    Brilliant design, so much room for a 55ft yacht. So we'll thought out to enable private areas for basically 3 couples plus a crew area and still have massive sheltered common areas and haven't touched the deck yet?

    Very interesting and innovative design. I am especially impressed with the cockpit area. Access the engine compartiment from there, like the Amels, is very convenient. Not being able to access the guest cabins through inside the yacht seems very inconvenient though. I expect other design options are available. Congrats to Jeanneau!

    • @jamietibbott-jeanneau636
      @jamietibbott-jeanneau636  11 місяців тому

      Hi
      if you mean the white bulkhead, this essentially creates the door to the owners cabin, hence the pricy required. double doors are used, to make the forward boat section open, to create an owners space.
      One thing to note, the bulkhead is now in wood, so that it blends in with the rest of the design better.

    It's a marina caravan! The cockpit in a storm? Forget it! When a person mentions the word 'lovely' 10 times you know that it's not sea passage focused but marina focused. And the owners apartment?! Sorry guys, this is a marina caravan not a serious sailing yacht.

    • @woolyimage
      @woolyimage Рік тому

      It has probably been designed like many boats for the med market. Most yachts never undertake any major sailing voyages so there is nothing wrong in designing boats for a specific market. Plenty of boats have been designed for "serious" sailing eg Amel, Oyster, Nautor Swan, HR, Sirius etc etc. Horses for courses.

      @@RHP9898 I am well aware of that, but it has plenty of marinas, even if they tend to be a bit expensive. Nearly bought a boat in italy a few years back, it was in a marina near Rosignano Solvay. Lovely place and I had a nice holiday but we just couldn't agree on a price.
