“By the way you’re welcome to copy this, I really don’t care as long as you just have fun while doing it”
Ugh such a humble artist. But still you deserve the credit! I’m a massive believer of respecting someone’s idea by crediting them 💕 I’m so glad UA-cam suggested this channel to me!! I just subscribed! I will try to create one and will absolutely credit you! 🙏🏼

Great Job, Jorge, on all three art projects. I love the reuse of thrift-store art, most of which is sorely in need of redemption. The frame work is excellent, especially on the first one, with the gilded fabric and matte black frame. The art on all three is very nice, but the third struck my fancy most. You are a gifted presenter, very natural, relaxed and to the point. Thank you so much . I’m inspired that I might be able to do something similar..

Jorge, you have a great aesthetic and I watch what you do in the background with your own home as much as I do the projects. The rope-around-the-bowl with cement looked ridiculous at first but the finished product looked incredible! Your designs are simple, elegant, and understated while adding earthy textures with wood and stone (..and concrete). I remodel homes and I'm always looking for inexpensive DIY’s (got to keep those costs down!!) as I sell or rent the real estate furnished and “as is” once I finish. Great job, I wish you the best of luck.

I am enjoying your videos, & I love your warm & casual approach. I will be sharing.
I am an artist, stained glass, fused, lamp work, & faux finishes. If I might share with you, I have found when I’m creating a wood illusion, I will use a black wax shoe polish & rub it in, and take wipe it off. I will also flick an small amount white paint onto parts of the frame, as well as flick a very small amount gold if I want a wow factor.
I learned a number of my techniques in a high end design house, and would create custom finishes for the designers. Now I just have fun! See you again soon. B. Miera

I am a master woodworker/ furniture maker and have owned my business for 25+ years, and I have an easy and awesome tip for floating frames that I use for clients that can't afford the actual thing: All you need is weather stripping. It comes in a variety of thicknesses so you can make the gap as wide as you want. You can wrap all four sides of the canvas, making sure you cut the strip lengthwise because you dont want the strip showing from the front of the canvas and make sure to stick it all the way towards the back of the canvas to conceal it. You only need a thin strip lengthwise and then whatever thickness you choose for the gap between the canvas and frame. You can also cut short strips and stick three or four of them on each side like one on each end and one or two in the middle of one side and then repeat on the other three sides of the canvas. Make sure to use the foam weather stripping not the vinyl or rubber for the bottons of doors for a threshold. I can attach some links for anyone interested and then you can look from there for a price point that you like. Make sure to pay attention to the THICKNESS as that will determine the thickness of your gap. You don't want it to be too much of a gap or you'll see the stripping. For a small canvas I would recommend 1/8", 1/4" for medium and 1/2" for a large. Anything larger and you might see the stripping. If you buy black it will camouflage with the shaddow of the gap. If you can't find black, just paint the stripping with any black paint; acrylic, chalk or spray paint will work. Once you have the stripping on your canvas sides, attach the 1X2's, corner trim, or whatever lumber of your choosing the way you normally would, making sure you put the brad nails towards the back and through the stripping into the canvas frame. It looks like an actual floating frame and turns out beautifully every single time. Here's some links to get you started. The first two links are the same brand but different thicknesses found on Amazon. There's also links for The Dollar Tree, Walmart, Lowe's and The Home Depot. You can also try Target, Dollar General, Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware, Sutherlands, and so on. Happy DIYing!! I hope I didn't confuse anyone with my explanation.

Also a tip that might help someone... yes, you definitely can get canvases from craft stores however, if you want an extremely large gallery-wrapped canvas, don't get those from a craft store unless you absolutely have to. You can actually make those yourself! It's really easy to do. Just a little wood, some finishing nails, some canvas fabric and a staple gun! Really, really easy!

I absolutely love your ART! That is totally the style that goes with my home decor… Your minimalist style definitely has an Asian vibe to it, especially project #2 reminds me of a Zen garden. I love the Asian style and incorporate it in every part of my home. I have used joint compound on pots for my outdoor plants but it looks absolutely amazing on a canvas, The vase in front of the wall art piece goes so well with the Asian look… I’m so thrilled I watched your video, I cannot wait to create all three pieces! Thank you so much for the ideas! I am so excited to watch all of your videos, I believe we have very similar taste in art! I have a BFA in fine arts but they never taught us anything cool like this! I am particularly enthralled with your style! 😎

I love your diy. I'm pretty sure this original was a Jack Laycox painting called East River. 🤷‍♀️

Omg I just looked up Laycox and see prints going for hundreds and originals going for thousands!! Hopefully the one that got painted over was only a copy, but it was on canvas so I doubt it.
