Enquired about a reunion he says, "Being one of the largest bands there ever was, it's heartbreaking to watch how everything trickled down as it did. I think David Lee Roth, Michael Anthony, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen (as guitarist) need to release Van Halen IV and keep it in the same vein as Van Halen's first 3 albums.

I think as long as those guys were together but I think even though Alex and Ed are brothers and nobody knows what it's like to lose a family member especially a sibling except those who have. But my point is as close as those guys were together and like everyday I think they've all became as close to being brothers as you can get but I think it wouldn't hurt for them to go do some counseling because I think they are all still having their good days and their bad days they all loved Ed very much and miss him very much and they had the best time of their lives

They are all selfish..alex might be selfish but you can't blame him for not wanting to play on this tour for 2 reasons...1 he will never forgive sammy for writing that book about the 2004 tour..everyone knew at the tine ed was not well but sammy had to make money rubbing salt in the wound..i like sammy but that was very selfish..and 2 i believe sammy is 100% correct when he said alex loved playing with ed and just coud not imagine playing at all if it wasn't with ed...not wanting to play because it's not with your brother is not selfish at all
