    Tretinoin considerably reduced my hooded eyes, together with a red light mask and I also used an eye lift cream and collagen powder. Not as drastic as surgery but very decent indeed though it took a long time to achieve that result. The rim is now clearly visible.

      Dear ladies, I am sure you are and look beautiful.
      I get aging is not easy, especially if we look at the media and society beauty standard as the epitome of beauty (which might change at any moment).

      I see mature women thinking like they are not beautiful enough and I guess that becomes their truth. However, from the outside, I look at them and only see how beautiful and healthy they are and inspire me to get older (I am in my early thirties). My mum was gorgeous and looked younger than she was; but she didn’t feel like that and you could tell by her attitude in life, so she didn’t allow herself to shine completely. It made me feel so sad.
      Allow yourself to shine ✨. You deserve it and other women will thank you for doing it ❤

      @@julshere09well said, and a very well thought out approach, I hope you stick to it as you age, because it does sort of 'creep up on you', and suddenly you just don't feel like you have that same 'pizzazz' that you used to have... you look in the mirror and see grey hairs and wrinkles.... but I've learned to embrace it all, let my hair be what colour it wishes to be, give my skin all the care and moisturiser I can, but accept it's not 20yr old skin anymore, and appreciate every day I get older, because it's better than the alternative!!

    Great conversation Clare - thank you for all your great content. Been following you and Johnny for a while - really informative. Johnny is a breath of fresh air in a very secretive world. He exudes honesty and integrity from every pore - I would trust him implicitly. I’d love an appointment with him - to get his opinion - even if I don’t have the budget to follow through 😢. Being doing so much research re aesthetic treatments - been down loads of rabbit holes - really is mind boggling. Finding a practitioner who comes with recommendations is so so difficult as most people won’t own up to having treatment. I guess they want us to believe they are genetically blessed. I’d like to think I’d be more transparent - which is far easier if the “work” improves one’s face; if it all goes wrong then I guess I wouldn’t have to share it would just be obvious 😮. Thanks again Clare - for all your hard work keeping us informed and educated. Happy Easter x

    Their face and body is the money-maker for movie stars..and Hollywood is the one place in the world where its 'illegal' to get old if you want to work... unlike English actors, they just take on different roles..look at Judy Dench, Maggie Smith and the like. Grow old gracefully and have the real acting skills and take on roles and bring the characters to life! Real acting, real stories...Hollywood is plastic, redone, fake, over and over....

    I think it’s very revealing that so many medspa people push filler filler filler. It’s relatively low cost and accessible without requiring anesthesia. But for volume loss I think fat grafting (in the hands of a skilled practitioner) is hands down better and more natural appearing, without the risk of migration and puffy face. I suspect many celebrities have not had filler but have had expertly done fat grafting. It’s often done along with a face lift, lower bleph, or neck and jaw liposuction, but it can be done on its own.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  5 місяців тому +2

      I’ve interviewed a NY surgeon who does a lot of fat transfer. It’s one I agree can work well in the right hands but tough to correct if you’re not happy with the result

    Hi Claire, how are you? That was fascinating thanks. It really is a lottery out there and finding the right practitioner is absolutely key, it can go so horribly wrong. I think you are spot on, in that these Celebs rely on their looks for their future work, but there seems to be so much pressure on us all these days, to not age. I’m not convinced that this hasn’t all gone too far. I dabbled in my 40s with fillers and Botox for a while. The Botox in my forehead always collapsed my eyelids, no matter where it went and although my forehead looked amazing, my eyes looked awful, so I gave up on it eventually. At 60 I’ve decided to do the best I can for my skin, following many of your tips, but just be me and be proud to age as well as I can. X

  • @veronicaspencelocke2003

    I think too that many, if not most, celebrities want to be thought of as superhuman, as perpetually young and beautiful, ageless. Very few are content with 'aging gracefully' or naturally now, like the Audrey Hepburns of that world did (Even if it often looks very unnatural to us!)
    I forgot to say first how much I enjoyed this interview and appreciate Jonathan, I love that he's ethical enough to say *no* to unnecessary or procedures. Ethics DO tend to slide when💰 is involved!
    I agree 1000% that people would be more comfortable with the normal aging process if celebrities of all kinds were open and honest about cosmetic procedures. I think it would help keep our, often so unrealistic, expectations of how we *should* look as we age at a much lower (and more manageable!) level.
    That said, I guess I understand, to a point, the desire to make staying young and gorgeous seem effortless - after all, they're not mere mortals who need (surgical erc) *help,* to look gorgeous forever! 😉♥️

    • @iceprincessone7168
      @iceprincessone7168 5 місяців тому +4

      @@thehonestchannel Thanks for the reply - I did watch it but the thing is about ablative laser is it can leave a horrible scars, take a long time to heal and worst of all it burns away the pigment in the skin so you are left with "colorless" (albino white) skin around your mouth that no make up will hide and never get tanned. I am at that age I have more than one friend who tried this treatment some years ago and no way it is worth it. Years later it looks odd - even bad. But again - thank you.

    Yes, don't lose perspective. I think looking healthy even if some wrinkles looks beautiful but I also love seeing how amazing some of these celebrities look as they age. I love in Chinese face reading they call "crow's feet" joy lines. I have some beautiful joy lines and the life to go with it actually :). In US if the hooded eye starts to interfere with your vision, you can get the surgery covered by insurance (in some cases-probably depends on your insurance provider.)

    Demi made a correction that looks much better, she looked downright scary for a minute. Jennifer A, the volume loss in her face is not good, she looked great for a long time but now 🤔 Yea, the over-filled lip n face looks awful n makes the person look older.
