So happy you guys are getting a septic tank. Between the AC mini split, new solar system, and septic system you guys will be off grid with much more comfort and much less compromise!
Two Beautiful sights today, the wonderful waterfalls and your ending fire. Truly an awesome sight. That tractor is a fun tool, and a good chainsaw. Big hugs from Santa Barbara. 🙏🤗😘🫶🌹🍷👏
Greg & the chickens are fearless. I luv a good burn up! Great that you are getting a septic.....yay!!! That barn/ shed was the beginning of every thing. Look how far you have both come.😊
Guess you can say that was one of your Prototypes Builds, which seeing how you dragged right across your land it was pretty well built. Saving the roofing panels was a great idea, you could mill some wood a build a replacement unit. The sequence with the burning wood pile was amazing. xx ❤️💙
Don't feel bad about your structure falling apart. You were moving it a long way and for it to survive as far as it did was testament to how strong it was in the first place. Made a nice fire. 😁
I'm pretty sure I could watch HOURS of Ole Greg haul, drag, and move stuff while Katie pops in with some commentary or the animals or some scenery. Wait, I been doin that for years now... hahahaha. So much love to yall. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Time for a bonfire! haha It's that just the way it goes?! When you turn the camera off, the best stuff happens! My husband and I have been off grid since 2020 and we enjoy watching you two work together. Kinda nice to sit back and watch someone else work for a change! :-) Good job!
Beautiful water fall and land you guys it’s obvious why you chose such epic surroundings for your dream homestead.. improving it more each day 👍 yes I agree Katie the landscape is amazing open it up a little more. My mornings and early evenings would be taking in views.. another awesome episode thanks y’all 👍❤️
You should consider making fork extension for tractor it is very simple using things I'm sure you have laying around your property also make a counter weight barrel for tractor a 55 gallon drum cut down filled with concrete or just sand allows more back up space and is more stabile when carrying a load
Wow! Thanks for sharing your beautiful area and view!! Luv the sketchy stuff and especially the smiles on your faces.. You can tell you both make each other laugh. 🌲❤️😁
You guys are a Hoot!!!. I have just finished watching all of you videos. Clear back to the beginning. Up to date now. 😂. Love your content and your sketchy stuff. Good luck with your future. Nancy, Illinois ❤❤
What a shame. Within the sight of the finish line. It does show how your original work was good and you made it that far. Not seeing why it collapsed I can guess something got hung up and it fell before you saw the problem. Well, now we will watch as you build whatever you were going to use that for. Thank you for your videos as they are very relaxing even when things go south. It is great you are getting a septic system as that eliminates one headache. Take care, enjoy the green for now, jack
Glad your getting a spetic system. And so Glad you will have a Beautiful view also the Mud room is coming alone Good be looking forward to the next video
I've been thinking that for ages! Thin out the trees and open the view. Agree 100%! Bit sad for time invested and sentiment of the old barn but cleared out will potentially look gorgeous! Maybe even start drawing out the property in fancy stone garden walling, the value of the place would sky rocket!
Nothing can stop what is coming. The two of you are so self motivated and self sufficient that you would make great team mates if you decide to give up the resistance. Peace.
The house is looking awesome 👍, But Greg & Katie's adventures don't always go as plan ! Like my homestead it's always subject to change lol ! Slow around here but I did get the siding on my cabin before it got to cold 😀,
Watching you play with that shed got me thinking that maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea if you made some holes in those forks so that you could attach a long bolt or something to help drag or whatever around.
Hello Greg and Katie, That building has served you well for many years, with the addition of the back property, it only makes sense to try to move things around and clear up your views. It was pretty sketchy and made it farther than I thought it would.
Instead of dealing with dust by sanding, use a damp sponge and go over the seams gently. this way you can also feather the seams out. I have used this method for many years, It sure saves on having to eat dust.
Too funny - Greg; you showed up on my suggested friends on FB the other day. Makes sense - we are fairly near to each other with similar interests. Anyhow - awesome video as always! We live in paradise, no question of that. Which falls were those if I may ask?
With Katie big smile while moving the old shed I think she like the sketch shit as much as Greg. To bad you gave it a try. You will have some stuff for another shed now. Another build coming fast. Good job nice fire 🔥
I love how the beginning of this video was so tranquil with the beautiful forest hike. 🥰💚 Then it went right into ✨🎤🎼Time to do some sketchy sh!t with Greg and Katie!🎼🎤✨😃🤣 Then back to tranquil bonfire. 🔥❤ Love you guys, and I’m sorry the shed didn’t make it to its final destination, but it made for a great video! 😊😂❤
If you ever need to pull something that big in the future, here's a simple trick to prevent the shed from slipping on the forks: attach the base of the shed to the guard of the forklift attachment with 2 ropes, straps or chains. One on the left, one on the right. I've often used this method to pull containers and the like with a forklift.
Hello Greg and Katie, I know sanding dry wall is a pain. What accidentally happened to me several years ago, I was sanding some trim around a window I had put in. I was doing this in our living room, so I had my DeWalt 5" orbital sander attached to my shop vac. I was using 220 grit at the time. Around the window was some rough dry wall mud, and so I decided to try the sander very lightly on that. OMG!! CHANGED THE WAY I SAND DRY WALL since that time, some 20 years ago. It goes so FAST!! Most of the dust, goes into the vac, and be cautioned to check your vac as it can clog the filter. I use the washable filters, by CleanStream. The hose on my vac is the smaller diameter 1 1/2" and 12-15' long, so I'm not hindered by a short hose. I know it sounds a bit funky, but please give it a try... maybe off camera, to see what you think. For me it goes extremely well!! Another thing I do in dry wall corners is I carefully, when installing, make sure the mating surfaces are tight. Then what I do, instead of taping, I caulk the corners with an acrylic white caulk, and of course, finger wipe the joint!! What a time saver, and I've never had a problem with that. I hope going forward for you guys, my suggestions are helpful. I'm just blown away by all the work you guys do and get accomplished, but then again, it's kinda like your fulltime job. My best regards to you, Ted Schulz, Jamesport, Long Island, NY PS - Your Email address does not work, as I tried to send this by Email and it was returned!!
Wow on you guys thinking you could move that and still be able to use it !!! There might have been some good lumber if you had just taken it apart !! Since you ended up burning it that night....possibly in the morning you could have continued the burning with the other stuff that is laying around on your property ! Lots of nails and screws to clean up !!😊
Man I thought we were gonna get a cold water plunge at that waterfall lol😊 Things are really shaping up for the winter blanket lol Yall stay at it, it ll all get done👍🏻
It was a good try but sometimes life intervenes with a plan of it's own. It's nice sitting around a bonfire and enjoying the night's calmness. Have a blessed week. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
So beautiful of where you at, keep waiting on snow on your place, you ever go hunting, for moose ,deer ect , Great place for mushrooms, you ever pick them to EAT, the edible ones not the goofy ones.....love fresh ones fried with potatoes. Fried with onions over a burger, or a buttery steak.. God Bless !!!!!!!😊😊😊
Y’all need a tshirt that says “welcome to another episode of sketchy stuff with Greg and Katie!!!”
I’d buy it.
DEFINITELY - tshirts, mugs, or something with “sketchy stuff with Greg & Katie”!
I mean, why Katie ? Sketchy stuff with Greg. It’s enough.
@ Katie may not be doing the “sketchy” stuff, but they discuss what they’re going to do. She also helps when she can. Definitely Greg & Katie!
Mostly Greg😝
I'm always so disappointed when your videos end, I could watch for hours. Thank you
You guys have a lot of fun with your sketchy stuff. That tractor of yours is an absolute gem. It’s been the best tool on your property.
It wouldn't be "This Off Grid Life" if there weren't occasional sketchy stuff going on. Love you guys.
So happy you guys are getting a septic tank. Between the AC mini split, new solar system, and septic system you guys will be off grid with much more comfort and much less compromise!
This was one my favorite walks that you have "taken us on". Thanks for sharing!
I was saying what a view that would be! Wow. Then you mentioned cutting a few trees down to see that gorgeous view!!!!
Okay - that "slo-mo" effect of the fire at around the 33:30 point was awesum!
You live in a glorious place.
Beautiful waterfalls ❤

Greg & the chickens are fearless. I luv a good burn up! Great that you are getting a septic.....yay!!! That barn/ shed was the beginning of every thing. Look how far you have both come.😊
When you took out the old chicken coupe it opened up some nice fews on your property .
Guess you can say that was one of your Prototypes Builds, which seeing how you dragged right across your land it was pretty well built.
Saving the roofing panels was a great idea, you could mill some wood a build a replacement unit. The sequence with the burning wood pile was amazing. xx ❤️💙
Sorry you couldn't save the structure. It brings good memories I'm sure. It made a beautiful bonfire though! Just love your videos. Hugs from Texas.
Your hard work should make this winter markedly easier for you than the previous winter.
You guys have some beautiful landscape and very peaceful
Don't feel bad about your structure falling apart. You were moving it a long way and for it to survive as far as it did was testament to how strong it was in the first place. Made a nice fire. 😁

17:18 "You did a FINE job just now Katie! Good job US!" Love this! ❤

To help with touch ups, add a little chalk line chalk to your mud to color it and help identify touch up areas. Doesn't need to be much.
Putting on mud in your mud room. Another great video ! Beautiful hike !
Beautiful water fall and land you guys it’s obvious why you chose such epic surroundings for your dream homestead.. improving it more each day 👍 yes I agree Katie the landscape is amazing open it up a little more. My mornings and early evenings would be taking in views.. another awesome episode thanks y’all 👍❤️
I love your plans and honesty when things don't go perfectly. A Walk in the Woods. Perfect. And it is also a book you two should read. So funny.
Beautiful waterfalls. I know where I'd be hanging out.
You should consider making fork extension for tractor it is very simple using things I'm sure you have laying around your property also make a counter weight barrel for tractor a 55 gallon drum cut down filled with concrete or just sand allows more back up space and is more stabile when carrying a load
to finish sheetrock use a large damp sponge and rub no dust and a great finish
Wow! Thanks for sharing your beautiful area and view!! Luv the sketchy stuff and especially the smiles on your faces.. You can tell you both make each other laugh. 🌲❤️😁

What you have is a Ikea, preowned, flatpack shed.

Yes, that would be a great view to look at. I grew up in woods in upper Minnesota. Now I live in the woods of Florida.
I've been thinking that for ages! Thin out the trees and open the view. Agree 100%! Bit sad for time invested and sentiment of the old barn but cleared out will potentially look gorgeous! First thing Carolyn said to me was "look how long Katie's hair is!"
