I understand this is for a beginner level of padel but really do not try this against more advanced players. Obviously the shot can situationally be good but what it really ends up doing is opening the court up for your opponent and making your space to cover a lot wider. In the forehand cross especially your opponent will have a really easy time with his forehand to punish your positions when you cant cover all the space. Or even have an easy angle to lob over your "wrong shoulder". This is why you see the pros hitting 80% of their shots central because they are way too good at punishing an open court. it really cant be defended fully. Next cross match, try instead exaggerating central balls and youll make it a lot harder for your opponent to punish you. You leave them no angles to work with so even if their shot is perfect you wont struggle to put the ball back.

I agree but even at advanced level it should be used occasionally to change it up, otherwise to predictable
