Can someone please please tell if this is right. So he basically played the third with a few flavor notes over each chord he played in the first example. If thats the case I'm so happy I understand that and how pretty that sounds

I can write songs, play guitar and write my own chord progressions, but I cannot create my own melodies without going out of tune, idm my voice but I'm not in tune man ahah I always fuck up doing vocals because I literally can't create melodies and it drives me up the wall my music sounds so boring

So what comes first song lyrics or creating melody? How do you do this to a beat? I picked a beat or track as they say. I write lyrics. Then I’m stuck. I never record or do anything with those lyrics. So to stop self sabotaging myself do I need learn melody or vocal production to figure how and what places in the best to sing and time those lyrics ?

Baby doll Siren I’m currently looking for this. Can’t come up with the right terminology to ask a question but nothing fucking comes up. Very frustrating. I have a a couple songs in the mix and need vocal melody over it or the vocals and I can’t come up with anything that’s not monotonous or repetitive
