After watching some of the later sections, like the star world and Blargg’s Lava Pit, I’m convinced some of these levels can only be beaten via TAS. That being said, great job on putting this together! I was thoroughly impressed with a lot of your moves!
A true testament to the difficulty of the hack, how close the TAS route is to the intended route for a lot of these levels. (main difference being the death counter lol)
I was wondering if "Salty Sagan World" was some strange reference to Carl Sagan, but then forgot all about it until the screen popped up that read the name "Carl" in the stars.

Blarg Pit and Escort Mission were cool levels.....that level of difficulty though..thats off the charts....designed for the top 0.5% of players ? XD....well was fun to watch....I will keep watching poo bear see how he does...he have yet to scratch the most insane levels in it XD....all the levels until the sand one he played today feel like jokes compare to whats upcoming
I don't think it's one of the hardest, because I'm bad in kaizo hacks and I could beat all the hack, except for the last two levels, so it's the perfect hack where you can practice your skills, it's like the entrance to the most difficult hacks. Maybe hahaha

In Lunar Magic (the level editor) you can force the timer to get overwritten when entering a level. I did that so you cant skip berries by saving time before the checkpoint.
4:21 *maybe 4 seconds in* "Is this that music that plays in Sootopolis when Groudon and Kyogre fight?" A few seconds later and the main song plays. I know my Hoenn music way too well.
Wall jumps are possible in SMW and most all Mario games, but it is a one frame trick and incredibly hard to pull off consistently. I’ve seen people do it, usually by mistake lol. But this is a “Tool Assisted Speedrun” meaning the creator used a program to find the fastest possible routes. They can do stuff like advance the game forward or back by as many frames they want, and key in button pressed and stuff. TAS’s are generally not even remotely possible by any human ever. So the wall jumps were kinda “programmed in” so to speak.
wall jumps are in all mario games but to explain, for one frame and certain pixels in some games, you have a little bit of time where you're in the wall at a certain speed. if you jump at that frame, you're able to jump on the wall like that. it's in a silly amount of these, smb1, lost levels, smb3 and smw are the ones i know but i'm sure there's more
*him: loses his fly buff from feather* *me: cringed harder than possible for a human being* Besides that and lack of glitching(thru walls to save the flybuff for example) which are cons,it is 7/10(good)

They're not solid objects, added to troll the players, so you can pass through them with no problems

It's possible, but require extreme precision / luck. If you want to do walljumps consistently, you need a TAS.

What happend at 24:30 ? Why does the ingame timer jump from 8 to 15? No green apple was consumed and they give 20s anyway.
In Lunar Magic (the level editor) you can force the timer to get overwritten when entering a level. I did that so you cant skip berries by saving time before the checkpoint.

How is this guy wall jumping??? Mind is blown rn! Lol
It's hard to explain, but this is a tas and it's not so hard to make a wall jump, you just have to catch the perfect frame and jump.
Wall jumps are possible in SMW and most all Mario games, but it is a one frame trick and incredibly hard to pull off consistently. I’ve seen people do it, usually by mistake lol.
But this is a “Tool Assisted Speedrun” meaning the creator used a program to find the fastest possible routes. They can do stuff like advance the game forward or back by as many frames they want, and key in button pressed and stuff. TAS’s are generally not even remotely possible by any human ever.
So the wall jumps were kinda “programmed in” so to speak.
wall jumps are in all mario games but to explain, for one frame and certain pixels in some games, you have a little bit of time where you're in the wall at a certain speed. if you jump at that frame, you're able to jump on the wall like that. it's in a silly amount of these, smb1, lost levels, smb3 and smw are the ones i know but i'm sure there's more
