I could TOTALLY see him as a character in a webcomic.
I think it looks just like it should. First day at the bot office, you gotta come fresh! Maybe do a second one after a few years at work with frazzled wires sticking out, and a loose tie...lol
Ha, I love that!!!
I was literally about to type the same thing!!!! A few years on, few dints....rust patches...... bent antennae...etc... maybe only one eye working. A few faded stickers on him....
What OP said PLUS LIKE the tie is all torn and stapled together (obviously by mini staple details). He is all scuffed worn out etc stuff like that ...
A hair spray can turned into a robot is incredibly neat! I really like the business shirt and tie and keeping this model clean was a great idea. Thanks for sharing this and I am looking forward to your next project.
Glad you like it! ❤️
Tons of character in this one. That's the way most downtown businessmen feel, like robots.
100% 😂
I love it. It communicates exactly what you were talking about wanting it to go for. If a robot toy can look earnest, this one does while trying to be ready for its first day of work. Great job.
Awesome, thanks.
I think he looks pretty cool.
Very cool!!!!!!
He's cute! I dunno if it's just the camera, but the silver and white blend a bit. Using LEGO parts can be a mixed bag. The plastic quality and detail is great, but anyone familiar with LEGO cam spot those parts a mile off - breaks the illusion a little. I think modifying them a little can help hide that. All that said, nice build! The posable hands are a nice touch.
Yeah, the silver did blow out a little on the camera and I totally hear ya on the LEGO bits. 😀
Appreciate the feedback. Have a great one!
I dig him! He looks like a "Lenny" to me.. "Lenny's first day" lol
😂 Love it
Yes he looks like a Lenny!
+1 for Lenny, definitely a Lenny
Man, I liked this dude right away. I was gonna comment right away, that with a big head like that, he's clearly a manager.
I was thinking as I watched that he needs his other arm bent up, so he can hold a coffee.
You could do a few of these showing the different stages he goes though on his career. Maybe a dented one when he's closing on retirement.
😂 I love that!
Great work! If this were the 80's and they started replacing people with robots I am 100% sure this is what it would have looked like. He can't move, or talk, or sit at his desk and lament not being able to go fishing, but he's well dressed, friendly looking, and a perfect replacement for the entire accounting department... but does he have to stand in the middle of the room, staring into the middle distance like that? Thanks for another awesome video!
😂😂😂
Ready for business 🤓 I like him!
Thanks 😊
I think it’s wonderful…I love a dusty old bot, but this is the start of its adventure into mundanity (is that a word? It is now!)…perhaps some weathering on the actual ‘bot, but not the outfit might make you accept it more…? I can imagine it after a few decades pretending to enjoy other workmate ‘bot’s dull patter and the stresses of deadlines and how it would look…lots of rust on it’s head from years of frustration for a start….lots of love from England!
I'd happily display biznessbot with my other toys!! I really enjoy your brain; thank you for sharing your talent!
My pleasure! Thanks!
Grey pants and super shiny business shoes.
The shoes might be what's bugging you.
They are too casual for an office.
A mad men version might be more to your liking?
I’m guessing because you do this all the time your frame of reference for measuring your work is different than most. From where I stand it’s incredible to watch you make something from nothing and this little robot is both clever and enjoyable.
I appreciate that. I kinda feel like every time I start I have know clue what I’m doing.😂
Having an art background definitely helps but I struggle through most builds.😅
This one is great
I love this!
He's sooo cute - Love the tie and briefcase! Kinda reminds me of the robot from the old Tom and Jerry Space episode..."TOM and JERRY Advance & Be Mechanized" xoxo
😂😂😂 That’s amazing!!!
Thanks
I love it. I really enjoy your builds that have a more cartoon/humorous aesthetic.
Glad you like them! Thanks.
Wow... this robot is a "Diplomatic"! I like it!
Cheers
Thanks
Remind me of Futurama Robot 🤖 great kitbashing love the simple design sometimes simple is better the briefcase 💼 is a great addition
Glad you like it!
Hi Dave. I love it! He reminds me of a character from The Jetson’s. It’s clean and smart. Maybe you could make his boss with weathering! 😁
I like it!😀
Looks like something out of Pixar or Dreamworks!
rather out of some manga
Looks great 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome build. I just wish the shoes weren't so detailed.
Fair point.
Thanks.
Fun idea, I like it!
Thank you! 😊
Good ideas! Good job!
Thank you! 😊
I love it! He reminds me of Dilbert.
I can totally see that!😅
Dents on a random robot makes sense though, could be where it's fallen or bumped into something. Great creation though
That’s kinda what I figured…😅
Cool and awesome.
Thanks!
Greatl build, thanks for sharing.
I love the design and paint work as well.
The lights really set it off!!!
Awesome work!!!
Thanks a bunch!
Awesome build! Looks like the perfect worker dude. As long as he's not the character from the movie Falling Down
Thanks.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that movie… I tried looking up the robot from Falling Down but didn’t see anything.🫤
@DRToysCreations Falling Down was a movie about an average Joe worker who has a meltdown.
I believe Charlie Dheens dad plays the main character.
If you look at a movie poster or the video cover there is a scary resemblance
@@Onedadbuilds Oh yeah! I can totally see that! LOL
Love it!
Thanks!!
Great job on this one. Came out looking really good. I like it
Thanks
How do you stop your
toys from becoming
sticky after adding paint
because i struggle with that...
I put a clear coat on them. 9 times out of 10 it works. 😃
It turned out okay. Not a bad bot. I’d hang out with him at the water cooler. 😂
😂 I'm sure he's got some tea to tell at the cooler!
He looks cute. I’m also used to seeing you put on pastel like colors on your robots. Maybe the head could’ve been like a French blue color?…. Regardless, it was another great build Dave ❤
Cool idea! I was thinking a little color may help as well. Thanks.
Constructive criticism - I think the arm not holding the briefcase might give an interesting look if it was bent upward at the elbow about sixty degrees across the..chest.. with the hand kind of limp-wristed or pointing at something…Possibly gripping the tie. Kind of adding to the character being either nervous or excited at the new sights on the first day.
Awesome feedback! That would totally give him more character. Thanks.
I think he's pretty cool looking my friend. An office bot.
Just a thought incase you haven't thought about it, I see some of you custom toy builders and kit mashers building on these round bodies and trying to fit the arms, shoulders and legs and hips to the wouldn't it be easier to do so if you had a drum sander for a drill press or even a hand drill, I know they come in different sizes seems like those would shape those parts to fit so much quicker, but maybe I am wrong.
And the other thing is I would love to see you try to make a Uniblab from The Jetsons either the office one or the military version, they are basically the same just different colors, but I think if anyone could do it justice Dr. Toys could do it. 😊
👍👍👍
You are not wrong... I think a lot of us get cranking on a build and dont have those tools at hand so we just go with what we have. LOL
Also sometime the parts are super small and a bit in a drill going a million miles and hour is super intimidating for your finger tips! 😂
But you are totally right, there are many time it could help.
I love the look of the Uniblab! its definitly going in my TO DO Project List Book! Thanks.
@@DRToysCreations That's cool was just a thought on the drum sander idea.
But I am really glad you like the Uniblab idea 💡 too. Rosie would be cool too, but Uniblab is just such a piece of work and I think would just be cool. And I really you would have the perfect touch to build him. 🙂
👍👍👍
I'm here for business robot
Un diseño impresionante. Me encanta la estética de ese robot. Buen trabajo!
Thanks! 🙏
Great job. you should make another one were it shows him ready to retire. Looking abit me beat up.
I love that! LOL
I love it.👍
Awesome! Thanks
@@DRToysCreations
I just did a final on a Porche Group Build that turned it into a sci-fi vehicle lol check it out when you get a chance.
I love him!!!!! Really cool concept ❤😊❤
Thanks!
@@DRToysCreations you are welcome 🤗
hes got descendants vibes
Me encanta
He looks great. Not everything needs to be weathered.
Agreed, and it’s fun to push myself to try new things.😃
He’s cute. My only recommendation is to bend his left arm at the elbow and have him holding a can of ‘Starbucks’ motor oil.
😂 he totally needs that!
He could’ve used a cup of coffee in the other hand 😂
Totally!!!
Another amazing build! What is the formal name of the little saw you use with the mitre box? I can’t seem to find one and a hacksaw is just not appropriate for some of the little things I want to cut when scratchbuilding. 🙃
Excel Blades Metal Mitre Box Set With Handle and Razor Pull Saw Blade - Small 6-Inch Aluminum and Steel Tool for Wood, Plastic, and Soft Metals, 2 Cutting Angles
I like him he gives business vibes. 🕴
Thanks!
giving me robot spongebob vibes
I can totally see that!😅
Okay. 1993. FALLING DOWN with Michael Douglas.
Someone else mentioned that and I had to look it up because I did't remember it.
As soon as I saw the cover i was like "YUP 100%!"
LOL
An unusual piece that it is truly surprising what one can do with some old crap. You look like a TREsemme kinda guy DAVE.
😂😂😂 for my two hairs!
The shoes, how do you diy them?
They were 3D prints from an old project.
Is it possible to get a 1M Robot shirt like you are wearing?
Yeah, we need to get some stuff pulled together for our merch store soon. I'm sure it wouldn't surprise you but I just made them here at my house! LOL
@@DRToysCreations did you use those printer iron on sheets?
@@larryholland4587 I did the iron on vinyl stuff.
