I’m looking for a welder, at work we have the Miller 350, goes up to like 28v and 650ipm wire speed. I don’t need anything like that but the option of being able to run up to 25.5 volts and 525 wire speed (my favorite setting other then spray) is something that I really want.. so here I am watching reviews lol trying to find my answer
Just got one of these YesWelder mig pro 250 welders. The front panel is different than what your is; so must be an updated machine. Is there anyway to tell if the torch has been upgraded??
Any way you could do a cross section etch with some loctite naval jelly? Unless you can get your hands on some nitric acid lol. Would be cool to see how well these cheap welders penetrate. Weldingtipsandtricks did a nice vid on this for reference, if you're interested 😁
Sorry it took me so long to reply back yes I would love to be able to do a etching video of the penetration but I've been welding since 2006 and I can assure you it welds just like Miller and Lincoln welders that I use at work and all depends on the operator lol
@@stegallmetalworx not only that, but with that kind of obvious heat, the undercut on top and somewhat on bottom, and the fact that he was puddling due to not feeding that monster enough wire. If I were a betting man, I’d say he got excellent penetration if for nothing else having to weld so slowly at such high heat and arc force. Just a guess.
@@philbarlow8645 yes you are correct I do wish the machine wire speed could be a little more adjustable but I wasn't planning on doing that thick of stuff with that machine and if I had 045 wire it probably would have done a better job
@@stegallmetalworx Yeah, I know what the roller is used for, but I wasn't sure what you were talking about. I have this welder that I bought about 6 months ago.
I'll update as far as the aluminum yes I have done them but I have not had time to make a video of it and it does work it just doesn't work quite like a spool gun you can tell there's some drag still going on going through the 10-ft lead with the wire so but it does work and it works perfectly fine when everything's going perfect lol but I'd rather weld with a spool gun then to have that wire being pushed through the lead
@@stegallmetalworx as far as the welder as a whole. It's pretty decent for the money and comparable to other models? Did you ever get the liner and right rollers?
That's pretty hot, but I would like to see it maxed out on 3/8" Aluminum fillet and but joints GREAT VIDEO, THANKS
Awesome man. What a kickass little machine.
I believe it's one of the most powerful machines that you will be able to buy for the money
Is this a good machine? Most I'll ever really use it for would be 1/4" steel. Maybe get the TIG gun for it later and learn that. Thanks for the vid.

If you want to send me a few pictures of what you got in your box I can let you know if it's been upgraded from the one I got
Bring the feed down to like 10, volts like 29, and get yourself some 90/10 argon/CO2 for some good spray transfer

What roller are you talking about you are waiting for?
U shaped so it doesn't deform the aluminum wire
I got one last week and mine came with one and the liner

What’s the max voltage setting?
If I remember I want to say 25
30v
What style consumables does the 250 use?
Fairly standard stuff easily attainable on Amazon or ebay
What’s the max wire speed ?
Hi! How did the device perform on a low supply voltage? thanks
The blue machine knows when it's in 110 voltage and won't let you turn it up but so much but does good on anything below 3/16 in Steel
i can hear it wanting to go silent...stop doing the cursive E.....an youll have it....just push or drag it..5/8 stick
out….awesome machine
Sounded like too much wire speed, could just be the vid tho cause the weld didnt look terrible.
It probably is I just turned of machine up all the way just to see what it did
Try 045 wire
