When you wake up early in the morning and you see your doctor in your bedroom holding a lobster while a random homeless man reads a poem to a fireman eating a bagel.
This is perfectly acceptable, cloning blocks everywhere, creating matter, teleporting, jumping on nothing, infinite jumping on shells and p switches and keys, what could make more sense? Everything else in the universe
In order to activate the spawned goal tape you need to hit the very top left of the level. There happens to be several screens of nothingness between the far left of the level and where the actual content of the level lies, meaning if I did activate it, I would fall to my death.
That triple shell jumping in a flat surface and the green room must be the hardest things ever put in a pit hack! Congratulations, few people will beat this hack.
+Jordy van Ekelen This is a tas. I believe the guy coded what a computer would do since many of these are frame perfect and impossible for a person to do.
Ime058 That makes sense, I thought I was witnessing the work of a master lol I mean it's still very good nonetheless but I was truly amazed at first :p
+Jordy van Ekelen A TAS is created by someone playing the game frame by frame. They make savestates along the way to eliminate errors from their recording. Not really a bot, since someone sat down and played all of this 1 frame at a time.
LordVGames Well I can't explain it in the way it's done in the video, but first of all, you can do that with just mario grabbing the item that yoshi eats, one frame before it goes into yoshis mouth. Then yoshi swallows and mario still grows up.
What I'm curious about is just how these glitches work, particularly the wall jump and spawning blocks out of nowhere. All of these glitches take frame-perfect precision, true, but there must be a reason behind them, and how the method of consistently performing them was discovered.
actually the walljump is one of the easier tricks but there is no consistent way to do them in real time. You need to have a high enough speed that you can clip into the wall by two pixels and because walls are made from multiple solid blocks you can stand on a block in the wall for one frame. Then you just have to press jump at the perfect time
I wonder what it would look like to watch someone do all this if it was possible for a human to do these tricks there fingers would be moving insanely fast
I'm just as astonished that someone was able to figure out what to do in this hack as I am that someone was able to design the level in the first place. Apparently there were skips, but how could you distinguish those from the rest of the fuckery that was going on?
nathan mullenhour It's a glitched out sprite, in the original game you're not able to put have a baby yoshi and a normal yoshi at the same time. So the sprite glitches since they never thought someone would be able to do it.
Blueberry101 You misunderstand how TAS works. Basically, it's a human given tools to play frame perfectly and redo. Imagine redos like takes in a movie. Quite a few happen, but you never see them in the final product.
...and now the intended route, please. Actually it would be quite a challenge to design a level so that it can't be beaten using glitches. Can this hack be finished faster with arbitrary code execution?
So I know next to nothing about TASing, and even less about glitching in SMW, but I have to ask anyway. Where exactly is the line drawn for glitching in a game where arbitrary code execution is possible? If the goal is to trigger level completion, what's stopping you from using ACE to run the bit of code that signals level completion? Is the level geometry just too restrictive to permit it? Is there some "acceptable" level of ACE? Because spawning in the goal tape seems to be allowed. I'm really just confused about the rules here.
All glitches are fair game, the idea is that hopefully the creator doesn't leave conditions that allow the player to break the game in 'improper' ways. Most of the difficulty of TASing in general is actually mathematically pulling off these tricks consecutively, sometimes you need up to 4 dynamic bytes to be specific values on the right frame, and if you don't know how a certain trick works then you are probably fucked.
I know this video is not meant for the casual goers, but it would still be nice if you'd put a commentary (text) during the run. Would make it a bit more entertaining, though it's definitely entertaining enough.
Wirhout the Title I dont even mentioned that glitched were used in this TAS xD I was really suprised of the mid aur PSwitch jump...I kinda knew the resr
It definitely is the shortest. In a couple situations the intended solutions were impossible, so I had to improvise (or change the hack if I couldn't find a way around it while trying to maintain the difficulty, hence the modified version).
Bowser: you'll never get home, not with the crazy shit i made
Mario: i'll be there in 6 luigi
Honestly props to bowser for setting this all up. You would think it would be over achievement but I guess not
So... Yoshi has a Yoshi for a face? Makes sense.
TXF Is a Yoshi with a Yoshi face in a Yoshi. Yoshinception!
0:42
Yoshi has an ass for a face.
Many yoshis were harmed in the making of this TAS
More like Yoshi Abuse 3 .-.
+Muty Hu how is this not top comment lol
PogChamperino Kripperino it is
Muty Hu Yoshi abuse 3?
I would love a game like that.
Physics.exe has stopped working
It would be nice if we could see the inputs for TAS videos.
if you download them from TAS videos you can the import it ti bizhawk and use the TAS studio to analyze them
There would be too many inputs
@@kinghonk Well that's how they code em.
2:05 That's just... sick.. poor Yoshi.
Sean Sweet Johnson Its the best thing i have seen in my entire life. (And yes i am part of #everyyoshileftbehind)
This makes perfect sense to me.
not
YTSunny
This makesn't perfect sense to me
ILY
When you wake up early in the morning and you see your doctor in your bedroom holding a lobster while a random homeless man reads a poem to a fireman eating a bagel.
It's okay that I have no idea what's going on here right?
Yes you don't need to know what is going on
Thank you! It's a relief to hear that XD!
Just keep Scrolling, u don't see nothing e.e
Don't worry, you ain't alone.
Don't worry, it's even worse if you occasionally have a vague understanding of what is going on.
This is perfectly acceptable, cloning blocks everywhere, creating matter, teleporting, jumping on nothing, infinite jumping on shells and p switches and keys, what could make more sense?
Everything else in the universe
2:30 what he is holding made me scared
A whole new meaning to "let's see you do better".
Amazing job! Was surprised at some of the breaks you found.
That end was completely out of nowhere! Also, this wasn't glitch abouse: This was animal abuse
Why not use the springboard to block mario from walking into the lava at 5:01?
The springboard disappears when Mario beats the level with a goal post. If it were an end-level orb instead, then the spring would be viable.
shadowdragon121TASer and at 2:30 can't you spawn a goal tape and the force yoshi into a wall to go through the ceiling and win there?
In order to activate the spawned goal tape you need to hit the very top left of the level. There happens to be several screens of nothingness between the far left of the level and where the actual content of the level lies, meaning if I did activate it, I would fall to my death.
shadowdragon121TASer why the fuck can you die if you already complete the level, who programed that?
A now unemployed developer.
this is absolutely unbelievable!
nathanisbored see SMB3 'colour-a-dinossaur' ending and test your faith again!
That triple shell jumping in a flat surface and the green room must be the hardest things ever put in a pit hack! Congratulations, few people will beat this hack.
3:40 shell jumping?
junghwan1111TASer 1:30
Nice! I didnt even know Gbreeze used an old room from Stumped in GA3. Can i hope for a possible finished Stumped?
3:40 through 4:33
First, WHAT. Second, that was awesome. Third, was that necessary?
Yes?
*slaps gbreezesunset*
0:35 can someone make me forget this yoshi face
No yoshis were harmed making this video.
And now... A credits warp! That's the next step in this madness! Wait, that already exists. Damn.
This is the strangeset Mario ever. Awesome TAS!!
what the hell just happened 0.o
I kind of like not knowing what was going on.
Dude, how can you do this? It's amazing.
2:58 p switch jump
Mario traverses a universe with laws we could not possibly fathom
Don't you hate it when you're a dinosaur and then your face turns into you as a baby?
0:33 That's... not gonna leave my memory anytime soon.
he yoshied all over the place
1:42
Special thanks - shadowdragon121, hoorayforjay, and lilgecko for testing.
Holy shit this is insane?! Whoever the fuck did this is amazing!
A computer played it
Ime058 Really -_-
+Jordy van Ekelen This is a tas. I believe the guy coded what a computer would do since many of these are frame perfect and impossible for a person to do.
Ime058 That makes sense, I thought I was witnessing the work of a master lol I mean it's still very good nonetheless but I was truly amazed at first :p

I really like the colors of this hack.
What are the inputs for that "eat an item twice glitch" at 3:55?
LordVGames Well I can't explain it in the way it's done in the video, but first of all, you can do that with just mario grabbing the item that yoshi eats, one frame before it goes into yoshis mouth. Then yoshi swallows and mario still grows up.
I can conceptualize almost all of this but the wall jumping like the one at 1:31 blows my mind... wtf is happening?!?!
How did you get a bone coaster to appear on Yoshi's tongue at 2:09?
What I'm curious about is just how these glitches work, particularly the wall jump and spawning blocks out of nowhere. All of these glitches take frame-perfect precision, true, but there must be a reason behind them, and how the method of consistently performing them was discovered.

That shit aint no Mario. Thats a god damn demon.
Why there are items buried in the ground?
JESES WHAT DID I JUST WITNESS! I am now going to make an even harder tas
Download for the TAS movie?
I
Am having an aneurysm
Half of this I didn't even understand...
I wonder what it would look like to watch someone do all this if it was possible for a human to do these tricks there fingers would be moving insanely fast
when you're amazed and confused at the same time.
You remember that time when Yoshi was a butthead? No? Try watching the video again.
Neo: You are the chosen one
Wall jumping on the sides of a bullet bill sounds so fucking difficult since you cant tell where the corners of the tiles are
Yoshi will forever remain a pawn.
yoshi is immortal though. and he is the one controlling mario
These glithes are disguistingly good
I'm just as astonished that someone was able to figure out what to do in this hack as I am that someone was able to design the level in the first place. Apparently there were skips, but how could you distinguish those from the rest of the fuckery that was going on?
i understood many parts cuz of nathanisbored's glitch video's, otherwise i'd be like: ehh, huh?
oh wait, i still am like that
What is wrong with that yoshi at the first level it has two heads but it doesn't!?
nathan mullenhour It's a glitched out sprite, in the original game you're not able to put have a baby yoshi and a normal yoshi at the same time. So the sprite glitches since they never thought someone would be able to do it.
Teacher: the test is not that hard.
The test:
So... This is TASed...
So how did you make the TAS do this?
Blueberry101 You misunderstand how TAS works. Basically, it's a human given tools to play frame perfectly and redo.
Imagine redos like takes in a movie. Quite a few happen, but you never see them in the final product.
I mean, How long did it take him to do the TAS input all the frames
Blueberry101 Like literally since the beginning of the internet.
hey give me a link of TAS for Mac de hecho hablo español
que me des un link Del TAS para Mac
...and now the intended route, please.
Actually it would be quite a challenge to design a level so that it can't be beaten using glitches.
Can this hack be finished faster with arbitrary code execution?
Wait…… how did that end?

*wait so which of those were intended?*
is there any way to actually beat this non-TAS? or is it a ton of frame perfect stuff
no
k
Download to bk2?
You need to glitch a win!? I really like that!!
Damn, good job!
Is this possible for a human?
This levels are made for TAS right?🤔
I know this video is not meant for the casual goers, but it would still be nice if you'd put a commentary (text) during the run. Would make it a bit more entertaining, though it's definitely entertaining enough.
como el tio shadow hace eso de saltar en las paredes? e.e
3:33 I alt+tabbed for 20 seconds and came back to this
dude. wy are u doing this 2 u self?
6:36 the cactus is saying "yamete kudazai"
Wirhout the Title I dont even mentioned that glitched were used in this TAS xD
I was really suprised of the mid aur PSwitch jump...I kinda knew the resr
I feel strangely uncomfortable that Mario leaves Yoshi in that cold cave.
So is this game not intended to be beat by humans or?
how do you do this...
I have a question WHAT THE HELL DID I WATCH I AM SPEECHLESS
My brain stopped working...
Very slowly mario is becoming my religion
"SoRrY mArIo BuT tHe PrInCeSs Is In AnOtHeR cAsTle"
I know it's supposed to be glitch abuse but watching this is simply one long wtf did i just see
Kinda weird to watch a TAS when there's no video of the intended solution. Is this the shortest of the trilogy?
It definitely is the shortest. In a couple situations the intended solutions were impossible, so I had to improvise (or change the hack if I couldn't find a way around it while trying to maintain the difficulty, hence the modified version).
damn my eyes burn!!! insane game, i die on 5 first sec.
I don't understand many things
My favorite subject in games (one of the m) glitches
How
Wait... How do you Re-Record?
The are a fever dream but so interesting and fun to watch.
Yoshi is half dinosaur, half glitch
DID HE GRAB A RAINBOW SHELL?
Just watching this makes me wonder what the fuck were people doing to find out these glitches.
so many wall jumps... now let's see panga beat it XP
So where was that glitch?
And then yoshi's head turned into the sprite of yoshi's butt :)
introducing: HOW 2 MARIO WORLD!
Is this possible for humans to do?
Sir Noodles theoretically
No
제 친형이 보고 말도 안된다고 했지만 정말 본인이 직접 Play 하신건가요??
I challenge you to read what is on 1:42
i did it
says special thanks to shadowdragon121, hoorayforjay, and lilgecko for testing
maybe just call it muncher abuse
