- The Fallout TV show is great - but why do we care so much about video game adaptations?
Is it the thrill of revisiting beloved worlds and characters in a new light? Or is it simply getting the chance to smugly tell everyone what they've been missing over the years? Join Nathan as he examines and discusses all the angles while sitting in a field because it gives off a kind of Fallout-y vibe.

First video i watched on this channel, and i am so amazed with the quality of it. Thischannel deserves much more
Ahh thanks, bud! Appreciate you watching and leaving such a positive comment.
Considering that it's based on at least two pre-existing movies, the show didn't feel anything like a repetition of Mad Max II or A Boy And His Dog.
Absolutely. Felt like it's own thing!
Great editing/production here
Thanks very much! Really appreciate that.
These videos are getting better and better. So carefully and intelligently crafted. Keep it up!
To sum up Fallout, it was perfect...perfect down to the last minute detail 😅
Beautiful work friend
Thank you, my friend. Appreciate ya!
"On The Horizon..." I get what you did there! 🏹 🦒 🤖
Hahaha! I actually completely forgot about Horizon but let's say I meant it. 😉
i mean Minecraft the movie wrapped. for sure gonna have Mamoa punch a tree
Oh man, I forgot about Minecraft!
So basically what you’re saying is that we won’t ever see portal as a film?
Edit: I have watched the video and this is funny
Never say never! I just think it'll always be a better game than a film.
I agree that games don't 'need' stories, and there are definitely some great ones out there that don't tell one at all. That being said, videogames definitely have unique ways of telling stories, putting them in a whole new light. The giraffe moment in The Last of Us wasn't nearly as magical in the show, even though they used real giraffes. It wasn't the relief from the constant danger that I'd been facing as Joel, and the relationship with Ellie wasn't as powerful when observed as a viewer rather than experiencing it myself throughout a long and perilous journey. The Last of Us definitely needed to be a game.
Twisted Metal was enjoyable, Anthony Mackie is very likeable.
I've still to watch it, to be honest. Big fan of Mackie though. The man has charisma.
The change to the radio static voice is not it.
Dare I say, Nathan’s video production blows Jules’ out of the water
It's not a contest.
hot take, but the majority of "original" film IPs, are just rehashes, of solid, and pre-established bits of already flushed out books or video games any way. bout time! that we got Fallout, and Last of us, and ACTUALLY, but actually delivered. Cuz rebel moon is SOOO original. fuck me, even me in 77 would have said "this MF is doing DUNE, but with lazer swords"
There's no such thing as an original idea! I say we all give up now.
Why do we care? If we care about the game, then its obvious. I figured it was worth a look but couldn't finish the first episode..
unlucky
I personally found it really fun and respectful to the source material, sorry you didnt :(
@@coopb0751 first episode was a little cringy though right? Well if you like it so much ill give it another try..
@michaelra4220 yea, I thought it had that feel because Lucy was still naive and weird from being sheltered.
@@michaelra4220 I didn’t feel that at all. It’s all spot on Fallout. It’s canon to the games and Todd Howard was directly involved. Lucy is very naive, as is the entire vault but that’s not abnormal. She feels very much like any of the protagonists in the games
Nathan, I thoroughly enjoyed your video!!! Can’t beat the jokes with some seriousness sprinkled in 😂 also, you could literally read aloud an End User License Agreement and I’d hang on every word 🫠❤
