If you want to use a tablet instead of a phone, you have to use a tablet that has 4g or 5g service. Make sure the tablet is no more than a few years old. I bought an 8" Samsung galaxy tab A that was made in 2020 from eBay for $40 and it works good. The older tablets are too slow and the screen freezes constantly. The newer the tablet the better.

Compared to the atom se it performs better on video, if anyone is interested in a beginner drone I would equally recommend the dji mini 2 se and the fimi x8 mini v2.

I've just picked up a DJI Mavic Pro Fly more kit (3 batteries, charger, cables, extra props etc and bag) recently, from somebody with more money than sense from Ebay for £70!! Granted it sustained a crash and the camera came off, hence the price but i'm in the midst of fixing it, and it still flies...Dropped on mate! (excuse the pun)🤫🤭
@@RedskullPro On their website the fly more package is US$400. The drone by itself was $300. I think it's worth it to buy the fly more, and I'm not one to go for accessories much. But three batteries, carry case, charger, more spare parts and a 65Gb card is worth more than $100. Add shipping to that price by the way.

I have always used Video mode because I love taking photos and aerial shots, even yesterday it was about to lose the signal, then I made it go back, converted to Video mode and no problem! But isn't that a contradiction?!? Video mode should consume more battery because it is faster and therefore less power in transmission!

Unfortunately i gave away the Atom SE to a kid next door. Best thing to see the quality is to watch the sample videos in the Atom SE review and the samples from this one. There is no comparison. This is much better

It’s under 249 grams so it should skip all regulations. In the EU you still need a basic license to fly it and put a sticker on it. Im not sure what the Uk legislation is
Hi, can the drone be used without phone? I.E. connect drone to Tx and fly LOS? Also i watched Potensic video on connecting,,, i am confused, do yo have to connect the Tx and then also connect your phone? Can anyone help my Atom arrives today. Thanks.

An ipad mini is the only one that fits. The iPhone has a brighter screen and much nicer to see if you fly on a sunny day

Good question… I didn’t try without the phone… basically first you turn on the controller, than you turn on the drone and than you plug in the phone
