You should definitely have the graffiti-style paint job recreated as a wrap. That way you still get the low budget diy vibes but higher quality.

I agree. Strip and basecoat the body. Then recreate the art with a wrap. Or paint the body a super deep dark purple. And recreate the hood art with a vinyl wrap panel. Meh, I'm not sure about the last idea

The only reason to put any effort into this car is to resurrect the nostalgia of your experience. That means you HAVE to keep the color scheme but creating a digital wrap allows you bring back all the lost details and if you ever have problems in future, you can reprint any damaged bits. I like the idea of a refreshed/modernized take on the interior. Good luck beating Jared!!

I would get a parts car and restore this car back to its former glory, give it a good paint job, and then fix a lot of the hack jobs junior Freddy did when he was 19. I'd love to see this car be restored.

Personally I believe that the paint should go either one of two ways to signify how much more mature and refined you've become.
1: Don't do the exact same paint scheme but something similar, but in a way that doesn't make it look wacky, but more out of something from the early Fast & Furious days.
2: Paint it something similar to chromaflair, so that it'll retain the same colorscheme but look much more refined and tuned in.

This is an exciting build - right up there with the lambos. I'd love for the original paint scheme to be recreated. Basically, don't change anything (apart from the gearbox swap), just make everything correct this time around.

I don’t know how orchestrated this is but I’m all into it. I appreciate being new to your channel and the work you did is a 19-year-old. Very creative and the kind of jury rig and my dad probably did. Except you were 19 and Daddy was in his 40s and 50s doing this kind sideways engineering. Naturally I really appreciate the fact it’s a manual and I’m also really digging the steering wheel. Is it original?

A digitally enhanced wrap of the original car, New headlights/tail lights, a new transmission, an adjustable cam gear on the Intake lol. And a single turbo

Definitely think you should find a way to keep the cars paint design. Whether its repainting it or having it scanned to recreat it as a wrap. It's just part of the cars overall design and signature. Can't wait to see how it comes together. 👍👍

You should do a blaze Blue plastic dip paint job and do it your self. And then gloss black Vinyl the roof to give it that tinted glass roof look

I’m a fan of the high quality graffiti wrap as well. Maybe a interior update better seats and a aem dash or something.

Keep the Graffiti, some coilovers and swaybars, brakes are already in the plan as well the turbo, fuelpump and injectors, cooling and you might wanna get a working AC. Seats and either stock seatbelts or harnesses. Wheels and tyres are already on the list. Interior too. Maybe an ECU.

I say get the whole car except the hood, roof, and trunk painted in a very nice base color. The hood, roof, and trunk, either sand until they are clearable or have it wrapped as you said etc. black on the sides (just for example) with the ratty paint job as a center accent. Just my thoughts

  • @Doctors_TARDIS

You should get the paint scanned and then recreated in a wrap. But take off the hood and save it. Clear over it. I know it's not in great shape but save that part at least.

You could either get a clearbra wrap as what Larry of AMMO NYC uses, or another SC300/400 for parts to transfer to.

I like to see that you make the car as light as possible by removing the most of the interior. I also like the painting whats currently on the car. I think this is a perfect low budget vuile!😁👍🏼

Freddies face during that test drive says all you need to know about that engine in its current condition. Copy the style of the artwork and re-do as a wrap, that way if it's damaged the repair is easy.

If you do this route, hire an artist to jazz it up some, clean up the lines, keep the overall aesthetic. But yes, use donor car to replace the shell of it so it has something nice to wrap onto.

I think it would be really cool to find the artist that originally painted your old one and have them paint the sheet metal on the new donor car. Take the old panels off and use as artwork on your walls of your shop.
