Do you have a link for the Amazon connector lead?
Hi I got the YesWelder MP200 for my husband and the spool gun upgrade because he want to do alluminium but he does not speak english so would it be possible to have a plan of how to connect the wire to help him.
I dimmed my eyes, watching🫥
I have access to a large wood lathe, would it be possible on there also? Or does it have to be a metal lathe for some reason?
Im looking at doing the same mod. If i wanted to do it more budget friendly are there other spool gun options. Yeswelders is $190
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find one that only has a two-wire plug that controls the trigger most of them are 4 wire or more
Put more video please of these mini welding machine (more test) over head, vertical up/down, check welding penetration, test each parameter!!
I've used all types of Millers in Lincoln's buzz boxes before and this little guy here is pretty close to those things for about a 10th of the price
No need for all of these budget welders when you have the best that money can get with the primeweld tig 225x to your left. Add the maxcool 3000 watercooler to it and you can weld for hours on end..
Hello, we want to invite you to help us test our machine, could you please give us a chance ❤ thank you
Yes you can email me at stegallmetalworx@gmail.com
Did you ever get it dialed in? What are your settings?
Damn the most dangerous video to watch welders remember your audience is not wearing a shield!!! Just show end result damn Im seeing spots............
What voltage did you run on your tests? Did you do 110 or 220?
Thank you for your honest feedback. As a professional welder, your input is invaluable to Arccaptain. We will carefully consider your suggestions and continuously improve our machines. Thank you.
Much nicer than the one i got from Harbor Freight, that's for sure!
How has the mod been holding up? I'm looking to do the same thing.
That much is a dc machine only
Want to try Arccaptain Machine?
Yeah I'll give it a try here's my email stegallmetalworx@gmail.com
The 250 pro is now $400 on Amazon with the $100 coupon they offer. Im stuck wondering if it's worth it to add a 220 outlet.
Hello. How about a 2 year update on the Pro 250. Is it still working the same, would you purchase again?
Still works and barely use it I have upgraded to the fortress and added a spool gun feature gives me way more options
@@stegallmetalworx Thankyou
How do I get in direct contact with you to obtain directions and/or a diagram to make this upgrade modification? We are new to welding, so we don’t know the inner workings well enough to know what to tap into. Not sure how to share contact info without it being public to all. Thanks!
could you do a 1 year later review?
Anyway to get a little more information? I assume you're taking the power from the board that powers the wire feed motor and using that as the primary power to the DPDT switch? Then one side of the switch is going back to the wire feed motor and the other side is going to the spool gun?
Yes
So at 18 volts this probably wasn’t spray transfer but still looks good
Any conversion for the TIG
The machine doesn't have AC capability
You could DC tig but you need 100% helium

Hi, I am trying to figure out if the 250 is really more powerful than the 205. YesWelder is known for rating the output much higher then actual output. My 250 pro does not seem any hotter then any other 200 amp Chinese machine and the auto settings are waaay too cold.
Does the factory 2-pin connector still function after this mod, or do you have to use the new connection when using the standard MIG torch?
No it still works just fine
@@stegallmetalworx awesome. I just ordered all my parts. Can’t wait to get this set up myself. Can you share a wiring diagram? I think I can see we’ll enough in the video, but would like to be sure. Thx.
I didn't want to modify my welder but I just might ... I also want to take a wire out to quickly switch polarity for the gun instead of the screws inside. Also any chance you have / can make a diagram?
Update.. after 2 weeks and an email a day the only help I got was a picture of a finger pointing at a connector to check... When I asked them what to check with a meter or am I just verifying it was plugged in they replied "we have reviewed the video you sent us again and it's broken and can't be repaired, sorry.". Basically they just want to string you along until you get tired and give up. So now I have a paperweight.
Well I'll Be 🤩
Thanks for sharing
Great help in my decision thanks for sharing and hope you've replaced that table that was scarry 😬
How can I get details on where you tapped into? Is it just the spool drive motor?
Yes it is just the spool drive motor
Need to have ac/dc tig with pedal and spool gun then it would be the ultimate diy machine.
Would be awesome and I'm sure it'll fly off the shelves
what aluminum wire do you use? 5356 or 4043? I'm asking because the soot is so low for MIG, even with high flow of argon. People say 5356 is generally sooty. And it looks like you pull your welds instead of push. The results are fantastic!
I no longer have that welder but I believe I was using 5356 because it's a little harder to run through the lead and the reason why I was pulling was because I was doing a lot of video building just before that and I was in the habit of pulling and not pushing but yes the results turned out fine I would be happy with them either way
Thanks for this - I tried this mod on mine and works flawlessly- just make sure to pay attention to where you drill the hole - TIP - cut the ON/OFF toggle label with tin snips and use that as a template for marking the 12mm hole - one draw back I noticed is that you cannot directly set the spool speed on the mp200 instead you have to change all the settings and gas to like cr25 to approximate
Yes that's exactly what I did be very careful
@@stegallmetalworx Thanks for helping me setup this little mod, however what do you guys mean but setting things to CR25?
Got a link for the lead connector?
This video is almost two years old, so Yeswelder may have resolved/changed a couple items for the 250 Pro. Specifically, they state on their website that the torch and stick holder are 10’ now.
Can you do a more detailed video. My mp200 should be here end of March and this looks like something I want to do
Just message me whenever your ready and I'll be more happy to help you through it
You really should be wearing a respirator or have an sucker tube. You don't want that smoke in your lungs. I have been considering this welder and you've helped a lot.
Bring the feed down to like 10, volts like 29, and get yourself some 90/10 argon/CO2 for some good spray transfer
why can't you run aluminum from the factory spool?
a good question! is there anything stopping you from just swapping out the spool since the wiring you are doing is just for the spool drive
Aluminum is soft and can jam up in the liner. That's why they put the spool at the gun to keep it a shorter run.
man, that bad boy is packed! what is your interpretation on the stick function, on the 60xx rods, does the ground go to positive?
Do you have part numbers to parts you used?
Thanks for your contribution. Were you still using C25 gas?
No pure argon
NICE!!! 👍
Your welding 1\4 aluminum can it weld 1\8 or 1\6 aluminum like I do with my primeweld Tig 225x which is only $300 more than the yes welder 250 pro????
I have both machines and when I purchased the yes welder pro it was only $360 something it was the model before the current one so it was heavily discounted
I’m looking for a welder, at work we have the Miller 350, goes up to like 28v and 650ipm wire speed. I don’t need anything like that but the option of being able to run up to 25.5 volts and 525 wire speed (my favorite setting other then spray) is something that I really want.. so here I am watching reviews lol trying to find my answer
What’s the max wire speed ?
What roller are you talking about you are waiting for?
U shaped so it doesn't deform the aluminum wire
I got one last week and mine came with one and the liner
@@stegallmetalworx Yeah, I know what the roller is used for, but I wasn't sure what you were talking about. I have this welder that I bought about 6 months ago.
You need a SS brush.
Hello friend, good, I have a question I hope you can get me out of doubt, have you already tried the machine in the Tig process ..? If so, how are you soldering in that process ..? Thanks in advance..
Tig function is just fine it's lift tig and it is DC only but everything works fine
@@stegallmetalworx And can you weld running beads ..? clear respecting its work cycle ..
