Did you manage to video record the 1st Minnesota program Chris led? I was one of the living historians and was hoping to find someplace to hear the program.

Watched this video earlier this morning, googled the 42nd Mississippi and found out by accident that Kevin Costner's Great-great Grampa Costner fought in this unit.

Beloved Matt! Thanks Stuff Writer for erecting his monument with your videos. If you see him next time, please tell him about his biggest fan from Germany. Ah, Bruce Dickinson is a close friend of mine, we used to fence each other. Now we only drink a bit once in a time and tell the old stories. Thanks both of you guys, god bless you!! I'd like to watch this talk but have now been driven away by the jarring ads that appear every few minutes. Sorry, Matt. UA-cam gone down the tubes.

Matt is a national treasure. He needs his own show discussing history. Not to mention he is a good old Mississippi boy even if he is an Ole Miss fan.

Matt Atkinson is the only Park Ranger I like to watch programs done by. He's not all over the place waving hands, ect like some other Civil War group that gives tours, not throwing shade just prefer Matt's style.

As I type this comment, I can hear the constant booms of fireworks throughout the county I live in. It brings a smile to my face.

Thanks for posting these. Mr. Stuffwriter! I always enjoy Matt's programs and hope to meet him at Gettysburg Park someday. My God! That Ben has really grown up over the years! Got quite the voice. Wonder if he will become a ranger and historian like his parents...

Matt outdid himself on this one, I think. Great story of a great man and a great family. We must not let them be forgotten.
