I’m watching this 3 years later. I’m pregnant with my second. Love all the information you are giving! It’s honestly great and accurate! I will say my hospital did not provide ice packs and I had a 10lb baby and a 3rd degree tear padsicles were my best friends for weeks after. I could barely walk so having that ice was a miracle to me. I know not everyone likes padsicles but seriously find out what your hospital provides and make a few just in case. I had no idea my baby was that big and would hurt me so bad. So I was definitely thankful to my pre birth self for making those.
Hospital mesh underwear were my favorite!!

I was actually very lucky with both of my girls after delivery I dropped below my pre pregnancy weight before I left the hospital and dropped more after going home. I count myself as very very lucky. Washable breast pads are a life saver with my second baby my milk actually came in while I was in the hospital and my doctor was surprised but said it’s common with second babies when you breastfed the first one.

I think one thing I would add is if you're pretty sure of which hospital you'll be giving birth at, you can usually call or go in person to do research on what exactly they provide for you. This can help you plan on what you actually need to bring with you.
At first I thought I was being a bit much ordering the Frida mom washer. But no! I tried the one from the hospital and the Frida, it’s so worth the little bit of extra money! Especially after a long difficult birth it’s the little things 😉👍 great video!! ♥️♥️

I didn’t get nausea from my prenatals when I started taking them at the same time everyday, with food and a lot of water! Just an FYI for all future moms - also, amazing video, I’ve been scouring the web for stuff, and you helped so much!
Freja hertz For me I took them at night after a while! Until like 14 weeks I’d get morning sickness 9pm. So I would set an alarm for 10:30pm to take them. I felt so much better

Side note, not all hospitals are so generous, check with your local hospital first. Sitz baths were the best, tucks not so much, got an allergic reaction unfortunately.

Some of us aren’t having hospital births so it’s still nice to know what you end up using! I’m having a home birth so knowing what I need to pick up would be helpful! Just a thought😊 thanks for sharing what you needed!

I'm just watching this video now, but (as a Mother-Baby nurse) thank you for pointing out that you should not use a nipple shield unless absolutely necessary and recommended by your lactation consultant! It can severely impact latch and (most importantly) your supply because baby is not stimulating as much (:

This is probably a dumb question, but I hear a lot of women recommended the disposable underwear (the ones you said you never got into). I’m confused - since it’s like a big diaper, do you go padless when wearing? Seems like it would be messy, but maybe both is overkill? I’m 25 weeks with baby #1 and so clueless about all of this! Neither delivery I got medicated pads or cream in the hospital. I stayed in my gown too the whole time because it was just easier

I LOVE this video, love your personality but all this is making me hate my hospital lol. I live in such a rural area where women are having so many babies like everyday lol. The only things mine really provide are the mesh panties, liners, dermaplast and a perry bottle lol.
I had a third degree tear from a 10# kiddo...yeah it hurts but the dermaplast helped
Always underwear were the thing for me🥰👍 I was so happy to not worry about leacking.

I took ritual prenatal vitamins during first and some of my second trimester... soooo much cod fish taste coming up throughout the day that made me more nauseous.
