Really man? You told a half truth about the unity pricing here. If you want to export to closed systems, e.g. Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo etc. you have to have a Pro plan which is 1.8k per year per seat.
Windows users are like vampires in the light of apple. Like just try it and you will realize it is 1000x better, and you get WAY more for your money. Like way more.
I appreciate what you were going for here and I do appreciate the rest of the video, this video came out 2 days before Unity laid off hundreds of employees and while that's more to do with ad revenue than licenses it's still not a great look.
@@Zaphispo comparing unity with the shafed 5 compatibility, means you can customize shader as much as you need (with skills) and it's not even complicated (no shader code to learn, and with nowadays phones, you can easily export a project in HDRP (high quality 3D or 2D) and performances are mind-blowing yes godot is good, i saw major games pixel art and some casual RPGs 2d, but unity 2D is well made and worked
@@ferdinandkasangati5089 realistically though, if you're using HDRP you're probably better off using Unreal in the first place. There's just so much stuff you get out of the box with Unreal that Unity just doesn't have.
While I appreciate you trying to help out the community, I really must point out a problem with your logic when it comes to the Unreal Engine, the license says they want 5% of anything OVER 1 million. And that the first million is free and clear, so if steam takes 33% and then whatever taxes come out to, Unreal is NOT taking 5% of the first million so if you make 1 million and 5 dollars, you owe Unreal a quarter, so your figures are very off, you are likely to spend more on Unity's licensing fee's than you ever will on Unreal's licensing fee's and it's per project so if you make 2 million dollars on two projects making 1mil a peice you owe Unreal nothing. Secondly defrauding Unity by breaking a contract (by downloading and using Unity you are bound to TOS) isn't a good look or a good idea. I hope this was a joke and no one took this seriously, and the defense of "Well it's still 5% if you make over a million" are there many indies seriously making over 1mil? Let's be real here.
But For pc games unreal and C++ is first option. And by the way some company use their custom engine that use C++ as a main language. Counter strike C++, fortnite C++, Assassin creed C++, outlast C++, pubg C++ 😅...and this goes on.....Unity is good for mobile game development no doubt but for PC games you have to learn unreal and C++

Thanks for the video!
I'll say this though, if I make $1,000,000 and I have almost $400,000 left over, I 100% won't care that I lost $600,000 of the original. I could make that $400K last a 100 years, haha.
Really man? You told a half truth about the unity pricing here. If you want to export to closed systems, e.g. Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo etc. you have to have a Pro plan which
is 1.8k per year per seat.
What about Affinity Photo ??
Woooooo logic gang
5:27 Unity Forever!
Photoshop cc sub is decent value. 10 month
All of Gods children crack their software
Lol why are running! I like the accent
Reaper is free and great for audio production
Someone who makes games and helps devs and donates to their church while picking on ridiculous taxes? Count me in.
Windows users are like vampires in the light of apple. Like just try it and you will realize it is 1000x better, and you get WAY more for your money. Like way more.
I just find game design to be overwhelming
I appreciate what you were going for here and I do appreciate the rest of the video, this video came out 2 days before Unity laid off hundreds of employees and while that's more to do with ad revenue than licenses it's still not a great look.
Blender is godlike.
Godot is way better than unity for 1 reason
its 100% free and open source you should have added that into the list
yeah Godot support direct export to mobile? IOS? mac? linux? playstation? switch ? Xbox? 3D with high shaders?????? LOL
don't compare godot with unity
@@ferdinandkasangati5089 What is 3D with high shaders ?
@@Zaphispo comparing unity with the shafed 5 compatibility, means you can customize shader as much as you need (with skills) and it's not even complicated (no shader code to learn, and with nowadays phones, you can easily export a project in HDRP (high quality 3D or 2D) and performances are mind-blowing
yes godot is good, i saw major games pixel art and some casual RPGs 2d, but unity 2D is well made and worked
@@ferdinandkasangati5089 realistically though, if you're using HDRP you're probably better off using Unreal in the first place. There's just so much stuff you get out of the box with Unreal that Unity just doesn't have.
Godot though?
Let's be real here.
omg my best friend
i already use krita is it worth switching to gimp
Thank you
But For pc games unreal and C++ is first option.
W you for helping me code
Thomas: I pay 10% for my church.
Me: God bless you.
top free software powered by a 700 dollar course.
you do you. #facepalm
What?
Ahhhh Gdevelop and coppercube and unreal engine and game maker studio and labchirp and bandlab free online music design tool
Anything is free if you know where to look😉
I STRONGLY DISAGREE TAHT UNITY IS BETTER THAN UNREAL ... UNREAL IS CURRENTLY THE MOST POWERFUL 3D ENGINE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW WITH NANITE GEOMETRY AND REAL TIME BOUNCE LIGHTING TO AVOID THE PROCESS OF BAKING YOUR LIGHTS AND NANITE TO AVLOD THE ANNOYING LOD SYSTEM
Krita > GIMP
I ve been working on this game for 2.5 years now. And I just realize that my game will never be as pretty or good as yours. Why even bother Im just a talentless fool who wasted his life for 3 years.
Unity, Logic Pro are NOT free software. The term 'Free Software' implies an open source application that may or may not have a cost. The term you're looking for is Freeware
No I’m talking about software that is free to use
GIMP is an atrocious piece of software and should be avoided at all costs
Why an Indian is ceo why are they everywhere eee like if you agree
bff 4 ever
Rip unity
