I absolutely love the sound design of destiny 2. The sound team, music team and artists always crank out S tier work every release. A post on Reddit inspired me to make a compilation of the best and most satisfying sounds this game has to offer. I cut probably about 60% of what I recorded and only put in my favorites.

Stasis is so crunchy I love it.
Crunchy is right. I honestly would not be surprised if at least some of the sounds involved modulating some sort of cereal hitting an empty bowl or being crunched or what.
The bungie sound team probably has to be the most creative and innovative team in the industry. The sounds of stasis, the ambiance when in the realm of the Nine, how you can have 5 different auto rifles and all of them sound different, the sound of the pyramids, its all so unique and unlike anything youll hear in any franchise on the market
It's been that way since the first Halo. Everything sounds distinct, but right.
the know how to do only sounds😂 when you look at the specific things of the game is one of the worst game ever developed, and trust me thats my favourite game but bungie really fucked up with destiny 2

i think the warlock stasis sound is legit one of the best sounds in the entirety of the franchise

Those little “vwomp vwomp VWOMP vwomp”s nova warp makes when teleporting just fill me with such joy, one of the many reasons I love void warlock the best
the "vWOM-PWOOM" from the void pulses is a treat to hear
It's terror for my enemies as I wipe their whole team LMAO
With the changes to Astrocyte Verse, you can spam the living hell out of the teleport
@@BossTyphlosion yeah, it makes nova warp a lot better for people who main it like me, the movement was already good, but it only needed that reduction of cost on super energy to sky rocket into even better tiers
Nova warp sounds so menacing when you're far away
This was recorded before Gathering Storm came out for Hunters, and man does it sound so satisfying to hurl at enemies. The crackling in the charge up, then it sounds like releasing an electrified rubber band. It’s awesome
Hearing it being cast far away when its silent is fucking terrifying

Same feeling i had with Hammerhead, i love my high-impacts, especially terminus my beloved.
But the sound of Ham Head is something else.
hearing a symphony of whispers shooting in rapid succession (oryx dps phase) is something you have to experience in-person.
Hadn't realised the moon sniper sounded so good
If there's ever anything in the game to not be disappointed by, it's the sound design by far.

I adore the sounds of the moon weapons, they perfectly convey the cornered and reckless nature of the story of shadowkeep. Especially the dream breaker. I hope they become craftable in the near future, it would be a shame to let them rot in the archaic system of acquisition through bounties.
I swear Tranquility has a shriek in the tail-end of the firing sound. The moon weapons all sound haunted and exhausted almost

the only other thing i would’ve added, was the sound of entering and exiting a vex gate. always loved that sound

Nothing is more satisfying than multiple shield break sounds triggering in rapid succession.
Bro graviton is so eargasmic, I literally spent a whole half an hour shooting graviton in the edz while edging. 10/10 best experience of my life

Honorable mention to Graviton firing, Vex barrier 'warbling', Shadebinder activation, Sunbreaker activation, the sound of a wellskate, and the Outbreak 'chime' tho

10/10 for the video. Definitely makes me appreciate the sound design a lot more. I never knew dawnblade projectiles have a whistle when traveling.

My all time favorite sound is the warden servetor's voice from The warden of nothing mission. My second favorite is the sound of the fallen mines. The echoing chirps they make are very haunting.

Wonderful video. I keep coming back to try and see what the Warlock and Hunter gloves are - I'm pretty sure it's Pyrrhic Ascent for the Hunter, but the Warlock wraps I'm stumped by.

That sounds of lighting surging through the air like a rocket sends fear to my heart. As a warlock I know when I hear that sound it means imminent death from anywhere from the rocket that is the arch titan.

Arc has the crackling
Stasis is crunchy and shattering
Strand sounds like a whip crack
Not having chaperones whipcrack is criminal but not complaining that video was soothing

Honestly Graviton Lance is the entire reason I started and now have almost 4500 hours in the game. Just the sheer UMPH of the sound made me fall in love.

Nova warp has the best sound imo by far and the whole aesthetic of it (I just love explosions and intimidating sounds). Shadebinder is next to it.

God activating stromtrance just sounds so f*cking powerful, it really makes you feel you’re striking the ground with a lightning bolt.
My fav sounds are the echoes in stasis supers. Look up frozen lake sounds youll see what i mean.
And my fav gun sound is the mechabre. The mech sniper.
