It would be great if we could drag out the audio clips separately but at the same time, like using the command / control button to do this. I've seen this in some other vsts. In a future update perhaps? I can see her it does it with the midi.

How do I send change of patterns in Samplitude Pro X 7? Recording is one way apparently although I don't know how to do it in my DAW. Is there any other way? Thanks.

drag and drop midi doesn't work. End up with a midi file that doesn't look or sound anything like the pattern

I came across this as well. I'm looking forward to hearing from support at some point because as of now I've not found anything in the manual (searching export) to debug this. For instance, I exported the MIDI notes from a particular track in the preset which I've edited. Only one of the MIDI notes generates a sound when playing this back. The rest are ignored by Playbeat - and I don't know what settings to tweak to get these other MIDI notes in the track to generate any sound (I can't tell if the sound being generated from the one working MIDI note actually sounds "partly right" or completely different. It isn't what I expected, and definitely sounds a bit different - why its different is not clear.

I notice that the MIDI export (ALL MIDI) does not have separate notes for the different instruments. Everything merged into C3

Hi, that depends on the DAW/Host Playbeat is loaded in. Please reach out to our support and we’ll help you out 👉 audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Can I use Playbeat to play back its own MIDI data? When I drag the MIDI into Ableton Live what is the best way to have it play the right sounds? I want to create longer loops with more variations and edit the MIDI directly in Live. Thanks for any help!

Hello Wolfgang, unfortunately Playbeat does not work this way, as it is an audio sequencer that relies heavily on its real-time audio effects, it wouldn't make any sense to 'feed' Playbeat back with its own MIDI because then any real time unit (Density, Real-time Pitch shifters on the sequencers, etc..) would not work.
So you can either Drag out the MIDIs in order to 'feed' another Instrument, or Drag out the Audio Stems. Additionally you can record Playbeat's output in real-time directly to another track in Live and capture your performances there. Hope this clears up any confusion :)

@@audiomodern Ok, thanks for shedding light onto this issue. So first generating several variations in Playbeat and then combining the dragged out audio stems would be the easiest way to create longer loops, I guess.

@@wolfgang4468 That would work, yes. If you want to capture any real-time performance though, recording Playbeat in another track would also be a way to do this. In Live you may simply choose as an audio Input source for your new track, the Playbeat output which is on another tack.

Why can't we just drag the midi out as a single track/clip? Each drum in Playbeat is mapped to a different note anyway, so it'd make perfect sense to combine all the midi tracks into 1, and just allow them to play their respective note, but as of current, there is no quick way to do that. I don't want to drag in all the midi and have 8 new midi channels I have to route. Also, each track exports midi to `C` instead of whatever midi note is required to play that drum. Seems like a huge oversight.

This is already possible. Clicking on the 'All Stems' will allow you to export everything as a a single MIDI Clip. Which Playbeat version and DAW version are you using? Also, the MIDI notes can be configured via the MIDI outputs on the settings tab. If you have any trouble we'd be happy to help: audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
