Adoption would be a great episode. I was born in the 60's, about to turn 60, and was adopted at 1 week old. My records are sealed by the state so finding any information about my biological's is nearly impossible without a ton of money. Thanks for all your hard work, Bailey honey! Biiig Hugg!
My first flight was in 1955. I was eight. Folks dressed nicely to fly. Meals were actually meals and had real utensils. You could actually cut something with the knife and get the bite on the fork! Smoking was okay anywhere on the plane, but you didn't notice. At that time you could smoke anywhere, even hospitals. The stink of tobacco was everywhere. I don't remember a Karen throwing a hissy fit on a flight. Folks were mostly polite and kind. I do appreciate being able to fly in casual clothes in a smoke-free cabin today. I really enjoyed this DH episide. Love you!
Love when folks share what a small slice of the world used to be like. I am a 90s baby, I can’t imagine smoking on a plane nowadays lol. Things have certainly changed. Thanks for sharing!
When smoking was allowed on planes, they circulated the air outside the plane, bringing fresh air in, so the air you were breathing was much cleaner than the recirculated air we breathe on planes today.

I just came here to say that I appreciate Bailey more than she could ever know. Unknowingly, she has gotten me through some of the most difficult times in my short 23 years on this planet. I'm sending you a huge hug, thank you for sharing your story. I truly hope you find help💜
@@brookels66 I am also a 27 year old female with ckd stage 3b which at best case gives me 19.5 years to live (it can vary depending on severity but I was already at stage 5 and was on dialysis and they were able to get me off it but they said I'll need it again in a couple years at the most ) and that doesn't take into account the fibromyalgia and ulcerative colitis which I'm sure skews the odds. I hope things get better for you hugging you back ♥️
Hire an attorney that only gets paid once it’s approved. That’s what my mom did several years back after being denied 3 times and it was approved after a year.

My grandfather was an American pilot with Continental Airlines. Would make a difference in the dawn of WWI but he didn’t want to leave! He did want to serve , but he flew rented for the Army Air Corps of Engineers later becoming the Air Force. He flew supplies and fallen heroes back home. He also flew continental.

My favourite days of the week.. when bailey uploads! I was doing some scrolling and came across a topic that i find very intriguing and interesting.. The Emu War... In 1932, farmers in Western Australia fought a war against emus that were destroying their crops. I would love to hear the history and your takes on it ❤ love you!
As someone who now works in the air industry, and watches so many Mayday/Air Crash Investigation, I love this video so much. Thanks for covering this topic, Bailey ❤
22:47 reminded me of a time when I was working as a flight attendant for a Middle Eastern airline. During the meal service I was serving an Arab family and the only person that spoke English was their 8/9year old boy and when I asked him what they would like to eat, he was looking around nervously and finally said, ‘McDonalds’. 😂 I had to smile at his naivety and kindly explain that wasn’t a feasible option mid-air. I think and episode about Amelia Earhart would be great, as they all are, but please make it more about her fascinating life than her mysterious and tragic death. Love you to pieces ❤
I’m a flight attendant for a major US carrier and the work rules are crazy. They used to be much worse and for some companies the strict rules involving being married, getting pregnant and looking a certain way still apply. These companies are outside of the US. Think Emirates. However it is still true that in the US many flight crews don’t get paid until the aircraft door is shut and the plane pushes from the jetbridge. We don’t get paid during delays, we are stuck too. Some companies are now offering boarding pay but at a reduced rate of your hourly salary. My company doesn’t even offer that. And the job is entirely seniority based so you can begin working for another airline but you will be at the bottom of the totem pole, aka no control over your schedule, no control over the city you are based in, bottom of the list for flying benefits, etc. It’s a brutal industry and fluctuates constantly. Not the luxury it appears to be most of the time.
When you talked about the ad with the woman that had a deep look and it had weird mom vibes... I went down a Sigmund Freud rabbit hole! Where women were being diagnosed with "Hysteria" and were ordered to go to the doctors to get.. well... "satisfied".. I know Freud was a strange man and also giving Psych 101.. but still, maybe you could do a Dark History on Freud and how women and other minorities were poorly treated in the name of "Medical Science". Also I love your show! So much! I love all of your shows so much! Thank you, Joan & Paul 💜🐦⬛🩻
I love your intro! So awesome! Thank you, Bailey. You are definitely one of a kind. I look forward to your uploads om Mondays and Thursdays. You rock!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!! I really love & look forward to your stories! They are a bright point of my day! Say Hi to Joan & Paul for me! Hope you have a wonderful day!
Guuuuuurllllllll!!! Cutest intro effing eveeeeeeeeeeer! In my daydreams I get to style you like a little Barbie... . And that's totally NOT weird... Right? Lol ❤ big hugs from Az!
Not the fragrance episode! I learned so much, and it changed how I view perfumes and candles. I have chronic migraines and knew some scents were a trigger, but that helped me understand why. I now only go for vegan/clean ingredient perfumes, candles, and so on. Thank you for the weekly teaching, honestly. :)
I am obsessed with Dark History, I spew random facts to my friends and family all the time. Thank you for being the background voice while I work haha XOXO
My grandfather had his father’s aerial navigation maps from the 20’s. Roll after roll. I used to study them as a kid. I agree - they’re definitely weird. You just unlocked a memory that I haven’t thought of in 30 years. 🤣
I love this episode! My degree is in aviation and it's so fun to hear more about it. My great grandma died at 102, born in 1917. Wild to think how close she was to the birth of aviation. (My partner also works for Boeing! Hah)
You need to do Bessie Coleman before Aerhart! Black american pilot at the same time as Ameilia, got her pilots licence in France because well.. America
@@melindaroop1346 Because she earned her pilot's license in 1921 in France, two years before Amelia Earhart. In the 1920s, getting a pilot's license as a Black woman in the United States was impossible; so Coleman moved to France to get her flying certification. On June 15, 1921, Coleman achieved her goal-making history as the first African American woman to earn a pilot's license. And because she did it in France, the first international woman pilot!! She was a famous aviator and became well-known for her stunt flying and aerial tricks. This extraordinary woman was a pioneer in aviation, helping to break barriers for African Americans and women alike.
BAILEY!! I love you! Can you please do a Dark History episode of Indian Boarding Schools.. to educate people and bring Awareness to Every Child Matters🧡
Do you and Mile Higher talk? Cause they just covered the D.B Cooper mystery and talked about air travel during the 70’s. If not it’s a crazy coincidence!
Agree with all the peeps- Intro is fabulous! Absolutely think you should do Women Fliers including Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman, Harriet Quimby et al 🤩❤

Those rules sound like discrimination suit waiting to happen
As a flight attendant that PA was goldennnnn!! Love your videos and humour, stay shining!👑
Btw love your crew!
please never stop making these
When you talked about the ad with the woman that had a deep look and it had weird mom vibes...
INTRO WAS SO AMAZING
I love your intro! So awesome! Thank you, Bailey. You are definitely one of a kind. I look forward to your uploads om Mondays and Thursdays. You rock!!!!
how does all of this happen and I still haven’t gotten upgraded to first class
I fear I need a dark history exclusively on the Tudor period
Love the new intro song!! I love learning new things with every episode, Bailey always makes it so fun ♥
Hahah yes the turkey coma Bailey! I live for it! 😅 but also, your hair and makeup is super gorg!!! As always hahah!
I am obsessed with Dark History, I spew random facts to my friends and family all the time. Thank you for being the background voice while I work haha XOXO
Bailey, you are doing real, honest to goodness journalism. Great episode!
My grandfather had his father’s aerial navigation maps from the 20’s. Roll after roll. I used to study them as a kid. I agree - they’re definitely weird. You just unlocked a memory that I haven’t thought of in 30 years. 🤣
Wish I could have watched yesterday! Just got home from a flight on United and would love to watch this while in the air!!! ✈️✈️✈️
I love this episode! My degree is in aviation and it's so fun to hear more about it. My great grandma died at 102, born in 1917. Wild to think how close she was to the birth of aviation. (My partner also works for Boeing! Hah)
Happy Sagittarius season, Bailey!
I enjoyed this episode. Really liked the intro. Tell Joan I loved her new outfit!
You need to do Bessie Coleman before Aerhart!
Black american pilot at the same time as Ameilia, got her pilots licence in France because well.. America
Why? Just because she was black? Did she attempt what Amelia did? If not...then no, she doesn't NEED to do her first. 🙄
Great episode! Keep us the fantastic work. My sister from another Mister! Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
The intro killed it🔥
Whoever edits these videos are awesome! The fake cigarette had me rolling! 😅
Yay! A new episode! Can’t wait to watch!
Agree with all the peeps- Intro is fabulous! Absolutely think you should do Women Fliers including Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman, Harriet Quimby et al 🤩❤
38:46 love it😂😂😂❤
Happy Early Birthday, Bailey 🎉
Yay! So excited to learn today
Bailey is the friend who gives you random information but, her delivery makes you interested.❤❤❤

Just found this channel you’re awesome. I’m hooked
39:39 why does this look like Alyssa Edwards 😂
3:43 ❤❤❤😊Yesss! An episode for my evening wind down ❤😂🎉Thank you Bailey 😊
As someone who works as a screening officer for TSA, you’d be surprised how many people come through after the holidays. It’s a calm before the storm for us
You can drive from St. Pete to Tampa in around 25 minutes nowadays; well depending on traffic. 😅 11 HOURS by train made me laugh out loud. 😂
Yes we want Amelia Earhart! Her cabin is in Wyoming to this day and she was building it before she went missing!
