Once you get the hang of them, just to give yourself a little challenge, try creating a 5-way junction. lol I did that after my first or second attempt with timed traffic lights and almost gave myself an embolism. I didn't realize that because it treats some streets as BOTH LEFT/RIGHT TURNS & NO THRU STREETS in that scenario, it would be a lot trickier. Even with the lane connectors working to what WE would consider the thru street.
I guess if you want to also have a pedestrian crossing here, you should either set it up so it only crosses the road on the side it has no tram (and then the tram separately) - this way pedestrians can cross the road when the tram is coming, and the tram when it's not coming, or add a separate phase for pedestrians when both tram and cars are stopping.
Learn to use timed traffic lights folks. It's not nearly as difficult as it seems. Once you get it, you'll be kicking yourself for NOT doing it sooner. I did. lol The truth is there's no "fix-all" solution in this game for traffic. It TRULY needs us to tell it how to work better. It takes road hierarchy, proper junctions with multiple routes for most areas, road arrows/lane connectors, timed traffic lights, one-way streets, and any other tools we have working in combination. *** Pro tip *** for using any of the timed lights, or lane connectors/arrows when you're new to them. ROTATE the camera position to match the direction you're working on directly. IT WILL SAVE CONFUSION AND MISTAKES *_ALOT_*
I know this method is probobly outdated, however, when I try to use it the trams get stuck waiting for the traffic anyways. The light never upgrades unless i manually skip the first step.
These so-called "timed lights" always confused me, since they're not triggered by a timer but instead by the presence of traffic (in this case tram traffic)
Great tutorial. I have never used those advanced settings on phases. I would like to know more, how they affect lights behavior.

yeah, and maybe have a step all green for pedestrians *after* the tram passes, so it's tram > ped > rest
I think I'm going to go through and do this to all my tram lines where I can. I wish they had bar signals for the trams.

fun fact: before the end of this vieo, an entire amazon forest just moved across this road
Please, create more of these short tutorial videos! These are awesomly needed
Really efficient, thanks.
WOW It worked! THANK YOU!!!!
Can youmake a tutorial in how to create custom tram wires?
Thanks!
Somebody, send this to Biffa asap! :)
Great tutorial, thanks!

It's not outdated, but needs to be set up properly. If trams don't trigger a switch then the sensitivity or condition are wrong.
Good for a LRT system

muito obrigado, amigo
Why are you using the old node controller?
The new one won't transfer all save's settings, I can't afford that with my current series.
What pack or dlc is that with trams.
amazing
0:46 name mod plz 👌
