Thanks guys for a great episode. Your honest perspectives of the boat and newness to sailing are refreshing. The boat is WOW, OMG I googled it a few episodes back and was a bit meh, but seeing the space above deck, John's comparison to a Cat and the size of the two rear cabins left me feeling like WOW - Jeanneau have created something special here. You guys are so lucky...but so are we because you content is awesome - thanks so much.
Thanks so much Dean!! 🙂 Yes, even after 2 years… there is SO MUCH to learn 🤣 a don’t mind being vulnerable on here because we all start somewhere, and I know there are so many people out there who would feel the same way. It can be so confronting, and I feel all those things too 🤍 but I hope we can inspire more people to give it a go, even if they’re not perfect or have little experience 🙂 You’re so right, how about this boat!! It is WOW! It really has so much deck space, there are so many places to relax and enjoy - it’s beautiful x Thanks so much again for saying hi, it brightens up my day to be able to connect here ❤️
We didn't realise life could even look like this... honestly. This boat makes it look like a dream. It's going to be hard to give back... 🫣😉 but.. in the meantime.. we have 1,000+ nautical miles to go... bring on ITALY AND FRANCE!!!!

Hey Guys ...without a doubt ...the best ever sailing travel video...
Thank your for the great video's. We've seen them all! And because of you we are going to buy the J55 :) After sailing over 40.000 nautical miles, this boat will bring a new adventure. We've really enjoyed all your lovely stories. Maybe we'll meet on the Cannes Boatshow. We'll be there, invite you for an amazing dinner. Michael & Cindy.
Wow! The Koru is amazing!! We recently made a film that featured the Black Pearl in Montenegro. The Black Pearl was the largest sailing yacht before the Koru was built. I would love to see it!
It's about 8:40pm here in Sydney. Just finished dinner and eating an ice-cream. I'll tell you in about 30mins after watching the video! But it looks good so far. 😊
Hi krys, I am so excited to see you again with your sophisticated boat, which I haven't seen yet how it works, i have seen one just for a tour inside and as one of their newly displayed boat shows, and I am very surprised with the passage rail oopsss, did I spell them properly? And aside from being automatic it has a sound like a back horn of a backing car, Sad to say I'm really out of your advanced world🙄😕, the hidden electric grill oven was fantistic, has never seen that before too and the galley is very cool almost the size of a cat for a 6m wide, it is very huge for a single handed mono, and the interior color😱 very relaxing❤and comfort , it has many interesting features that you could only see them in super yachts to think its a 55ftr mono hall boat, the rooms are pretty big, and every space were utilized in a comfortable way, even the TV set are hidden safely, sorry I talk too much😁, never imagine how huge it is,.. I bet it costs you a fortune to rent a brand new boat like that, well new ones are better, they don't break easily or have some issues like leaks, electric failure, water maker probs, the good thing is it fits you both, very cool boat for a very cool couple❤☺ love to watch more from your coming videos, I like that boat so cool😎,.. Sorry krys i always talk and talk and talk...🤫🥴🤐
Yes, agree and omg, he absolutely aced it!!!! He made it look EASY! I should have mentioned… it has been about a year since parking up Tucana, so in my opinion, it blew my socks off!!!!! My nerves were high.. but honestly, he said the stern and bow thrusters make parking a whole new ball game. He’s said it’s so easy it seems like he’s cheating haha 😆 How incredible though to know in sticky situation, or if you haven’t been behind the helm in a while, you have all the tools available to you to park like a pro. Such a comforting feeling!!!!!
Thanks for another interesting episode. Such amazing history. Get yourselves some good gloves for those mooring lines, some of them are very sharp with barnacle’s growing on them.
@@KristinasTravels interesting! looking forward to watching your next videos in the next few months then :) I'm wondering something... I've always wanted to learn sailing but never did so far. I sailed once from Aruba to Panama as a newbie crew member and absolutely loved it! Would you consider taking a traveler onboard for a few weeks? :D Like a workaway exchange (where the traveler would help for daily tasks on the sailboat and he/she would stay with you for free). He/she will pay his/her food as well of course.
Hey there Pedro! Nice to hear from a fellow Aussie! :) Last we heard it was about $900k (USD) base. But if you'd like more info, definitely get in touch with Rohan Veal from 38 South (tell him we say g'day haha) and he'll be able to help you out with this answer and if you have any other questions etc :)
Wow!!!!! 🙌🙌 I mean… less maintenance too on the 55 😂 Sometimes less is more 🤗 No crew, no worries! Just you, nature and the ocean! What more could you want right?! Good taste Daniel! 👌
If I owned The Koru I would turn it into a restaurant boat like the Grand Banks in New York City. I would use it as a business not for myself. The Jeanneau I take that all over the world, I would actually live on it. The Koru is beautiful, but I really love the Jeanneau more. P.S. I really love the video's, I really like the Beneteau cascade 51 yacht, now I am really loving this Jeanneau, great choices!
Categorising a Jeanneau as a luxury yacht is like calling a Ford a luxury car. These are literally among the cheapest brands available. And you dont have to look too hard on any production boat to see where they saved the money.
It's all about perspective! This has all the bells and whistles of a modern, well thought out yacht, designed by Philippe Briand and Andrew Winch. Philippe Briand is a yacht designer and naval architect, you should go check out his incredible work - it's incredible! And Winch Design has worked with some pretty iconic land, air & sea brands (eg. was selected as one of two design teams for the Boeing 787!). Pretty amazing team behind this yacht if you ask me :) But you're entitled to your opinion of course, just shedding some light on mine :) Thanks so much for watching!
@@KristinasTravels I am of course familiar with Briand and Winch. I even worked with Briand on the build of Bristolian. It's still a production boat. It isn't incredible. I have been in the marine game for a long time. You need to experience some much more considered and higher quality designs with bigger budgets. If it was an Oyster or a Swan you would have a little more credibility. A Jeanneau, Beneteau, Hanse, Bavaria, Dehler are the cheapest bottom end boats. No perspective involved, they are simply the bottom of the market. The next level up - the Swan, Baltic, X yacht, Sweden, Grand Soleil etc is quite a bit better, but it's not until you go through the Oysters and get to the one-off customs that the yachts get truly "luxury". I understand that you need to sell UA-cam views, but the hyperbolae is misplaced. A Jeanneau really is a ford Cortina of a boat, while an x-yacht or a Hylas is a VW and an Oyster is a low end Mercedes. The real Rolls Royce stuff is another story. And these days that might mean a gunboat, or a one-off Morelli & Melvin cat.
Yes a bit of stretch and a wank calling it Luxury. This is coming from someone who owns a Jeanneau and has also worked on Luxury yachts most of my life.
Honestly Kristina. Without being weird, has your voice been analyzed? You obviously chose well to use it for your various occupations. It’s very … I can’t come up with the words. Just keep doing what you’re doing. You do it well. And John. Keep cleaning! 😂

Awwww.... thank you so much. Sailing the East Coast was so much fun :) Can't wait to do it again one day! What an incredible training ground, right?! I loved editing while underway.. @KristinasTravels it's actually hard to pick one thing as it is a complete package. I love the size of the cockpit area . But also the size of the cabins are excellent

@@KristinasTravels OMG the cockpit looks like the inside of an Airbus A380 😎 The electric dock footway is epic and love the #beep #beep #beep. The reverse docking was nailed. I guess that makes John not only Top Gun in the air but also on the water! ⛵️🛩️

Thank you so much Joe! Wow, that's incredible news. If you love mono's and don't want to compromise on space, definitely check out the J55! It's such a great design! It was so funny.. when we walked passed a few mono's... I completely forgot how far back the helms are!!!!! I said to John, 'How are we going to go back?!?' Haha!
What you need to think about with your prospective purchase is what you get for the $$$. Stop thinking length and think $$$$. A cat will give you no heeling, shoal draught, easier docking, more difficult sailing, above deck living. For the same cash a mono will be just as fast, have as much space, but will not have a galley/saloon with a view and will heel over and draw more water. A mono will have bigger fuel & water tanks and be able to carry much more gear safely. A mono may be better in rough weather. Do you want wide cabin and cockpit spaces in a boat which heels over? There is some thinking to be done
She's going to join us for this trip over to Italy and France! Lots of fun coming! :) Yes, John nailed the docking -- bow and stern thruster was a bloody dream!!!!! Haha :)
Hi, I think moored this boat is unbeatable, however, sailing is not all that comfortable with the massive tilt. I think a cat is more overall useable and user friendly. Cheers
If you're a mono person, you're accustomed to it suppose! I didn't really even think about that point - it's what I learnt on and it's what I'm used to :) Thanks Cecil x

It's amazing what luxury you guys did a great job showcasing her, after the boat tour our favourite part was the mad dash into town for the Sangria / Paella dinner feast it looked worth it
the sliding doors to the master cabin: I really don't like the sound they make, sliding and clanging into place - Jeanneau should do something about that. those noises make the doors feel cheap, tacky.

👍👍👍✌️
🙏🏻...
Nice to see Kelly on board still. Nice docking job too.
She's going to join us for this trip over to Italy and France! Lots of fun coming! :) Yes, John nailed the docking -- bow and stern thruster was a bloody dream!!!!! Haha :)
Excuse me guys, but are you not telling us something? 😮
Anyone else notice wedding band/engagement ring combo on Kristina's right hand at 3:52?!?
You'll be the first to know my friend!! Not yet....... haha! 17 years next year though... 😉 Tick tock lol!
Is that your full time home? Or do you own homes/condo/property elsewhere?
This is our part time home! We've borrowed it for a couple of months! :) At the moment, we're travelling every second month :) We explain the situation in our last couple of episodes if you want to go check them out :)
John looks so Australian with his mustache!
Hahaha!! Just needs a mullet now 😂😂😂
To bad you didn't have torpedoes on your boat ...
🤣😂🤣🤣🤣 lol!
Why would you want Bezo's boat when you have that boat? Pretty cool. All the best.
Spoilt sods.
Hey mate, so Bob's ya Runcle, he's my Runcle Az swell. ❤❤❤❤

😂🙈🤣😉
Great video. What a fantastic boat. So many features that are unbelievable. You are so lucky to visit so many fantastic tourist places.
It's amazing what luxury you guys did a great job showcasing her, after the boat tour our favourite part was the mad dash into town for the Sangria / Paella dinner feast it looked worth it
Wow.. I’m your new subscriber… I think your the first youtuber I’ve seen living full time on a yacht over $1.3 million.
the sliding doors to the master cabin: I really don't like the sound they make, sliding and clanging into place - Jeanneau should do something about that. those noises make the doors feel cheap, tacky.
Absolutely love it, wow what a boat. Yip I would be very happy with a boat like that. Loving your stuff, keep up the good work, SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
Too bad it’s not your boat.
Truely! Hopefully one day though ❤️🙌
I wouldn't turn down that boat 😀 awesome episode as always 🙂 what is that island? Tabarca? 🙂 We'll be in Mallorca (Palma) in 5 days too 🙂 enjoy your trip!
Wow what a beautiful boat. You guys make sailing look easy but I know.its a lot of work. Also Bezos yacht is insane! The island looks like wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the tour of the boat. After sailing on a cat and a monohual what do you like more? Peace
Great video. Thanks from Gary, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦
Amazing video, so much eye candy. C@not wait to make sailing my life. I have a few years but I’m going to make it happen.
Kristina, I was just saying to Fran that I believe you and Fran are the most genuine female stars on UA-cam. Cheers fro Oz
Impressive boat tour. With soooo many electrical devices on board, that boat must have a substantial battery bank.
Incredible boat, awesome couple, so excited to tag along for your adventure...
Those lines are called 'groundlines', and smooth moring John. Loved the boat tour on Patreon, she is a stunner.
I only watch this because of the Jenn 55 monohull that sailboat is to die for
Absolutely right very Beautiful ❤️
Always love your vids. Thanks for sharing.
Вау, Кристиночка... прогресс продолжается!) 😊❤
