  • Hey Good People,
This video is another day in my life. I'm working on Saturday again, but this time I took the opportunity to try to get organized. Even though I didn't feel like doing it, I was happy to have my wife with me. She makes the time go by faster and she makes it fun for me.
Follow me along, as I show you guys what I got going on and try to get organized a little. I still have so much to do. But I gotta take baby steps.
Leave Your comments below, I love hearing from you guys.
    Your favorite Mechanic,
    Alex

I hope you’ll be doing repair videos. Diagnostic videos are fine, but repair videos are better.

10:06 it's funny. I had an older gentleman that would come by and get our scrap metal. He had an old Ford ranger. Barely could walk, but he would fill that Ranger up. Muffler dragging the ground, lol.

Same! This guy got an old F150 that barely runs. He walks so slow lol me and the guys take the time out to help him load all the super heavy stuff.

@AlexTheCarDoctor same here, I would help him out. In our slow times, if we didn't have a lot. I would say stay in the truck. I'll toss it in for ya. He would still get out lean against the truck and give me old-school wisdom.

You guys are awesome. Find a young man that needs some guidance and hire him to clean up around the shop. He may become one of your best mechanics with a little encouragement.

That's weird those batteries alternator starters compressor etc aren't returned for "core charges "
Manufacturers usually reuse the housings and just rebuild the internals 😮
Hopefully you got a cctv type cameras inside and outside the shop...

Just imagine the room if you got a scrap metal guy and tire recycler to come in and help you clean. It would be like gaining 3 additional bays!

So I'm not surprised to hear that you don't work on older cars or BMWs and perhaps other German manufactured vehicles as well. A lot of other mechanics who I talked to feel the same way about both of those cars. I'm curious though is there perhaps another shop or two in the area that you refer people to have German cars or cars with carbureted engines for repairs and perhaps a body shop as well?

Don’t get me wrong, I love working on Euro cars. It’s the customers that give me problems. But yes I have other shops I partner with in the area.

Clean and organize everyday. Having garbage all over the place and tools ⚒️ unorganized sends the message that the shop does not care. That is the wrong message for your shop and skill set to send. You do good work. Make a stranger in your shop feel that instantly when they see your environment.

I work in a shop where other dudes in the shop have crap everywhere. I don’t see how they function. Me personally I can’t function with a bunch of crap everywhere.

@@AlexTheCarDoctoryou do an amazing job helping your customers. I just want you to do better and get more money making business. You and your family deserve the best things in life. Don’t be like RainmanRay and act a fool throwing brake clean cans..... smart mechanic, but I would NEVER go to him because of his dangerous antics. I think you respect you customers 1000x more. Do you.
