Thanks for the video! It helped me plan my trip. I visited both sides last week (Feb 29-Mar 2 2024). Entrance fee at the Argentinian side was 20,000 pesos (~21 USD) - it can be paid by Visa/Mastercard/American Express or cash. "Garganta del Diablo" (Devil's Throat) is closed since 3 months ago - there was an overflow and they need time to repair the walkways. Brazilian side costs 100 Reals (also ~21 USD) and it can be paid in cash on a booth or using machines if you prefer cards. And speedboat trip at the Argentinian side cost me ~62 USD.
The video you filmed is really cool 👍 I am thinking of traveling to Argentina next year. I will go to Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, and Mendoza. Thanks to you, I enjoyed watching it 😄 From Korea 🇰🇷
Thank you, we're glad to hear you liked the video, we loved Buenos Aires and Mendoza too. You will have a great time! How long do you plan to spend in Argentina?
I am so ~jealous !! I am planning ,too !!! Lol. A big hello from Los Angeles ! I am Japanese. Argentina has been in my bucket list since I was a kid !👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞
Perfect place for me. I love waterfalls. Smart to bring your food and water bottles. If you ever want to see armadillos there are plenty in Florida where I am from. Amazing to see so much water. It is super busy. Argentina must be awesome! Hello Brazil! it is beautiful along the trail. The Upper and Lower falls are both spectacular. Wow! Love that you go to Brazil. This is unreal! I love powerboats! Wow, you have never had sugar cane before? I love it. How exciting! Whoooo!! Fantastic!
We have had a few Florida trips and seen a lot of animals but never an Armadillo there, they're so quiet and chilled! Argentina has been a really cool place to travel it feels like so many countries in one! Yep first time chewing on a sugar cane, we had sugar cane drinks made on the beach in Zanzibar years ago but never just casually chewed on sugar cane, it was so good!
For any of you planning a trip to Iguazu and looking for a driver to cross the border, we have included our taxi driver Gustavos details in the description. As always thanks so much for watching!😊 If you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up👍🏼
Those waterfalls are insane, wow, it is awesome that you got to spend so much time right in the nature! What a cute tiny monkey, ayyy! I love how rainbow came out when you were watching the fall! Interesting how seeing the falls from both Argentinian and Brazilian sides is giving you different kind of feelings. Power boat into waterfalls seems like an AMAZING experience!! I would love to do that!
We loved the monkeys they were so inquisitive and cheeky with peoples food! 😂 The rainbow was so perfect, a sunny day in Iguazu creates them perfectly 🌈 we're so glad we crossed the border to see the Brazilian side, it's a really different experience!
Thank you very much, I have seen many of your vídeos and I appreciate very much your beautiful job, its awsome for me to know Argentina, you both are beautifull persons, I send you love from México🇲🇽🤗❤
I just went yesterday and there is so much more water and not to hot around this time!!! I’m hoping to explore the Argentinian side! You do get wet just depends on the time you visit on the Brazilian side!
You will definitely get very wet on the Argentinian side when you head over to Devils throat, we got soaked at low flow so can imagine it will be even more so now, enjoy!
I still find it wild that there are the official and unofficial costs for things. This looks like an epic day - you'd definitely need the full day to see this all and even maybe multiple days to really enjoy it and take your time. The view from the Brazilian side was beautiful! But no matter where you go there it looks beautiful. The monkeys where so cute. The powerboat looked so refreshing - but I don't think I'd get my hubby to do that unless we had a change of clothes with us - Kirsty looked like she got the most of the water!
After four months travelling around we still find it crazy, the financial situation here is unlike anything we have ever experienced. The falls are also unlike anything we have experienced in a totally different way, they're just beautiful, staring into the devils throat is mesmerizing!
Next adventure in Brazil: Caldas Novas in state of Goiás, where is the biggest hydrothermal resort of world with water at temperatures between 34 and 58 degress Celsius...

Hey guys, we decided to skip the drinking game...I think we would have been drunk pretty quick 😆 It was so amazing to see the Devil's Tongue in both Argentina and Brazil, the falls were so beautiful on both sides 😍 While the powerboat experience was a little pricey, being able to ride under the smaller falls would be so much fun 😁 How crazy you endured the heat for three days to end the experience in the 🌧️
Thank you for the nice and well done video. One question, I like to take pictures and I would like to know from you if it was necessary and how to protect the camera from the moisture of the falls. I will be there in November.... Thanks
It is a pity that they see this place with so little water level. From the Brazilian side, the little amount of water is very noticeable, but it is always a beautiful place, it is clear that they enjoyed it a lot.
nice video. If you want to be with the penguins, go to the Punta Tombo Reserve in Chubut, I saw that a youtuber went to an island near Ushuaia but you can't stay close there, instead in Punta Tombo yes and it's full of penguins. It is almost at the same latitude as the Perito Moreno glacier but on the Atlantic side.
Thank you so much for your recommendation.😊 We have just seen some penguins in Ushuaia and absolutely loved seeing them! We thought about heading to that area as we heard there are Whales that give birth there but we are heading up along the Western side of Argentina - we're sad to be missing the coastline along the East, such a big and beautiful country to travel!

You were either lucky or maybe unlucky because it was so hot with the wind direction when you were on the catwalk on the Brazilian side. Sometimes the spray from the nearby falls just drenches the end of the catwalk in the middle of the river.
He did drive us across the border from Argentina to Brazil and he was there to pick us up at the end of the day as well. I can't remember now how much we paid but I think we say it in the video.
We walked to the bus station and chatted to a driver, asked him how much it would cost. Gustavo was the best and such a lovely guy, his number is written here if you want to call or WhatsApp him 😊
Hiiiii, can I ask you something about the border crossing from Argentina to Brazil? How long did it take and did they asked you about your yellow fever vaccine? 🤗 Love your videos!!!♥️
Thank you, we actually did do the jungle tour but it was only an hour. You can skip it though by just saying you want to go on the boat and walking down to do the boat. Enjoy it's a really fun place!
Great video of the falls. I do have a question for you though. I'm coming on a cruise ship and it's overnight in Buenos Aires. I have only one day in the falls. I'm a landscape photographer and love taking pictures of scenery. Which side would you recommend that I should do?
Personally we both think the Argentinian side might be better for landscape photography, also the bridge out to the main viewpoint was closed recently in Brazil (no idea if it's re opened) but something to factor into the decision making. Enjoy your cruise!
Great video, especially of the boat ride on the Iguazu River. I’m leaving for there in 2 weeks and have a couple of questions. 1. If I am someone who is subject to sea sickness on the open ocean, do you think I’d have trouble on the boat in the rapids? 2. I know they give you waterproof bags for your phone and camera. Does the boat stop at least a few times so that you can take your phone out and safely film without destroying your phone? Thank you!
Take natural ginger tablets with you & chew on it before !! They sell at Wholefoods in U.S.,also on Amazon & many stores here in L.A. ! I take 'em often as I started getting car sickness. Good luck ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Thank you, it worked out really well, yes we just drove across (by taxi) the border in the morning from Puerto Iguazu to the Brazilian side and then drove back again in the afternoon. Highly recommend!
We had to fill in the DDJJ form on the way across and again on the way back in and had our passports stamped too. It may have changed as things were getting more relaxed and change quickly.
Monkeys with little old man faces 😂😂 they really do look so inquisitive 🧐 Great idea to bring your own lunch 👌 That lizard by the water fountain 😱 Wow! Devil’s throat Waterfall is just amazing! It must’ve been insane to see it in person! So cool that Brazil is just across from the viewing deck! Lol, those monkeys are as naughty as the ones here…they’re always stealing sugar from the restaurants on the beachfront 🤭 The waterfalls on the lower trail is also stunning! We’ve never seen an armadillo either, well done for spotting it. Oh wow…the final viewing point is just beautiful 🤩 Love the walkway across the river on the Brazilian side. Can’t actually believe how much time you can spend at the falls! I’m so glad you got to book the powerboat, definitely the best views and must’ve been an unforgettable experience 😌
Craig LOVES lizards out in the wild, he was so in awe of this one sharing a drink with us all! We still can't believe we got to visit this bucket list place full of wildlife and the devils throat was so mesmerizing we stood there for so long just staring into it.
Hello, I am going to Iguazu falls soon. Could you advise whats the best way to get entrance tickets to the National Park. Can I still buy them on site or need to book them via the website? I tried the official website but it seems that it doesnt accept my UK debit card :(
Don't worry it's not your UK card. We tried 3 different cards (2 UK, 1 international) and spent a long time filling that online form out and each time it lets you go all the way through it and fails at the end (guessing that's what you had too). They stopped selling the tickets online but for some reason they didn't update their website to let anyone know. We went out to ask at a local hostel in Puerto Iguazu after spending ages trying to get our tickets online. We explain the best way to get tickets in the first few mins of the video (easier to show it than type😅) you'll have an awesome time, it's an incredible place!
You have to come to Argentina with dollars in cash, it's the best. The entrance of the national parks you go and take the ticket in the place, the same with the excursions. You can left most of the money in the hotel, you can also carry it in a backpack belt inside your clothes, those that are not noticeable. It is a safe country, and there in Iguazu, very safe. On a trip I made, I met an Englishman who also had problems with his credit card and that was about two years ago, it seems that there is some kind of problem. I am from Buenos Aires but I have traveled 3 times throughout my country, feel free to consult me for anything. Don't be afraid to exchange money on the street. There are no problems with the police neither thief.
Best video I've seen on visiting Iguazú. When I return, I will devote one day to the Brasilian side, instead of only two days on the Argentine. I am now a subscriber.
Hello! do you know that Ron Ely´s "tarzan shout" was filmed at Iguazú falls in 1966? , also a few chapters of the first season. you can see it in UA-cam by the title "Ron Ely tarzan call" .
sadly you go in one day with lower waters... U NEED SEE WHEN IS FULL!! ITS YET MORE INSANE! Im brazilian, but respect the argentina side too, the Garganta do Diabo.
It's quite difficult to do anything like that online in this part of the world (even booking park entry tickets online in Argentina was not possible during our visit). For boats you just arrive at the park and book at the booths for a time that suits you.
OK. So everything can be purchased with a credit card on the Brazil side? Including the taxi from the Brazil side back to Argentina? And all the boat rides? Can you also pay with a credit card on the Argentina side?
You don't want to ever use any kind of card in Argentina. We paid for everything in cash withdrawn from Western Union to avoid the expensive exchange rate that is put on all card transactions and all bank withdrawals in Argentina. We did a video about it, called how to save half off your trip to Argentina.
@@TideKnotTravellers Thanks. So credit card in Brazil but not Argentina. Good to know. Also can you get a taxi to the Brazil side and a bus/tax back using a credit card for the trip back to Argentina?
We didn't book in advance, we had planned to get the bus but it was hectic so at the bus station we found some taxi drivers and spoke to a few before choosing to go with the most helpful and kind driver in Puerto Iguazu, turned out he even knew our accommodation hosts, small place with lovely people. Highly recommend Gustavo!
I feel sad and upset with myself. I was tired and did not completely see the Brazilian side. I didn't go down the walkway all the way to the lower bowl. Also, I did not go on the upper train to see the devils throat. I'm bummed, but I'm glad that I go see what I did.
Question about Uber from Puerto Iguazú to Foz do Iguaçu. How much was your ride? Will you be drop off at the Brazil border control building? Can you bring your full luggage across the border? How long slow or fast is the border control. In April 2024, I have to get Visa for US Citizen.
There is no Uber in little Puerto Iguazu, you’ll need to do what we did here and book a taxi from outside the bus station or take a bus. We took a personal taxi because they help you with the border crossing and yes you can take all your luggage if you need to.
Thank you for the information. This will help us with our travel. Question about the immigration. Do you have to get off the taxi and walk in the Border Control Building? Or you just stay in the taxi and show your papers and passport? Do you remember how much the taxi cost?
@@M1keTravel you have to get out and walk through and do the papers, the taxi driver will meet you on the other side as they can just drive through. I cannot remember how much we paid but we usually say it in the videos.
Curitiba? Fala sério! Mostrar contraste social no Rio com a foto do edifício ao lado da favela no bairro Morumbi em São Paulo da vontade de rir… Vitória, Maceió, Natal muito mais belas q a cidade do Paraná!!!!
Why didn't they do the boat ride from the Argentine side? It's much better than the Brazilian side since they can get closer to the San Martin waterfall and other waterfalls that they can't from the Brazilian side. In fact, the waterfalls that are approached from the Brazilian boat are Argentine. Something with which a formal complaint was filed, since Brazilians do tourism with something of ours (Argentina)
We tried to book both days on the Argentinian side but sadly they only had a few slots each day and got booked up very quickly. It’s a shame as we sort of thought exactly what you said that the falls are on the Argentinian side. Also we did feel the Brazilian side was very overpriced and although we did enjoy the boat ride if you look at 27:46 you’ll notice just how much they were focused on getting their own marketing shots with their GoPro rather than actually ensuring a good time for their current paying customers 😬
We haven’t visited Niagra Falls yet but Iguazu being in the tropics meant that as well as the waterfalls, walking around the parks were filled with so much interesting wildlife which for us really added to the experience. The waterfalls especially Garganta Del Diablo (Devil’s throat) was incredible to see up close.
_Upon seeing Iguazu, the United States First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed, "Poor Niagara!"_ Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls. On the other hand, the Iguazu Falls comprises of several hundred big and small waterfalls along 2 miles of Iguazu river. The tallest waterfall at Iguazu Falls is called ‘Devil’s Throat’ and it has a drop of 269 ft (82 meters). The Niagara Falls, on the other hand, has a maximum drop of 167 ft (51 meters). Which means Iguazu Falls (Devil’s Throat) is taller than Niagara Falls by almost 100 ft.
90% of the falls are in Argentine territory. Absolutely everything that is seen from the Brazilian side is Argentine. That Brazilians say they have falls, is a total cheek.

The waterfalls on the lower trail is also stunning!
We’ve never seen an armadillo either, well done for spotting it.
Oh wow…the final viewing point is just beautiful 🤩
Love the walkway across the river on the Brazilian side.
Bacana amigo👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
Gracias!
Thanks:) very nice video !!!!
Best video I've seen on visiting Iguazú. When I return, I will devote one day to the Brasilian side, instead of only two days on the Argentine. I am now a subscriber.
Thank you ☺️ hope you have a great visit to Iguazu and welcome to the adventures!
Hello! do you know that Ron Ely´s "tarzan shout" was filmed at Iguazú falls in 1966? , also a few chapters of the first season. you can see it in UA-cam by the title "Ron Ely tarzan call" .
Wow, what a great place to film it, can see how it would make a great set for it.
Olá! 🤗
Ola gato
👋🏼
sadly you go in one day with lower waters... U NEED SEE WHEN IS FULL!! ITS YET MORE INSANE! Im brazilian, but respect the argentina side too, the Garganta do Diabo.
Nossa. O lado brasileiro, tá seco.kkkkk ki zica
So you normally don't have to reserve the boat rides before hand?
Also can you get a taxi to the Brazil side and a bus/tax back using a credit card for the trip back to Argentina?
aim mach/glauch wall crib through the falls
Hello how did you book your taxi from Argentina to Brazil
We didn't book in advance, we had planned to get the bus but it was hectic so at the bus station we found some taxi drivers and spoke to a few before choosing to go with the most helpful and kind driver in Puerto Iguazu, turned out he even knew our accommodation hosts, small place with lovely people. Highly recommend Gustavo!
What time of year did you visit?
We were there in February.

Thank you again. I hope my driver will meet us on the other side. LOL. Take care.
Curitiba? Fala sério! Mostrar contraste social no Rio com a foto do edifício ao lado da favela no bairro Morumbi em São Paulo da vontade de rir… Vitória, Maceió, Natal muito mais belas q a cidade do Paraná!!!!
You are lucky i went 27 times (i live in iguazu city) and never see a armadillo
Wow 27 times! We were very surprised to hear and see the little guy strolling behind us ☺️
If I may ask, how do you fund your travels?
We both work online, run this channel and also saved for many years too.
@@TideKnotTravellers nice to have this kind of flexibility and courage to do what you are doing.
@@jay1970 thank you, we feel very lucky to have the courage (and each other) to do this ☺️
Why didn't they do the boat ride from the Argentine side? It's much better than the Brazilian side since they can get closer to the San Martin waterfall and other waterfalls that they can't from the Brazilian side. In fact, the waterfalls that are approached from the Brazilian boat are Argentine. Something with which a formal complaint was filed, since Brazilians do tourism with something of ours (Argentina)
We tried to book both days on the Argentinian side but sadly they only had a few slots each day and got booked up very quickly. It’s a shame as we sort of thought exactly what you said that the falls are on the Argentinian side. Also we did feel the Brazilian side was very overpriced and although we did enjoy the boat ride if you look at 27:46 you’ll notice just how much they were focused on getting their own marketing shots with their GoPro rather than actually ensuring a good time for their current paying customers 😬
al menos dejaron de usar los helicopteros y arruinar la naturaleza, se estaban yendo las aves por hacer eso.
❤ thanks, we’ll be there in early February and hopefully we can get in the falls!!
Oh ...no ! Wow !! That's not right ! Lol.💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞

@@TideKnotTravellers A younger, fitter version of course.

How do you compare this falls to Niagara Falls in Canada
We haven’t visited Niagra Falls yet but Iguazu being in the tropics meant that as well as the waterfalls, walking around the parks were filled with so much interesting wildlife which for us really added to the experience. The waterfalls especially Garganta Del Diablo (Devil’s throat) was incredible to see up close.
_Upon seeing Iguazu, the United States First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed, "Poor Niagara!"_
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls.
Which means Iguazu Falls (Devil’s Throat) is taller than Niagara Falls by almost 100 ft.
that's what's I call a motor home?! you slow
90% of the falls are in Argentine territory. Absolutely everything that is seen from the Brazilian side is Argentine. That Brazilians say they have falls, is a total cheek.
