Wow. Bill Wallace. Those karate guys from that time were awesome. They look cooler, back then, too. Difficult seeing him a lot older, Norris, too. But. As long as they do well, and maybe they're teaching, it's a great sign for people to keep training.

Everyone ages regardless of their sport, and sadly all our skills diminish with time to where our sons overtake us (but not as quickly as they hope). So be it a sport like baseball or basketball we have a limited time to enjoy the competition. That is especially true of contact fighting sports, that even as practiced and enjoyed as young men, we cannot still compete either due to injury, or not being able to risk injury in our older years.
All that said, incredible kudos go out to Bill for his mastery of the sport and giving back by sharing his knowledge and techniques to the younger generations.

Wallace, Bill Super Foot is a great champion. Notice he kicks mainly with his left leg because he cannot use his other leg being crippled!!! Amazing American champion he is!! ♾️♾️♾️♾️

Bill is the Goat!!! But keep in mind that while he is famous for his left kicks, he does have great hand techniques (check out his left hook combo) and judo takedowns. I was in awe of his skills back in the early eighties.

Bill Wallace. What makes him so special is not that heès Èjust antoher ex-champion' but htat he actually achieved what he did using his 'weak leg' (Avs his 'power leg') and trained that leg into the fastest kicking leg in history clocked at around 60 mph. And fought intelligently--stressing 'side profil stance'. SIMPLE. But somthing most people to this day are missing preferring to stand square--giving the other guy a bigger target. AND he went to college and got his Masterès Degree in 'body mechanicsémovement' ÈKinesology' (might have mis-speled that). Not just a mindless brawler ..the stereotype fighter. Retired undefeated as a middleweight world champio.
Oddly he was never considered a 'martial arts icon' . That title was givne to an Èentertainer' called Bruce Lee (dabbled in MA and nevre competed)....neever stepped into the ring...just 'talked a good talk' and loked good at the time on the big screen....came to the martial artséfilm world at the right time...when MA was still 'fringe')....
And to top it off....heès still giving seminars around the world. How many champions....from any sport....is gracious enough to share their knowledge with 'the average guy' ÉÉ Most donèt. Does Michael Schmacher gtive 'race-car driving lessonsÈÉÉ The chance to learn from one of the greatest of all time...GOLD. Whether or not we even remotely achieve 1é10 of wht he had....or desire to...

To kick from this angle, above the opponents hand, one puts oneself in a vulnerable position. You will not get the correct trajectory. And if the opponent knows that this is what is your habit,he will work out a defence.

there are several great fighters who kicked like that over the opponent's guard. There is even a kyokushin technique called the Brazilian kick, which was created precisely to be applied over a high guard. Mr. Bill wallace has several kicking techniques and he deceives the opponent very well, so it is very difficult to predict when this kick will come. Bill wallace knows the right time to apply and he feints the body and legs very well. Few in the world had his high leg and kicking skills.
