So today I am doing a reaction of sorts to this video a guy made, titled "Cuties: An Uncomfortably Honest Review" in which the guy goes on to make a fool of himself for nearly twenty minutes. Lets take a critical look, and have a discussion.

It is literally one of my worst fears. My anxiety makes me think every adult around me is unsafe to be near sometimes, even though nothing has happened and I educate myself to make sure it won't. That's so sad to hear, as someone who grew up on the internet. And exactly why disgusting creeps like him need to be actively called out. The internet can be wonderful, you can make amazing lifetime friends and discover all sorts of fulfilling hobbies! But always be careful, just as you would in real life. Never give away any personally-identifying information, as often as you hear it said it's important. And if someone is making you uncomfortable, never feel the need to respond or give them any further acknowledgement. If you are a minor and someone is making you feel uneasy, you are absolutely allowed to just walk away. We can't confirm someone is the age they claim to be without full on video chatting with them, so never assume a person is telling the truth. All that said... there are still many great people and safe-enough spaces to adventure in out there. Just like real life, we just have to learn how to go about it safely.

These guys are narcissistic enough to think the world revolves around their world views and sick fantasies. That's why they put their faces out there to say things like that.
Once I did a commission to a project (it was a body for a lolita/Harajuku style dressup game). The project's owner was trying to reel me as an associate, and started to tell me his history with the fashion, etc. He "got to know lolita fashion because he saw the movie "Lolita" and found the girl very sexy and tried to search on the web for more girls dressed like that." Noticing how irked out I was, he proceeded to explain the he knew that japanese lolita fashion had nothing to do with the book/movie, but he liked the looks of lolita fashion anyways, etc. Later in the conversation, he brings up basically the same argument as the guy in this video, that "little girls are inherently sexy". I was grossed out and he still treating it as a fact, and something very natural.
(I got my money from the commission and left the project. And he never actually made the game. Years later, social media recommended me his profile and I found out he got married and had a little girl after that. That made me so sad. I really, really hope that kid grows up okay and he doesn't do anything to her).

I'm really pleased to hear that last bit about demonizing them. I think that when we demonize pedophiles like this, say that inevitably they'll commit a crime, that they give up on themselves a bit and are more likely to commit a crime. I watched a documentary a few months ago that looked into the minds of pedophiles, and found they have wires crossed in their brains, the part of a person brain which is sees a child and feels protective is crossed with the sexual part of the mind. It also doesnt help that most of these help lines wont take on a pedophile that hasn't yet offended, which is ridiculous that they'd want a child hurt before they try to find a solution. I think that these people should be able to seek therapy, to find time to heal. I recall reading a reddit post about a man who had been raped when he was a child and his sexual feelings never developed further, but when he managed to gather the courage to find a doctor willing to help, he was successfully treated.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is pedophiles need serious help, and at the moment, we aren't providing it. If we can start helping, I think harm to children in such a way could be significantly reduced.

@@scharky2144 No of course it will never fully succeed on everyone, but it´s still doing more than turning people with these issues away and letting them run free with no other way to deal with it, but acting out on them.
It´s like the norwegian prison island, which focusses way more on rehabilitation than on punishment. On some people it might not work, but all in all it reduces the relapse number of ex-criminals.

Like they won't do it for themselves or just refuse to do it for the safety of children or evade it. At that point, we have to lock them up or restrict them from any areas with children. Pedos arent to be pitied. If they have no remorse for their actions or feel dirty or guilty they're just as bad as murderers. Lock em up or kill them tbh.

As someone who did cheer, gymnastics, dance, swim, etc. the reason why the clothes are like that is so there is a wider range of movement and freedom. THOSE SPORTS REQUIRE LOTS OF MOVEMENT, THUS REQUIRING IT TO BE TIGHT!!!

legit I watched the movie bcus there was so much controversy about it and I've never felt so uncomfortable?? I found myself skipping most of the dance scenes because it was just way too much. Pedophiles actually don't choose to be attracted to children. They can't help their attraction to minors, it's a mental illness.
HOWEVER, they absolutely can choose and control whether or not they act on those urges and desires. I don't feel like pedophiles should be attacked unless they're looking at pornographic pics of minors/harming minors. I'm NOT saying to not condemn their behavior. I'm a minor who's been sexually assaulted by a 30 some year old man. What I believe we should do is confront those will suspect of suffering from this sickness, encourage them to get help, and look out for any red flags of them acting out their urges. Please encourage them to get psychiatric help. I feel like us screaming at and shaming people for this sickness is the reason they're hesitant to get psychiatric help and end up acting on these horrible desires.

I'm going to keep my Netflix subscription because I don't really like other tv sub services, and I LOVE SO MANY Netflix "Originals." That said, I am boycotting the movie itself. I refuse to watch it, and my son and fiance won't be watching it either. I feel like it says more that I still have Netflix and won't watch it because they could take people cancelling as them just wanting to cancel, whereas I still have it, and I am still not going to watch it even though all it will really cost extra, is my time.

I've been avoiding this video, buuut I needed something to watch so here we are.
As a minor myself, the mere thought of children/preteens being sexualized makes me gag.
The fact that someone thought this up, the thought of how many people saw what was happening, had to look this all over and approve it all, *their parents allowing this,* the hundreds of hours of work that went into what is literally cp, the fact that someone enjoyed such content.
And something I haven't seen anyone talk about:
*The children who were involved in the making of this film.* This is going to permanently affect them. Their mental health. Their social life. This will follow them forever. They deserve so much better, and this is honestly the most upsetting part of it all to me.

because i don't care if they look like females or not, (that seems to be the standards that need to be met for these men) they're kids, and what they're doing isn't on them. what their doing is from other influences or in the case of this movie, straight up directions. and if a kid is hormonal or starting to develop feelings for other people, this does not in any way mean they are emotionally or mentally ready to take part in any sexual act or even to have the burden of being attracted to by adults. sometimes a child will enjoy kissing their boyfriend/girlfriend or something, other times they won't feel ready for that. but the bottom line is, sexualizing children is horrible, because they don't have the maturity and experience to understand what affect what they're doing has on other people. even if they understand that they appear sexual and "arouse" others, they're far too young to decide if thats what they want to do.
if you are suffering from pedophillia, get help. find a therapist you can talk openly to, and in the mean time just stop thinking that way about literal elleven year olds.
