I seriously think this band is underrated and should be much more popular BUT i believe that's about to change with them joining TOOL as special guest on their European Tour later this year. It's a great opportunity for them to get massively recognized. ❤
Can't wait to see them with TOOL
I think the biggest barrier is just not having a vocalist. I love instrumental music but the vast majority of people aren’t that into it and want vocals to connect to.
@@fargogh8122 Animals As Leaders have gotten a pretty impressive following being instrumental lately. So seems possible as good as these guys also are.
There is no singer so it will never be main stream....they're amazing I'm just saying
@@davidleech8270 Who cares about mainstream? Most of it is terrible anyway! Long live great original music! Animals as Leaders were tiny when I saw them open for Dredg in 2010 and now they do pretty well. I am sure Night Verses will see the same!
I have been addicted to Night Verses, particularly this song, since this video was released. I can't stop jamming this.
Aric has to be one of the most under-rated drummers in music at the moment. Stunning. Deserves some big props from those in the drumming World.
Opening for TOOL ain't too shabby.
I’m so glad these guys are finally gaining more attention. I’ve been a massive fan since they dropped From the Gallery of Sleep, and with that album, it was obvious to me that they’d be at the forefront of prog metal. They’re all world-class musicians and insanely creative. They sound so familiar yet totally unique. Now all we need is for them to hop on a big tour!
Love the occasional band playthroughs!
Aric is in the
Top 5 Drummers on the Planet
He’s currently my favorite. Lots of great drummers out there and I don’t really listen to prog/metal much these days- but the way he sneaks in his cymbal work is just like.. “how??”
They are some seriously ambidextrous musicians, man there good!!!🤯👋🤘❤
I LOVE ARIC IMPROTA!
This band is incredibly talented and really should be bigger than they are. Been a fan of them since the beginning and the chemistry between Aric, Nick, & Reilly truly is something special
Holy those drum sounds are sick.
One of my favourite bands rn!
Is insane how clean, loud and fast Aric is. All that while being so creative, without a doubt one of the best drummers in the world
This band is so damn good. wtf
🔥🔥🔥
Awesome stuff!!
Best drummer of all time
You've got a new fan. Great stuff.
This is so nasty...speechless 🔥
Such an amazing band! Recently got into NV, lovely stuff
Excellent !!
Drummer like a ninja... Amazing!
- Salesman: how many effects pedals do you want sir?
- Nick DePirro: yes
First time I saw you was when you competed in the GC Drum Off. Your intensity mixed with insane chops blew me away. And I thought you won that thing hands down. Keep inspiring brother 🙏👊
This is insane!
Love this! Go ARIC
Bass and guitar are 2:00 ❤
And Drums always 🔥
Can we get a live recording with brandon boyd or anthony green, too?
@MeinlCymbal I Love it
Aric is night verses frontman and I love it
2nd favourite track off the new album. Phoenix being the best 👌👌👌
I second this motion
Just completely abso-friggen-lutely ridiculous. 3 god-tier musicians firing on all cylinders
shit slaps.
Nice. i like this.
dope!
Rock Lives!!!! ❤
Recognized this band from abasi guitar. They have unique tones/nuances, but I can't describe that.
Props to Aric for pushing metal drumming forward. The whole band is amazing, though.
holy shit
is the geometry on the drum heads sacred geometry or regular geometry
God damn!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥
That overhead cam at like the :50 mark.....witaf???
🕊
what are the cymbals references ?
Thank you
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The guitar player looks like if Mike Shinoda and Big Jay Oakerson had a baby
супер топ !
❤❤❤❤👍👍💪💪💪💪🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️
Gahdamn
How did I not know this band until now?
Some drum parts sound awfully a lot like Guillotine's intro from Stray From The Path lmao
if you listen to enough of reynlord's live streams and videos you will find out he actually took that idea from eric!!
I've never heard so much dissonance in a guitar chord 1:10
Wish bass players would stop using picks
Yeah, not even close!
Wish people would stop complaining when bass players do use picks
I'm sure you do
Why?
Drummer was too busy and the mix covered up the guitar.
It was all perfect and you just don't get it
He filled in every last bit of time with noise, where’s the space to build tension? From 200hz-1,000hz it’s muddy and the guitar and bass loses definition besides the occasional melodic notes that peak through. Composition and mixing are a matter of preference, and to me, the drums were busy and the drum mix overshadowed the melodic elements of the music.
@@crashthekid It’s called prog with a lot of contrasting elements. We can use eq and a band of numbers to describe it if you like but that doesn’t really describe aesthetics.
To put it this way, these guys have been chosen to open for Tool at the starting dates of their euro tour. Being one of the biggest bands in our genre seems like quite a vote of confidence to me. More than you or me being commenters on UA-cam.
@@crashthekid Some speak the way you have about the genre of metal overall so those descriptions are meaningless until you are the one mixing the album. Their new album sounds amazing btw
@@gmyersgilmer9470 Did I mention aesthetics? I don't care what they look like. Yes, frequency is a good way to describe the quantitative and qualitative qualities of music. ItS cAlLeD pRoG... obviously bruh. I listen to metal and prog everyday. A lot of metal mixes lack tonal definition in the guitars and bass. I have a bachelors in composition and a masters in music from Berklee, amd im a professional audio engineer. This music lacks counterpoint and substance. Plus, prog is supposed to have different time signatures and all their music is in 4/4. I can't describe music unless I mix the album? That statement is not backed by any logic.
In all honesty , that's awesome that they are opening for Tool for a couple shows. Good for them and I wish them all the success on their tour and finding new fans. They aren't that popular though, 80k monthly listeners is way below average considering most bands have 200-300k and Polyphia has 1.5 Million monthly listeners.
The video is massively out of sync.
No.
Definitely is not.
@@meinlcymbals ok i believe you, maybe it`s on my side.
Not even close bruh
their music has sorta got longer and more chaotic... but its still really good
