Peter Jackson once said, that if it wasn't for this movie he wouldn't have made LotR. He hade to buy computers for the CGI in this one and he used those for LotR.
Peter jackson was the guy Bannister bumps into when he leaves the newspaper office. The Judge is Sean Astin’s stepfather - which is how Sean Astin got the role of Samwise Gamgee. The gunnery sergeant is the same guy who plays the gunnery sergeant in Full Metal Jacket. The first major school shooting in the usa was columbine in 1999. The shooters in that case were influenced by the 1995 de caprio movie, The Basketball Diaries, although they didnt commit their crimes because of that movie. We know that because they wrote that in their diaries and when they carried out their crimes they dressed the same way as a scene in the movie. The Basketball Diaries is a grim movie. The Matrix adopted the same look (black boots, pants, trenchcoat), which was unfortunate.
The Wachowskis had no reference to "The Basketball Diaries" when it came to the look of The Matrix trenchcoat and the Bullet Time scenes. Rather the point of reference are John Woo movies ("A Better Tomorrow" comes to mind that influenced a generation of Hong Kong men regardless of Triad association).
I’ve always been a fan of this one! When I heard the director from this was doing the Lord of the Rings movies, I was intrigued. He did a pretty good job of those movies too.
The song you liked is Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. They have a bunch of other great songs, but I would highly recommend Godzilla and Veteran of the Psychic Wars. Also seek out the music of Oingo Boingo which is Danny Elfman's band.
I kept seeing this VHS cover at my local video store growing up and couldn't tell what it was The skull coming out of a sheet looked really terrifying 28 years later now I have a better idea of what I'm in for Robert Zemeckis and Peter Jackson team up to deliver a horror-comedy starring Michael J. Fox, Dee Wallace Stone, Trini Alvarado, Jeffery Combs, and the late R. Lee Ermey.
I loved this one, I finally found Peter Jackson did a cameo in this one. Other horror comedies you check out if you have not seen them are Young Frankenstein, Once Bitten, Warm Bodies
I remember this movie as a kid. It was cute. I loved Michael J. Fox. The way people keep recommending it for reactors bro you would think it's one of the best films ever made. Lol
I forgot about this movie. The first movie I've watched with Michael J Fox was the Back to the movies. When I got a firestick, I watched the first 3 seasons of Family Ties.

What I think you missed it that she is also able to see the spirits. That was the thing she was gonna tell him.
Jeffrey Coombs absolutely kills it in this movie.
RE-ANIMATOR!!
The song at the end is Don't Fear The Reaper but it's a cover by the Mutton Birds. It's not the original by Blue Oyster Cult.
Da real MVP
I’ve always loved this movie. Very underrated
@TheLouis1973 same here, plus the ghosts and the Grim Reaper were awesome looking

School shootings were going on long before Columbine. The Ohio State College sniper is possibly the first "major" school shooting.

Michael J Fox And the paranormal!? Sign me up! Classic Peter Jackson film, can’t wait !!😛 😊
One of my favourites. Glad you watched and enjoyed it.
The song is "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult is the song at the end.
At the end, it’s a cover by Mutton Birds
The song at the end was"(Don't Fear) the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. Look up More Cowbell - SNL
I went to a school where the videography teacher was Joe Bouchard
This movie has become a cult classic.
This is the movie with the 1 guy who I wished had gotten cast as The Joker because he was born for it
Peter Jackson says he wants sequel of this film
A 90s classic. Other great PJ films are Heavenly Creatures and The Lovely Bones.
Idle hands is a good film to check out!
Another must-see New Zealand film is "The Quiet Earth"
The song is Fear the reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
11:01 The town they filmed in, was actually in New Zealand.
Trini Alvarado could have been twins in the 90s Andie MacDowell.
This isn't a great movie, but it's good, and often overlooked.
One of my all time faves
One of my Halloween time movies. It strikes the perfect balance of spooky, scary, and fun
The song you liked is Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. They have a bunch of other great songs, but I would highly recommend Godzilla and Veteran of the Psychic Wars.
Also seek out the music of Oingo Boingo which is Danny Elfman's band.
10:58 is the Peter Jackson cameo.
Braindead is Jackson's best film.

Who told you "Heavenly Creatures " is horror?
ADVENTURES OF TINTIN (2011) is also great. Steven Spielberg as director, Peter Jackson as the producer, and Edgar Wright as co-screenwriter.
Please check out The Hard Way. Underrated buddy cop movie. Starring Michael j Fox and James woods.
I loved this one, I finally found Peter Jackson did a cameo in this one. Other horror comedies you check out if you have not seen them are Young Frankenstein, Once Bitten, Warm Bodies
I know who Peter Jackson is, but I've never watched any of the Lord of the Rings movies.
Mary, where are you originally from?
Our dear Mary is an Aussie.
I remember this movie as a kid. It was cute. I loved Michael J. Fox. The way people keep recommending it for reactors bro you would think it's one of the best films ever made. Lol
I'd say it is the best comedy-horror. It is both truly funny and truly scary.
That song at the end is Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
“No Rest for the Wicked”
I forgot about this movie. The first movie I've watched with Michael J Fox was the Back to the movies. When I got a firestick, I watched the first 3 seasons of Family Ties.
Check out Doc Hollywood and The Secret Of My Success.

I don’t think she’s prepared for Peter Jackson’s early work 😂
