Nick is a true innovator that's always doing the coolest stuff on guitar. Glad to see him getting this recognition!
Love how he played the Tool solo and it sounded like a Night Verses solo haha, such a distinct sound the guy has. One of the most interesting modern guitarists right now
As soon as I heard Night Verses, I immediately thought "wow, this music completely and utterly speaks to me". And now I find out Nick has exactly the same taste as me, so that initial reaction makes a lot of sense now!
This gent has immaculate taste.
For real. Every band is a banger
Nick has great taste in music Thrice, Deftones, RATM, The Mars Volta, Opeth I can hear for sure hear the influences in his playing no wonder I like Night Verses so much! Their new album is killer! \m/
More of this please, with song description below.
Parabola is my favorite tool song to this day, and seeing it played like that opened my eyes on how weird of a riff it truly is. Thank you for sharing, Nick!
All of those tracks are really great influences. No wonder why I love Night Verses so much.
This was so sick. Loved the song choices, especially The Mars Volta.
I've been a long time fan of Night Verses and never realized how much I'd fully align with all his choice. Each new entry was on point.
Nick is awesome. Cant wait to see yo guys this summer!
Just found this band a few weeks ago and totally fell in love. Now I know why because he’s inspired by all of my favorite bands. 🤘🤘
he blew me away. again! spot on with that Rational Gaze riff!
Not many bands today have a distinct unique sound, but Night Verses definitely is one of them.
I remember first time hearing "Trading Shadows" and being absolutely blown away.
Tone, rhythm, composition - true masterpiece.
And thinking about with this video's new found knowledge I can understand how those bands influenced their sound 😁😁
wow great list of influences and choice of songs.
Damn, we a lot of similar influences!
Well besides the obvious like RATM, Deftones and Meshuggah , big ups for The Mars Volta (from their best album), Opeth and Tool’s Parabol
Gonna need a full version of the parabola cover thanks
Just discovered you guys a few days ago due to the new album! Fantastic stuff, and a cool video! That solid from Parabola has always stuck with me, too.
Nick's amazing!
Basically all of my favorite bands he just riffed on 🤘🏻
No wonder he's my new favourite guitarist
Respect on wielding those sweet EBMMs!
Homies got killer taste in music!!
Riff Daddy is so clean wit it. Always a fancy lad with his pinky out. Absolutely in love with the new NV album.
😂
He got every pinch harmonic perfectly while playing the parabola solo
Nick is the coolest.
Haven’t listened to NV since their debut. Just checked and I’ve been missing out to include a new release! lol. Also I share similar a taste in music so it’s cool see it influencing him too.
Love this
New Night Verses is tasty.
When you have to pre-record you favorite riffs with full production, you can see how good of a guitarplayer you are...
Thrice! Damn, haven't heard of them in a long while.
Meshuggah, Tool, RATM 🤘🤘
Hahah fucking hell yeah dude, Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt is such an amazing song. Gets overshadowed by everything else on that awesome record but it's a banger.
What's that six string his playing for the Fistful of steel rif ? Looks super rad

Opeth annnnd a Deftones fan !!
I fn knew it...I could hear Mars Volta all over Night Verses.

They’re not really a riff oriented band though
