A bit easier to remove the excess grout before it dries completely, let it sit for somewhere between 15-45 min and get a grout sponge, make sure to clean it after each pass, and keep the seams between the glass small for a better hold, then after grout dries some should be easy enough to wipe the haze from the mirror with some water and a cloth or pad. 👍 very nice work!
Hello and welcome back Glitter Girl!!! You have been missed and from the looks of this upload, you haven't lost one ounce of your skill. It's beautiful. Very nicely done Sis.🤩🎉😍 These are trying and tough times for all of us and I'm glad to know that you did what was needed to take good care of YOURSELF!!!!!🤗 In your absence, I chose to lift you up in prayer and will continue to do so. Thank you for sharing this awesome creation. Stay safe, be well, and many continued Blessings to you and yours. Please remain safe everyone and Blessings to you all.🙏🏽🌹💙
For people who are asking, that's not plywood, looks like some type of particle board. I would get like some 1/8 plywood, because I'm not sure how long that particle board would last. And then, I would trowel some thinset on there, and then set the glass pieces into the thinset. Let that set up for a few hours, and then go over the top with white grout. Clean it off with a damp sponge after like 10 minutes. Don't wait too long, or it will be way harder to clean off. If you want glitter in it, mix the glitter into the grout mix first. Doing it this way should be much less labor intensive, and quicker.
From a tile person...you can buy un-sanded grout so it won’t etch/scratch glass mirror when you clean it off. Best to use on glass tile (like on a backsplash).
You worked so hard on this diy but it’s gorgeous! Love it! I’m glad you’re ok. I love your work and will keep you in my prayers. Take care. Blessings 🙏🏾🤗❤️🌹👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾

I absolutely love this headboard. I want to try and make myself. Could you have put a thick layer of grout down first and then place the mirror ontop and pushed them in? Would that work as well, because it seems like it may cut the clean up time of the mirrors in half.
Paint the head board first This prevents having to scraping off the mirrors .. then place grout underneath each peace of glass before laying it this prevents having to scrap grout off the mirrors... then use Mod podge glue to lay glitter in between each peace of mirror ...
So I just finished one of your other headboards (still trying to figure out the best way to hang it lol) and you hit me with this! Im about to be switching heads like it's nothing now
Keep your head up I know it's hard, but sis you got this and I am so glad that you are doing good and that is truly an amazing headboard..I love it all your work.
I’m doing this right now to my dresser, I didn’t even think to extend this to make a matching headboard. You just gave me an idea!!!! Thank you!!! What was the measurement..of the wood panel boards? I’ll re-watch I’m sure you may have mentioned it. Thanks 🙏🏽
Beautiful lady❣️ Been missing your talents, but I commend you for recognizing and choosing to take care of yourself FIRST💝 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. We are DEFINITELY, currently dealing with a lot in the world right now💔. Be well❣️❣️❣️
I like this! This is STUNNING! Could white grout be used instead of the white paint? What area of the country are you located, if you don't mind me asking?

I sure said I would do glitter because I’m extra like that. Always let the grout set a little time and wipe off then let it fully set. Good job.
From a tile person...you can buy un-sanded grout so it won’t etch/scratch glass mirror when you clean it off. Best to use on glass tile (like on a backsplash).
