What better way to indulge in a countries finest Cuisine than eating at the largest street food market in Seoul! We eat our way through Gwangjang market tasting some of the most traditional treats we could find! All the delicacies have been perfected for generations! Such as, kimchi dumplings, mung bean pancakes, tteokbokki, kimbap and of course the legendary knife cut noodles featured on Netflix’s Street Food Asia series! You don’t want to miss this episode!

Thank you for putting the awesome video together! I'm so glad people were so kind to you guys and I was touched as well at the end :) Btw, my go-to dishes when I visit Korea are soups such as sundae-guk (blood sausage), Gamja-tang (pork bones), and haemul-tang (seafood), pork cutlet, sushi (especially another level at decent price), jokbal (pork trotter) although sounds weird, and so many others. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

As a Korean, I love Shev's creativity/adventures in different combinations. Surprisingly what she does is what Koreans naturally do/trying all sauces in different ways. I got amazed when she dipped the kimbap in to the dduk-bbok-ggi sauce (thumbs up, that def is Korean way). Also, Dev's appreciation of people who work in the market was so thoughtful. Sincerely thank you to this lovely couple.

    Welcome to Korea!
Today's weather in SEOUL is below minus 10 degrees Celsius, which is probably the first severe cold you ever experienced through entire your life so far. This experience will also be the most memorable memory of your life.
I wish you a healthy and enjoy more Korean life here.

What I'd like for you guys to try are stuff that other youtubers don't. Everyone tries the same things, which is good as it gets you to eat many foods. But there are a lot of other foods that others don't try. Some recommendations are spicy grilled ribs (on the bone), yukgaejang (can mix rice into the soup or just dip each spoonful of rice into the soup), chicken gizzards (both spicy and non-spicy which can be found in bars or street drinking stalls), galbi tang (or rib soup...can do the same with rice as described with yukgaejang), grilled shellfish (have it with soju and/or beer), andong jjimdak, mul hwae (cold raw sashimi soup), dak galbi (spicy stir fried chicken), gae jang (raw crabs, both spicy and soy sauce marinated....they are called rice thieves because you mix the rice into the shell along with the sauce and innards along with the meat from the body), agu jjim (monkfish with a lot of bean sprouts), nakji bokkeum (spicy stir fried octopus usually found in bars), and if you don't mind spending the money, try hanwoo (Korean cow bbq. It is pricey though and only sold in Korea (they don't export it), probably similar in cost to Waygu A5 beef. There are different grades of hanwoo and the better the quality, the more expensive it will get. 1++A is the best grade of hanwoo you can get.)

This weekend is not active due to the Itaewon accident (as you know there was a national mourning.) It will be active next weekthough after the 5th of December. Enjoy your stay in Korea.

15:00 This is the original form of humble kalguksu (noodles kneaded and cut with a knife). These days, kalguksu with various seafood, vegetables, and many ingredients is popular in Korea... but sometimes there are many korean looking for kalguksu like that. I would rather recommend foreign tourists to try that traditional kalguksu.

I love how Dev astutely recognized the hard work culture of Korean vendors at the market. I think they are open for 16-20 hours (outside fo additional prep). I am glad you also supported different vendors at Gwangjang, but I have a soft spot for Mrs. Cho's story. As a Canadian Korean I would still visit her shop. Despite her success her prices are very low (even post pandemic). Plus she is nice. I wonder how hard it is for her. People have such high expectations after Netflix and they expect her to be there all day. Does she ever get a day off?

Such an impressive 먹방!!And i'm so impressed and wanna say thank you bout loving our culture. As you mestioned about recommendation, I would say visit '한강(Han-river)'. It has a lot of history on the way to how it is being now. It has a wonderful scenery(also romantic night view), and you will be surprised how dynamic and peaceful Seoul is. There is several spots to enjoy 한강(Han-river), but I recommemd '반포 한강 공원(Banpo Han-river park)'(search on the internet). I strongly recommend you to visit 한강 and try some delivery food!!K-delivery is the best in the world I swear:) Chicken, Taco, Steak, Korean-foods, shushi and else!!I hope you guys enjoy

Hello, adorable guys. Thank you so much for introducing Korea's unique food culture. I really enjoyed the video. One thing I can give you advice is that in Korea, we don't put our hands together when we're thankful. Then I hope you have a good trip. ❤

Shev (?) is right that there are many varieties of kimchi - not sure how many, but over 100 types. With kimchi mandu (dumplings) you don't need sauce - it has so much flavour already. Kimchi is also extremely healthy. I have noticed foreigners always prefer the kimchi mandu over the regular ones.

I saw both of your contents. For soup dishes such as stews, soups, and kalguksu in Korea, it is standard to feel the soup rather than the solid ingredients. I've seen you admire the ingredients, but the other way around. The Korean soup dish is to be admired in the soup. Enjoy your trip. And don't experience special Korean foods such as Korean sausages and live octopus. There are foods that Koreans don't eat either. Try those things after you get used to Korea to some extent. Seoul, Jeju, and Busan are essential for travel destinations, and if you have time, experience Sokcho-Goseong Line in Gangwon-do, Tongyeong-Yeosu Line in Namhae, and if you have time, Danyang and Jecheon are recommended

Shev and Dev~~~^^ I watched your video in full. And I subscribed. If you want to experience Korean traditional culture, please travel to Jeonju Hanok Village. Bibimbap, Korean food, and hanbok are famous in Jeonju Hanok Village (전주한옥마을). Jeonju City, such as Hanok, Hanji, etc., is the capital of Korean traditional culture. And you can stay at a traditional Korean house in Jeonju Hanok Village. There are many traditional buildings that are over 600 years old in Jeonju Hanok Village. And if you have more time, I recommend a temple trip to Keumsansa (김제 금산사) Temple near Jeonju. The Temple of Keumsansa Temple is very large and has a history of more than 1,500 years. It was built during the Baekje period. If you take the city bus 79 from Jeonju Hanok Village, the last stop is Keumsansa Temple. I hope you have a wonderful trip in Korea~~~^^

Aw, I'm so happy that you shared that important message!! It's so easy to just go with the heard... and overlook the other stalls that put their heart and soul into the food! I love the positivity that you guys are sharing! Being that it's close to winter Heottok (pronounced ho-duk) is a nice hot snack. I think you would like Bibimbap (rice bowl with mixed vegetables with a red chili paste). You could also order Dolsot Bibimbap which is bibimbap served in a stone pot so that the bottom crisps the rice as you eat. Super hot temperature wise as it comes off the stove. I know you had kimchi jigae (kimchi stew) already but my favorite would be Dwenjang jigae (fermented miso stew with tofu and bits of squash, absolutely incredible). And there's also Sam Gae Tang which is a cornish game hen stuffed with rice, dates, and gingseng cooked in a deep chicken broth. Not explosive in flavors but it's a hearty chicken stew. And any time you think something is under seasoned you can look around the table for a metal cup with lid that will have a spoon. It'll contain kind of a korean chutney of soy sauce, garlic, chives, red pepper that you can add to your soup to taste.

must try that blood sausage and other steamed pork intestines. And even the sliced live octopus sometime, the octopus doesn't taste much itself, its mostly the sesami oil with salt that you dip in =), its fresh and salt and savory and lively chewy haha
