Got a Volks since 2008 it becomes more and more cheap but the price goes up..... the Tiguan 2020 is a joke there a huge amount of problems for a new car...... never buy a volks again and all have the same opinions they start loosing a lot of consumers in North America also a huge mistake to move production in Mexico...... I prefer a BM Mercedes Volvo with no options than Tiguan Highline or Rline

We just bought a SEL Rline yesterday. So far we live it. I wish it had a little more power, but it’s not bad. The price for the options was better then Honda, and Toyota and was about same as Ford Escape. But my wife liked the Tiguan better.
Nice car but I wish the brake pedal was the same height as the accelerator pedal in the rest position. It would be nice just to pivot on your heel between the pedals. You have to re-position your heel when braking, in an emergency this can cause jerky braking. Other than that, its a great car.

Why isn’t there push button start. I had a 2008 Ford kuga with a button. I currently have a 2018 kuga.
Great car. Be sure to get with 9.2" screen and memory electric drivers seat though.
What's the difference between the 8.0" and the 9.2" other than size of course
@@q3b26 You cannot have satellite navigation displayed on both the 8.0'' and on the digital instrument panel at the same time, but you can with 9.2''

You appear to show 2 different versions at the rear of the car. One has 2 round exhausts close together on one side, and the other version seems to show a square exhaust on the drivers side, so presuming this exhaust system is split into one square outlet on each side of the rear. I did a search after I saw this, and sure enough I found images of the Tiguan with split square exhausts. Why so? Is the square exhaust on a new 2019 model coming out, and what other external changes are there?

Is it true that R-line suspension is much stiffer than regular tiguan suspension ? Because i like the looks of R-line but if it is hard ride than its bad and i will go with regular.
Same shit, different body kit + wheels.
If you get DCC then you won't worry about it because then you can dampen the suspension whenever you want
I know that comment is pretty old but I think you can get the R Line or the R Line Exterior so it just changes the styling

VW @ 2:02 you put the AdBlue cap in thee same Holder as you'd do with diesel cap when refilling ~ don't put your AdBlue cap on the roof as illustrated here Lol !

It's not so much that it's an R-Line that's making this car look so good as it is the top trim SEL Premium. That is what is giving you the nicer looking full led headlights and other nicer features. You can get the R-Line package on the lower trim levels and it looks no where near as nice. Ergo, the only way to go when getting a Tiguan is as the one in this video, SEL Premium R-Line. The only thing I wish were different is if VW had a 250hp engine in it.

R-Line is a standalone trim level here one up from SEL, it's just been replaced with R-Line Tech. We aren't able to add the R-Line package to lower specification cars.

Engine oil should be checked at operating temperature. I got mine with a sunroof and it rattles like crazy. Fucking nightmare.

VW cancelled my order for the 180 TSI R-line. No-one knew that it was discontinued when my deposit was taken and three weeks passed. Only one dealer knew it was to be replaced by a 190 TSI after the fact, but no-one knew how much or when orders could be places or delivery may be expected. Apparently the price may be set in February, but everyone is pretty clueless really; VW UK price list *still* says TBA. Thankfully Volvo are far more engaged in matters. VW, you're a shambles and should be ashamed. I'll clarify "No-one": no dealers (I tried literally dozens) and no joy with VW HQ UK either; all utterly useless.

they discontinue the tiguan in the usa this year and introduce the atlas very ugly suv in north america 😢

Basic for 2018 car
VW is a very good car but the DSG gearbox is lousy and makes lots of troubles , all of these options are useless as long as a major item in the car is very weak and unfortunately the company does not give the expected support.

DSG’s are well documented for being problematic and have poor reliability, as for VW customer service.....appalling!!
I have a 2018 Tiguan Allspace, the DSG failed after ~2 months. VW Australia replaced the gearbox with a new one and supplied a rental car for 2 weeks while it was shipped and fitted. Not happy about the failure but very happy with the service.

I happy that you resolved the problem to your satisfaction and that VW Australia provided very good customer service.....unlike that of which my wife has experienced in the U.K.

666DW please don't be happy as I could not solve my problem with the company, I had to sell my Passat and and wife Jetta with big loss and replaced by Opel and Toyota, I will never think about VW as long as the DSG exist in the car

Pretty embarrassing tech for 2018. My family owns a base model 2018 Tiguan.. had it for 1 month and very disappointed with comfort. The seats are literally a bench. Awful job. Stay away!!!

Couldn’t disagree more. Having owned several BMW and Mercedes, this car offers similar styling, comfort and tech at half the price point. Can’t beat it.

Just seen this pop up. I would suggest anyone interested avoids, VW warranties are worthless and their after sales service can only be described as appalling - seems the goal is not about customer satisfaction but only about cost saving. Never again.
