The Tiguan is a really sweet and nice car but I wish they would've have given you another engine option. With a bigger engine I would love the extra power. I love the big screen right in the middle, and that orange color is really aggressive.
My lease is up soon on my Subaru, how is the Tiguan in the snow ? I wish the Tiguan was little taller than other suvs. Tourege would be great if offered in the USA
Anyone with a 2018/2019 Tiguan feel the center console is laking, meaning nothing to lean on? I realize that is a personal preference but seems like having nothing to lean on makes the shoulders heavy and tired over long drives. Thoughts?
Very detailed, love how u name the trim levels and pricing and features for every level👍 have u done a review on the tourareg? I would love to see that, I'm torn between the tiquan and tourareg
Scott Anders I love mine and I love the driving positions. And I like that I don’t see many on the road. That’s a good thing. If I wanted to be in a ubiquitous vehicle I would have bought the CR-V or Rav-4 that I drove several times. Didn’t like them.
@@2004cyrus They should not be on any trim level whatsoever. I own a SEL and my 80 year old mother can climb into this vehicle effortlessly. It sits off the ground barely higher than your average sedan
dealerships right now are offering like 5k off msrp so the SEL Premiums are going for 33k. The question is why drop 33k on this when you could get a Hyundai Santa Fe for a comparable price and more features, better warranty and non-existent reliability concerns.
@@screenshotted I get your point and it is well taken. I owned a Santa Fe once before and they are great SUVs esp. in terms of their value and reliability. Although there were some suspension issues with mine after 80K miles. But, people who drive German cars (like me) tend to trade off value and reliability (although recent reliability on VWs and Audis have been good) for ride/handling and luxury. I know that sounds a little crazy, but after you've driven German cars they kind of get into your DNA and it is hard to go back to Japanese and Korean cars. The build quality and materials are just different. I will say though that the Hyundai Kona Hybrid has interested me lately to reduce my gas consumption.
@@timothymcclain2150 I'm thinking about picking up an '18 tiguan locally with only 1700 miles for just under 30k where I am at. My last three cars were a civic, accent, and a veloster turbo so part of me kinda wants to branch outside that style. It's just the reliability thing. I don't want to end up at the dealer every other month with another check engine light
@@screenshotted I've owned a VW EOS, VW CC, and now an Audi Q5. I stuck religiously to the maintenance schedule and changed my oil every 6,000 (I don't believe in the 10,000 mile change with turbos since the engines are so hot and break down the oil - I've had technicians advise me in that direction). With that, I didn't have any problems or issues with all three cars. I think the reliability is probably average but I would agree that it is more of a gamble with a VW or Audi compared to an Asian car. I think for me though, I just enjoy the drive and the luxury everyday of a German car and I get tired and uncomfortable in Asian cars driving them for too long. Good luck with your purchase - I think you might like the Tiguan. I may be wrong but you should get a 6 year, 72,000 mile transferable warranty with that, right?
@@timothymcclain2150 yeah I think it stays with the vehicle. I don't think I would purchase it if they said it didn't count on used VW's. It's more for my wife anyway, for now I can keep my little Veloster Turbo

Got this same SUV and drove it in 2 feet of snow all winter and was the best!!! Their 4 Motion system is very good!
So much better looking than the last generation.👌🏽
Agreed!
Old gen more peppy and nimble, by far.

I think next year they are supposed to come out with a sport option that has a beefier engine.
Very simple just get stage 1 or 2 apr
most informative of all ive watched on this vw! thank you
I just got my Sel a month ago I love it
Just got you up to 67K subscribers. ;) Great job, man. Keep up the good work!
Thanks appreciate it! 😁
Absolutely love mine!
Great trim breakdown.

Bit of a shame you guys don’t get the Golf GTi motor in the R Line like we do 😁
Did he mention it had 7 Sp DSG?
I have a 2018 Habanero Orange one and I love it

Tom Sant yes. It’s annoyingly small

Tiguans are sweet!
Does the Tiguan display album artwork if a MP3 device (iPhone/pod etc) is plugged in via USB or over Bluetooth?
ARobinSong84 yes it do .
This or the new cx5?
To me the driving position is weird , drove one . You don’t see a whole lot driving around in my town .
I have one and I love never seeing them

rented one. Rough shifting and engine needs to be more powerful. Handling in good
Nice Review Of 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. 😄
Thanks!
The only issue with Tiguan they don't come with front and back cameras like most of cars does
please man get a camera that does colors
What’s the reason they manufacture front wheel drive only SUVs?
chocolatewheelchair VW offers a 4Motion AWD
Joshua Rutter DUH
Should have had the 2.5 from the passat or even better the v6 from the Passat GT. Great review as always 🙌🏾
Thanks, appreciate it!
They left the v6 for the Atlas, which I think is either a different v6 or differently tuned
Brosky, you do realize those are faux exhaust tips? ; D
Needs the GTI engine option!
Pony please I'll like to see you doing a review on Volkswagen Touareg 2019. Thanks.
The Atlas took it's place here in the U.S. so no more Touareg unfortunately
This is the allspace one right?
The Dude nooooo not in the United States
The Dude no
All information given here cherers
What’s the name of the song🙏🏾
Annoying.
Those side steps look ridiculous on this SUV. It's barely higher off the ground than a Passat lol
Sir Galahad !!!!!!!
Sir Galahad what side steps?
Sir Galahad you don’t have to get those steps on other trim levels

Sir Galahad I have just recently purchased a 2019 Tiguan and I don’t have the steps. I agree with you I don’t like them & they aren’t necessary.

Why purchase a VW Tiguan at 38K when you can have a well equipped Audi Q3 at the same price?

Lukewarm review in my humble opinion
The fake exhausts are disgusting 🤢.
