all. U should easily get between 4-10 levels. You get roughly 10k xp for sacrificing correct weapon vs 4K xp for the wrong weapon. The rarity of the weapon doesn’t equate to more xp when it’s sacrificed.
Hey theres a thing you can do to fix framerate in the preclient settings where you turn off dlss and turn on the amd thing, lets you use eventual cpu overhead to get cheat frames or something. Iono how it works but it really helped my frames
Yeah, when you have ray tracing on and pull out the flamethrower, unless you're rocking an RTX4070 or better, it will tank the framerate something fierce.
Yea but when the Flamer has no Damage it wouldnt stop the Elite Monster. Flame Weapons should always be used for more than 5 enemies and should do most damage possible imo (idk tbh i play Dagger Zealot LMAO)
I play Darktide on my Xbox one using cloud play, I can’t play darktide, yet I do, it’s like playing a video game on an 8 bit tv, yet I must endure the grind, no matter the ping
damage doesnt matter on most weapons because the that damage % on the stats is not the total damage the weapons deals, it is an aggregate to the base damage. Almost every other stat benefits you more on most weapons, so you wanna go for stuff like finesse, first target or stopping power and mobility, it does depend on how much damage the weapon deals as a base, i'd say 80% damage is good on the plasma gun, your should watch telopots or tanner lindberg for a better breakdown of this, fatshark does not like explaining the mechanics on their game lol

It's so cute watching him try to use his brain at the start.
for Flamer you usually drop Mobility as dump stat and max rest.
Also some general tips:
Dodging gives I-frames from melee, sliding gives I-frames from ranged, dodging into a slide gives both.
Day 271 of asking Zanny to do an uncharted series:
My goat
You know Im starting to respect the grind
If Zanny gives in to this tactic, his comments will be full of "day x of asking zanny to play x" and those will be the only comments in his comment section... which will inevitably lead to peoples feelings being hurt because he played "YOUR" game instead of "MY" game.
Maybe he doesn't want that.
If that's his reasoning I completely understand. As a streamer you can't be "too nice to chat", I've heard multiple streamers make this remark.
The dedication is admireble.
The return of the king
Zanny, the flamer with the shroudfield ability is good, go for a crit chance build with throwing knives. Ability, toughness and stam regen or gunner resistance on your curios, health, toughness and a stamina curio.
And just in general for all weapons, 60% or above damage stat is fine, and don't sleep on mobility, if you've got enough dockets to buy a bunch at once you could get every stat (once you've got mastery) in the 70 percent range fairly quickly.
He plays on controller, so throwing knives are probably a bad bet. Too hard to aim
@@morde9063
I play the game on xbox and use the knives all the time, have them on all my zealot builds.
If you change the response curve to exceptional and at 100%, light aim assist, it feels a lot smoother.
Hans get the Flammenwerfer, the heavy Flammenwerfer
im actually so happy people are finding out about darktide again, ive always loved the game
@@quirinaled2752i can totally Unterstand. Maybe if you give it a Little break for a while you can serve our emperor again ; )
45 seconds in and zanny's speech patterns this video have forced my brain into a stroke
For the Flamer it is indeed damage that should be your dump stat. Good stuff Zanny, hope you are having a good time with the game.
The Emperors light is the only nourishment you should need! :D
Zanny you have to try the psycher the flame is much better and cooler and what you’re looking for, but it also has so many other cool ranged options and snipes and the power swords are glorious. You won’t regret it bro
Im glad I'm not the only one who needed more 40k content after playing SpaceMarine2
Purgation flamer build. 10-25% flak armored enemies, 10-25% unyielding enemies, Blaze away and everlasting flame.
Also I’d recommend having blaze away on the flamer cause it makes it do way more damage in the big stream mode
6:46-6:47 the Grab call ringtone is wild 😭
Secondary for me is hammer with thrust cause it can one shot most crushers.
the flamer is really powerful if you build for crits, the zealots charge abilty gives you guaranteed crits for a short period of time ; ^ )
It really is worth waiting off investing in weapon improvement until you hit max level and have the oppotunity to roll the highest statlines that cap off at 80 per stat
zenny for zealot I recomend the revolver or boldgun (op as f) or boltpistol but that is just for ragers and snipers and gunner you should use your mele 99% of times
for flamer u gotta get the 2 perks that makes enemies explode and reload speed on empty mag , with flak damage boost and infested damage boost, u want to fire a couple primary cloudsto stagger crowds before comiting with the secondary spray and in heavy crowds youll see shotgunners squads explode one after the other like fireworks
hey zanny, will you try vermintide 2 once they rebalance the leveling/when versus mode launches?
0:38 Where have I heard this before?
screen hint " the traitors`s hand is closer than you think"
2 second later : "you have been kicked"
Tip: All weapons have different combos. The heavy chainsword your using has great waveclear with a heavy and light. Should be 2 long side swings
I would say that mobility should be your dump stat on the flamer because you're not trying to move with it ideally.
Mobility is usually dump stat for guns for most builds I think you already move slow when alt firing the flamer which is the strongest fire mode
Your videos about Darktide make me wanna buy it but I'm broke, dammit.
Blaze Away + Penetrating flame
Flak + Crit
Mobility is your dump stat
People usually pair the throwing knives with it to take out ranged elites and specials but on controller they are a pain to use.
Pro tip: If a flame barrel is blocking your path you can just bunny hop over it. THIS DOES NOT APPLY WITH BOMBERS.
I’m coming to this genre from Zanny and deep rock, should I get dark tide or space marine 2?
The dead stat on the Flamer is definitely Mobility
Flamer with high burn, damage is the dump stat. Throwing knife if best for sweaty play with it so you can manage gunners. Have fun out there varlet.
Default fire on the flamer should be a wide but short range stream. Alt fire should be a thinner but longer range stream
Happy Liberty Day Zanny
If you do make a Psyker do the lightning build it’s so much fun to stun an ENTIRE horde like emperor Palpatine
Zanny please, I saw your video and I got my phone out immediately to comment. Brother don't play Zealot, not because he's bad, but because it's a MASTER RACE, brother don't fall into them, they're not TRUE REJECTS.
Play the underdogs Zanny, play Oggyrn, or Psychic, learn Zanny, download the skills of those masters who don't rely on L33T powers of being Angy. Alternative is Veteran, respectable, but don't believe the haters: Revive Shout is 100% manageable, and is a pure skill issue Zanny, they can't take the handicap.
Good luck 😂
Dump stat for guns is usually mobility varies a lot more for melee
Zanny is indeed in the grind brothers
Mobility is generally the safest dump stat at around 60
Would love to see you try Vermintide
15 seconds the algorithm has blessed me
Blessed be the Omnissiah!
Being a fan of this game is an ordeal, can't believe content creators are coming back, this video literally has more views than darktide's recent Vox trailer lmao
If you want a less of a grind for wepons xp you can allocate all 3 of your curios perks to xp for a good 30% exp boost
Zanny mobility is your dump stat on like every weapon. Preferably you want 80% for everything and 60% for mobility.
The frame drops come from the rendered portraits, turning it off fixes the frame rate
Zanny made me try darktide again
flamer wants the throwing knives for that mid-range burst dmg on specials
this video truly changed my life😮
zanny day of asking day zanny, ynnaz had gniksa for yad ynnaz
for the flammer indeed damage doesn't matter
1:56 - i've mastered the rock for the ogryn class
yeah the flamethrower would be better if the steady flame is the non aim mode and the burst is the seconday action (aim mode) but with a bigger flame radius and damage and maybe more range to make it viable and used
get the purgation falmer with 80 damage, it does matter. also have 80 in burn and cloud radius. get blessings and perks that incread crticial hit chance and damage and its a horde clearing machine iwth barely using any ammo
Damage (almost) never matter over 60%, the damage modifier isn't linear and the higher the stat the lower the benefits.
The rarity of the weapon doesn’t equate to more xp when it’s sacrificed.
the darktide grind is real
Once again asking for this man to play turbo overkill
3:00 Darktide is on the same game engine as Helldivers 2 so that's probably why
What headset does Zanny use?
Day 1 of asking Zanny to do a Dark and Darker session with the boys
Dude how do I get to play with the GOAT Zanny?
Servitor gameplay
Hey theres a thing you can do to fix framerate in the preclient settings where you turn off dlss and turn on the amd thing, lets you use eventual cpu overhead to get cheat frames or something. Iono how it works but it really helped my frames
Roach misses you
sire melk has level 500 guns on his store
I wish darktide was in the PlayStation shop🗿
Yeah, when you have ray tracing on and pull out the flamethrower, unless you're rocking an RTX4070 or better, it will tank the framerate something fierce.
Yea but when the Flamer has no Damage it wouldnt stop the Elite Monster. Flame Weapons should always be used for more than 5 enemies and should do most damage possible imo
(idk tbh i play Dagger Zealot LMAO)
8:17 i think she probably had a different helmet when she had eyes
Dmg only helps the first dot. Burn is way more important
5:41 I used that hair for my psyker
Zanny I’m a pysker made palpatine
60% for damage and 80% on the rest is God roll
The biggest grind is the skill grind
Also the actual damage stat doesn’t matter much usually
Watch tanner Lindberg he’s good at the game
Zanny you should try Vermintide 2 if you like darktide
if the damage stat is higher you'll need it for auric missions I guess
