I can not tell you how AMAZING it is to find someone that's 100% honest on products and not worried about a commission or using a product and giving it rave reviews because it was sent to you. I've bought so much crap that has made my fungal acne worse because of reviews by people that aren't honest. I am SOOOO glad that I came across your channel and website! Thank you for all the time you put in to these videos and your posts. Know they are very appreciated!
Trisha!! Thank You! I always want to be fully transparent about products and my personal experience! I have also seen videos where people recommend products that they claim are FA safe when they are NOT- and it really upsets me! There's so much misinformation out there- I just want to simplify and then help people to decide which products might work best for them as there truly is not one size fits all! Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate your support!
@@Brookesbeautybazaar I saw it mentioned in comments about la roche posay moisturizer ? But I don’t see your thoughts in it ? I suffer from seb derm and dry patches and flakes is there a moisturizer you can recommend I’m afriad to try the cerave one it has two bad ingredients
I use the Albolene cleanser to take my makeup off every single night and I just LOOOOVE IT! rstyle.me/+6UcGKo9xdtT3nHnjjnPwbw It just takes a little to massage into your skin. When you wear waterproof or long lasting formulas, I find that it will take them off with ease so long as you let it sit for an extra minute or two and really loosen things up! :)
⭐️VIDEO REQUEST⭐️ Moisturizers for Folliculitis AND VERY dry skin, as the Folliculitis moisturizers usually aren’t enough for those with dry skin, especially if we’re also using things like sulfur masks. Thanks! ❤️💛💙 • Cerave Cream doesn’t spread easily enough for my sensitive skin (moisturizes well, but also not cruelty free, boo), and I’m looking for cruelty free. I loved the feel of my Youth To the People (the green one), and lack of scent, but it was way too thin, and expensive!!! Gels aren’t enough, and water based feels good, but doesn’t seem to be enough… help! 😩 •
I'll have to check out your free drugstore acne guides, that's so amazing that you offer that! I used to LOVE that Bioderma Sebium Gel Cleanser, it's a great one for sure and I'd totally repurchase it! I have to say, your editing and overall video content is SO professional, I'm very jealous! I just found your channel and subscribed, hope you'll check out mine as well!
For a while I really thought I had fungal acne, but now I think I might have closed comedones. Do you have any suggestions for products that could work for both? Also I'm wondering weather I should stop using cerave moisturizing cream. Love your videos. They're really helpful!
Hi Daisy! When it comes to closed comedones you're still going to need chemical exfoliants- so BHA or even an AHA would be a good idea. Just don't overdo it. If you feel that the CeraVe moisturizing cream is too heavy (sometimes it is for me too!), get something lighter and see how it goes. You may also want to consider physically exfoliating your face once a week with a washcloth and warm water. Don't scrub/rub harshly. Just rub very gently in small circular motions starting from your jaw, up the cheeks, and to the forehead. but it will help to get rid of any extra dead skin build up and could help you improve results!
Yes! I have. I also really like it. It's got the same bad ingredient as the Sébium kind! However, my twin sister (who also suffers from FA) uses it as her regular cleanser and swears by it. I find it to be just as gentle as my preference- so I'd recommend either one!
Hi Brooke ❤ I have question.. is the ordinary products thet you showed is good for teen skin ? like iam 17 and I don't know if it's to strong for my skin..
At your age, I don't think you'll need to invest in Lactic Acid, the peels, or anything of that nature. However, I would definitely recommend the Hyaluronic Acid+ B5 serum for any age as it just boost moisture in your skin to keep it functioning in a healthy way. rstyle.me/+rhNRLy-iXmZ2svqvLrbTsA I also think you could likely benefit from the Niacinamide and Zinc as it is a great decongestant for skin- and I always find that my pores look cleaner and smaller when I use it on a regular basis! If you tend to be oily in your t-zone as so many teens are, it could be a great buy! rstyle.me/+mz-L759i8zgnAA_m5MQpsg
Hey, can you do a video on layering for FA prone skin? For example if my Sunscreen has just one ester/fatty acid/lipid but my foundation has glycerin.. So the glycerin might be able to bind with the Sunscreen ingredients and cause a breakout! How to go about doing it correctly?
I can make a video about how to layer your skincare for sure. However- please note. If your sunscreen has a problematic ester/fatty acid/lipid the issue is not that the glycerin in your foundation will bind with it and cause you to break out further. Instead, the issue is the sunscreen as the fatty acid/lipid/ester is already going to feed the malassezia yeast and cause you to break out. The better solution here is to invest in a different sunscreen!
@@Brookesbeautybazaar Hey thanks for your detailed reply. The sunscreen I currently use is FA Safe - I cross checked the ingredients on both SkinCarisma Cosmetics Analyser and Folliculitis Scout Ingredients Checker. The issue here is that my Sunscreen contains some esters but surprisingly they are FA safe (eg. Cinoxate) and my CC Cream contains Glycerin.. So I am a little worried about layering both of them. One trick that I've tried is combining the ingredients of both the products and analysing them together for any FA triggers, with my Sunscreen and CC Cream the combined list also comes clean on Folliculitis Scout and SkinCarisma. Still, I'm a bit skeptical. I use IPCA Acne UV Gel SPF 50 PA+++ and Rimmel London BB Cream Original (Very Light). Here is a combined list of their ingredients, do you think it is FA safe and can be used together? Octinoxate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Bemotrizinol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone, Titanium Dioxide, Silica, Dimethicone, Fragrance, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Methyl Ionone, Salicylate De Benzyle, Bht, Bis-Peg/Ppg-14/14 Dimethicone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disodium Edta, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Laureth-7, Lecithine, Limonene, Linalol, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Carbonate De Propylene, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Gomme Xanthane, Chlorphenesine, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum/Fragrance, Dioxyde De Titane (Ci 77891), Oxydes De Fer (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499)
I really love Nars Soft Matte foundation. I bought it per your recommendation. I have dry skin. Could you please recommend a foundation for dry skin that’s as good as Nars or Estée Lauder Double (waterproof, transfer proof and does not oxidize). Thanks.
I've recently been using the Maybelline Super Stay Foundation and I'm absolutley OBSESSED! It doesn't oxidize at all on me and wears forever! I don't even feel like I need concealer when I wear it. It's not a matte finish, so it won't cling to dry patches the way the Nars can. :) In fact, I haven't hardly used any other foundation since trying this one! @@borokgoron8750 I am so glad you're clearing up! btw, I wasn't paying full attention when I read your comment originally but the other foundation I swear by and love most is the Lâncome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation! I wonder what they do with the used and returned products. Anyway...... thanks again. Take care.
I am not sure where you are in the world. I know sourcing things internationally can get very tricky. If you are looking to buy the Paula's Choice Sunscreen I mention- you can check out this link.
