Excellent EIN (Everything I might Need) kit. Packed in the tin, I’d carry as a last ditch kit in an urban environment. The same supplies in a pouch, where items can be easily accessed and replaced as needed, would make a great EDC.
That's an amazing amount of helpful stuff! Those aluminum whistles are indeed very loud for the size. Sucrets tins and Bandaid tins were the pocket survival kits when I was a kid. I like to include a SAK Classic in tiny kits or a bigger Victorinox knife if there's space, but that's often half the price of any project. Could maybe fit a piece of sandpaper or a Fresnel lens? It looks PACKED. And very well thought-out.

Yea that would be good it would need to be strapped to the outside of the kit because he got alot of stuff packed in here not a bad in not too much is going to fit other than what’s in there
the saw blade is thicker than a utility blade for sure but that other knife is a dermasafe razor, the blade is riveted in into the plastic frame. To insert the saw blade the rivet would need drilled out then some sort of small Chicago screw would need added plus the whole drilled in the blade. It’s not impossible but a lot of work for this size kit
It’s a great little tin I would almost say you can fit more in this than an altoids tin depending on the thickness of your items this is a great tin of stuff

I’m probably showing my age here, but I had no idea what Sucrets even were until this video! This kit actually hits most of my typical “must-haves” for a survival kit, so I can’t critique too much from an add/throw out perspective; the only missing bits that I normally mention are a small sewing kit (which I’d lump the safety pins into), a small multi-tool, and a survival card. The only real critique I have of this kit is actually organizational in nature; to my mind, there’s a lot of room (no pun intended) for compartmentalizing “like” bits of kit together. For example, it might serve better to have the fishing kit somewhat pre-made with a hook attached to the line and hooked into the band with the kit as a whole contained in a small plastic sleeve. The safety pins I mentioned I’d add to a sewing kit in a small plastic sleeve as well. In fact, all of the like kit items I’d compartmentalize into their own small plastic sleeve; medical, repair, fishing, and maybe fire. Other than that…this is actually an awesome and very complete kit and I’d DEFINITELY buy one or buy a Sucrets tin now and make up my own. P.S. I’d also DEFINITELY want to see you do a modern build and testing of the kit from the last video!
Thanks maybe I will rebuild that kit then it would be cool to test it with new components. As for everything else I do get what you’re saying. Pack the kit up like modules. I see why he didn’t though it might not fit with all those extra bags. Other than that I have like 1000 of those hotel sewing kits that would be great for this. It’s so flat and has all the components to sew a small hole or more. This definitely was one of the better kits for sure
I have never seen any kind of tooth medication in a survival tin. You gotta pick your battles with these tins. Space is still limited. The temp filling kits are small I have one at my house here but that little jar would take a lot of real estate in the tin. I’ve never had a filling,cavity, or infected gums so that would be a waste of space for me. If you have a toothache going into an overnight survival situation that should have been fixed before you went for a hike or hunt. It might not be bad for a long term survival bag. This is actually the first comment I ever received about oral gel 😅 definitely creative thinking but I would probably take a Swiss army classic before I put the filling kit and oralgel

This kit needs more aquatabs; in fact, the whole kit should be nothing but aquatabs.
Joking aside, this kit is pretty well thought out.
Yea he did a great job adding useful components in such a small kit. 1.5 gallons of aquatabs hardly cuts it for 24 hours 🤣

You have that razor blade holder, so fit the saw blade to that...

Why do none of these kits ever have a small thing of oral gel, and a temp filling? They take no space, and nothing kills sleep like a toothache.
