In fact, I say that 5 seasons would be good, for example, there is still John Henry's universe that was not saved. It would be great if they did one more season resolving that conflict since it would be the culmination of a complete story. When Kal-El came to earth to Jonathan and Martha Kent, they didn’t know what to do at first. So they protected him. Especially when he developed powers! Now fast forward to this time where everyone knows the type of person and hero Superman is. Society is now more accepting of him! I have loved this show from the beginning . It always made me wonder why Clark would never fly or be in his suit in Smallville . We could have gotten several years of Superman making saves in Smallville . The actor had the no tights no flights promise in his contract .What a stupid restriction .
Agreed. Even at the end we never got a good shot of him in the suit and they copped out during the Crisis episodes as well. It seems like there was a huge aversion to Tom being in the suit. It could have worked out a lot better than the stupid "red-blue blur" stories.
@@progamerjakestudios8553 Tom welling in smallville did not wear the suit “multiple times”. Reading comprehension is a great tool, might want to pick it up 🤦🏻♂️
@@jamesrevere2992 bro u literally never said tom wellings I thought u were referring to him never wearing his suit in his hometown thats why I corrected u
Was the showrunners who made that, not Tom. Love that show, but Miller and Gough did that after Batman & Robin tanked DC. Now we live in an Era where Batman & Robin has been the average quality of these projects for nearly 8 years and we see the Superman show with both tights and flights is some of the best work DC has put on TV for about a decade.
This show tackles some issues we never got to see, it's not perfect but it's a damn good Superman show. I'm 48 and waited my whole life for a decent Superman series, not bad at all. And no, I don't consider Smallville a Superman series. Cuz that show was epic
Plus Welling never wore the suit (even in the finale, it's CGI). Smallville is a young Clark series, not a Superman series. Lois & Clark was good and Cain leaned into the "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I do" philosophy but let's be honest, that was Lois' show. People were tuning in for Hatcher far more than Cain. But this show...man, Hoechlin is the best live action Clark Kent by a mile. What I love about this show is that Clark isn't pretending to be a dork, he is a dork. His Clark feels real but so does his Superman and the writing on the show has generally been good to a point where characters make decisions they should make, rather than making poor decisions for the sake of artificial drama, something we saw far too often in the Arrowverse. Characters have real conversations and are true to who they are in the comics. Even the teen drama stuff isn't as grating as it can be in those kinds of shows. People make real, human decisions. Corenswet has a lot to live up to but I'm hopeful. I get the feeling that Gunn is going to make a hopeful, uplifting Superman movie. I vividly remember how depressed i felt after seeing Man Of Steel. I never want to feel that way about a Superman movie or show again. Superman and Lois gave us the wholesome Superman we need and I hope Corenswet can continue that in his own way.
Amen! Henry Cavill is the shit, and seems like a great dude, but grimdark Superman isn't real Superman. Hope, service, altruism, simple kindness, honestly, patriotism... And invincible, incorruptible optimism is what Superman really is. And God we need it now.
Clark Kent opens up to Jimmy Olsen? Not really. Clark Kent opened up to the world first, starting with the people in the cafe. THEN, he tops it all off with a heart felt apology to Jimmy.
And so Clark had revealed his true identity to the world and Clark is now open up to the world that he is not afraid anymore but lex is still out there and he will find a way to stop for good
Sadly, i had a feeling this would happen as a consequence of disconnecting this show from Earth Prime, which still had Jimmy know Clark's identity and still be best friends, even if apart.
It’ll be sad to not be/see Clark again! The way I se it is like this… Clark built his life around his dual persona, you had people who knew Clark Kent, a nerd farm boy from Smallville, Ks! Then you had this mighty superpower superhero who flys all around the world helping and saving lives! Clark Kent had the best of both worlds..for a time! Then he met Lois and he knew she was the one he wanted to share his life with😢! But before 🍑🍌🍓🍒…he needed to tell her the truth! That was a good thing…it had purpose! He could be the hero the world needed as Superman, and have a steak meal at the diner with Lois as Clark and not have all the stares and unfiltered whispers…😮… As Clark Kent he became…felt Normal! Just like anyone else! Get a job, and not be recognized as Superman, or ridiculed because Clark Kent who is the man of steel is taking away jobs from normal folks! So with the secret out what job is there for a mild mannered Superman to do? Work for the government…and pray they don’t stick him in a room with a red light 6000 feet below the earth! It’s also a little weird to see Superman act goofy and listen or rock out to Reo Speed wagon…it’ll be a little weird to see Superman act like Clark in regular clothes too! I’ll leave off with this…What are the odds of Superman missing Clark…like he lost his best friend😢! They may both be the same person but to Superman, they were pals!
He doesn't stop being Clark. This Clark Kent is real. It's not a facade. He's actually a wholesome dork. This show goes with the "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I do" philosophy. Also, Clark doesn't seem to actually have a job in this show. He quit the Daily Planet and in Smallville has worked as an assistant coach for the football team but for the most part he's basically been focusing on raising his kids and being Superman. Being Superman is his job so nothing really changes there. People know that Superman is Clark Kent and it might be more intrusive if he was living in Metropolis but in Smallville, everyone already knows him. He grew up there. The people are in awe that he's Superman but he's still one of their own.
Show should've been titled When the world knows Clark is Superman because I've never seen ant iterations of the character where the entire town knows he's Clark Kent, love the show don't like the concept about him revealing who he is
I get what they're going for, but I feel like Jimmy puts an unfair amount of weight on the value of Clark playing in the game as it relates to their friendship. Like, I'm _not_ Superman (so far as anyone knows - admittedly we've never been seen in the same room together), but I wouldn't want to play either; and it has nothing to do with how close I am to anyone else on the team. I have zero athletic ability and growing up, my parent expected me to play little league and I hated it. In large part because we always flipping lost, and I do mean _always_ - which got old, fast. So, no, I wouldn't play. I'd come to support the team (probably. At least some of the games, if it really meant that much to them. Watching baseball/softball can get tedious). Not playing doesn't mean I wouldn't want to be their friend.

It could have worked out a lot better than the stupid "red-blue blur" stories.
what r u talking abt hes been in the suit multiple times and saved ppl
@@progamerjakestudios8553 Tom welling in smallville did not wear the suit “multiple times”. Reading comprehension is a great tool, might want to pick it up 🤦🏻♂️
@@jamesrevere2992 bro u literally never said tom wellings I thought u were referring to him never wearing his suit in his hometown thats why I corrected u
Was the showrunners who made that, not Tom. Love that show, but Miller and Gough did that after Batman & Robin tanked DC. Now we live in an Era where Batman & Robin has been the average quality of these projects for nearly 8 years and we see the Superman show with both tights and flights is some of the best work DC has put on TV for about a decade.
how is this show making me cry from just watching clips
Love the reference to the og superman movies
Falling Elevator at the Eiffel Tower, nice one, hahah
Ahh falling elevator at the eiffel tower. That brings back memories.
Nice nod to the Chris Reeve movies.
Clark Kent opens up to Jimmy Olsen? Not really. Clark Kent opened up to the world first, starting with the people in the cafe. THEN, he tops it all off with a heart felt apology to Jimmy.
Damm James Gunn has a very hard act to follow now
Jimmy coming across like a serial killer.
I was half expecting it to be the Jimmy from Supergirl, i know they arent the same universe but still lol
It's amazing what a pair of glasses can do...
That only took him, what, 15 years?
"Pal." Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen.
Falling elevator at the Eiffel Tower. Nice.
Clark to met up Jimmy and have a catch up
And so Clark had revealed his true identity to the world and Clark is now open up to the world that he is not afraid anymore but lex is still out there and he will find a way to stop for good
Sadly, i had a feeling this would happen as a consequence of disconnecting this show from Earth Prime, which still had Jimmy know Clark's identity and still be best friends, even if apart.
😂😂😂 it took them 4 season to notice it was him
So we just gonna ignore how much Jimmy and Jordan look alike??
Is he the tallest jimmy olsen we had?
It’ll be sad to not be/see Clark again! The way I se it is like this…
Clark built his life around his dual persona, you had people who knew Clark Kent, a nerd farm boy from Smallville, Ks!
1:20 "Clark Kent are you Superman?" Nothing to see here. Just two guys on date, no more secrets? Thanks CW.
I like the part where he doesn't tell him his secret.
I thought this show was a spinoff after Crisis on Inifinite Earths? Where James Olsen looks VERY differant.
They changed it to be another universe because the Arrowverse kinda like...Imploded.
It's in a separate universe. It's not technically the same Superman and Lois who were in the Arrowverse as Supergirl's family.
jimmy calling clark CK ,remind me of smallvile jimmy calling clark CK😅
Thats the tallest Jimmy Olsen in the multiverse
Something must be going on in the DC fandom right now. I'd never know what it is though
Show should've been titled When the world knows Clark is Superman because I've never seen ant iterations of the character where the entire town knows he's Clark Kent, love the show don't like the concept about him revealing who he is
Took about 14 years of build-up, including his death.
I hope Diggle whos up for a last time😂
Jimmy being taller than Clark feels weird.
At what point in this video does he tell his secret?
The clip in the dinner is after Clark revealed his identity to the world and by extension, jimmy.
Jimmy is tall!
Bruh what happened to the Jimmy in Supergirl. Thought it was supposed to be the same one…..
@@aknightwing9077 No because Superman & Lois is set on a diffrent world / universe Jimmy is played by a different actor on this show like they’ve done with Lex Luthor.
I was expecting jimmy form supergirl show
@@Scarlettraventaqua1 Like with Lex Luthor Jimmy is also played by a different character in this show because it takes place on a different world.
This is ridiculous. So many millions of people in the world, and you figure that your friend is Superman because he's missing at the time that Superman is doing super things.
More effort could have been put into this.
He's an investigative reporter.
Well they kinda look alike, too
Why exactly are they ending this show after 4 seasons?
@@ThatRandomChannelTRC They've decided to cease production on "Superman & Lois" stems from Warner Bros. ' apprehension regarding the simultaneous presence of multiple Superman properties in the entertainment landscape. So basically because of James Gunn upcoming new Superman movie next year.
So he does this in an office full of people
But why did Jimmy give psychopath? It surprised me when he turned out to be genuine. I thought he was getting a villain arc somewhere
He thought his new “friend” was basically God on earth, becoming obsessed would be the normal reaction 😂
They changed out Jimmy.
@@lazaruscharity1121 Yeah because Superman & Lois is set on a different world then Supergirl that's why there's another actor playing Jimmy like they've done with Lex Luthor.
The first picture and last picture are kinda like Christopher reeve first two superman movies the only good Christopher reeve superman movies
Noi one wants to bring up the fact that he told Lois No about softball like 10 times but she still pushed him to do it
He didnt reveal his secret
so this show has nothing to do with the arrow verse?
@@uknownicky357 No Superman & Lois is not on the same Earth as the Arrowverse.
Where's James Olsen from Supergirl
this Is not the Arrowverse
Wasnt jimmy the black guy from super girl ??
@@anthonydove5016 Because this show takes place on a different world this Jimmy is played by a different actor just like they did with Lex Luthor.
And Snyder killed him in Dawn of Justice.
Although Snyder made so many mistakes, I want to see the final of DCEU
Think it was supposed to be a Smallville Jimmy situation where the Jimmy who makes sense being there would've been his brother.
What happened to the big black guy?
nothing, this series Is not in the same earth as the Arrowverse
@ good. That Jimmy fucking sucked. He was so unlikeable. He acted like he was Superman's alfred or some shit
@@hbk92701u racist?
@luk3zzx154it was. They changed it
@@DannyCosmos It was supposed.to be but not anymore
I feel like l'm missing something. He went from telling Jimmy he's not superman, to missing another match, to ditching the glasses and catching up with Jimmy again. Where's the part where his secret is revealed/told to Jimmy?
@@SheyD78 ua-cam.com/video/SeZ64YOaNSo/v-deo.htmlsi=m0kICxUSTj211bUP In this video Clark reveals his secret to the world so I assume to Jimmy as well. So after that I guess he just wants to catch up with Jimmy after everyone knows his secret.
Why do all superheros now a day have to give away their secret identity? There is no point in it
I think it really works with Superman, though I agree it's not a good trend overall. Doesn't work with Spiderman, Batman, or... Well anyone else.
But the heart of Superman has always been his simple human virtues; unlike Batman's complex relationship with his Bruce Wayne identity, Clark is _who he is_ while Superman is the mask.
Bro why they recast him 😭
Different universe
I thought CW jimmy was black ?
Different universe
Jimmy Olsen is a white man.
Perfect
Wasn't Jimmy black?
@@Wyr_111 In Supergirl Jimmy was played by a black actor but because Superman & Lois is set in another universe he’s played by another actor. like the diffrrnt versions of Lex Luthor in Supergirl snd Superman & Lois.
@superrenai9338 oh so this show isn't connected to any of the other CW shows despite Superman and Lois being played by the same people. Got it 👍
Sorry got confused
@ That’s true Superman & Lois is not on the same Earth as the Arrowverse. It’s okay multiverse stories can be a messy thing sometimes but I'm glad you've get it now.
I thought Jimmy was a sexy black dude in this universe.
No, this Superman is in a different universe from the arrowverse
@ but the same universe as supergirl that has black James Olsen who is also somehow a superhero.
@DrDurango I never really liked that storyline, to be honest 🤦🏿♂️
The CW loves them some super skinny white girls in the Arrowverse. Green Arrows sister and daughter were skeletons with 5lbs of skin stretched over them. Sara had weight but sure was still skinny. Lois, yikes. What’s wrong with thicc white girls man? Cmon CW, find a normal sized chick one time.
This series was actually really good, exept when they went full pussy mode and talked about there feelings all the time😂, nothing wrong with taking care of your mental health but they overdid it way to much. The fights and animations were really good tho.
Am I the only one who finds it a little odd that Jimmy’s taller than Superman? lol
Well this is just dumbest thing the show has ever done. Don't they know this stuff doesn't work.
It's fiction just suspend disbelief
@kwayneboy1524 Then why do you care what I think. Besides they've done this before in other media and it doesn't work.
@@randynguyen9778
I just threw in my two cents mate don't get your undies in a knot.
You do realize that stating they have done this before multiple times that implies that it is working well enough right?
Wait….when did he reveal his secret? 😂 wasted 5 minutes of my life for this
JIMMY IS SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK!!!!! Where's the Black Jimmy Olsen...?
Uh... No
Jimmy being black only started in 2015 with the supergirl tv show. Hes been a white kid since his creation. So he'll flip flop occasionally.
Not sure if you’re being sarcastic or you’ve never read a Superman comic book in your life.
OP, you're looking for the other wholesome Superman show, My Adventures With Superman.
@@leemax9581 not being sarcastic. This is an Arrowverse show from the CW. Yes, in the comic Jimmy was/is a skinny White guy. But this is a kind-of-sort-of-almost-but-not-quite carry over from SuperGirl. It’s one thing to change up Lex, And Jon Cryer wouldn’t have been a good fit for THIS Lex Luthor. Jimmy however had been around almost since the beginning. And they still could have had the original actor do the same part. He would have been different. But he would he would have been equally as good. In fact, I think he would have played his reveal with a little more of a lite confrontational attitude.
What a waste of an episode Lex Luthor wasn't even in it
Honesty is the best policy. Even in friendships. So great to see this. That ending got me teary-eyed. Thanks for showing this. 🥲
