I just realized, black frost’s design didn’t change along with Jack Frost, his hat still resembles the old model
You first encounter Black Frost in shin megami tensei 3. The other demons refer to him as the emperor and when you finally encounter him you discover that he's a Jack Frost that has leveled himself up and turned evil and attempt to rule all. Then later when you're exploring the bonus dungeon when you get to a certain point he just shows up and says hey I'm back and joins your party automatically if you have a space for him. He doesn't ask he just decides that since you defeated the emperor of evil he's going to be your henchman. Solid.

Black Frost is based on a Japanese pun that doesn't translate. Instead of "Jakku Furosuto" it's "Ja'aku" which roughly means evil/troublesome

Shin Megami Tensei, you might know of it’s popular spin off Persona. Jack Frost is basically the overall SMT mascot and shows up in pretty much all the games, even other atlus games that aren’t related to SMT like Etrian Odyssey in some way.

Yeah french werewolf boss was one of the hardest in the game for me. Super high stats for where he is in the game. Demons used to have skills for negotiation now I'm pretty sure only the MC does it except in particular scenarios where the demons are related somehow.

You need to have either black or king in the party and talk to Jack. They will appear to talk instead. I wonder if it's always the same line, or are there different ones. With different outcomes. Because here we got Jack getting bullied and leaving. Wonder if he can get different treatment and join.

He's Huge if you talk to him in the overworld. SMT games tend to shrink down the party members when in battle. Probably to fit them on the screen.
