    The UK drone laws are overbearing and a complete overreach, it wont be long until RC cars will need MOT, tax and insurance.

      @@Geeksvana , I been working with two older horses I take care of where I work. I been using my mini 2 to find them in the evening , soon they will just run to the barn when they hear and see the drone, one of them has already figured out that it’s either a hand ful of treats or a bucket of feed. Anyway, I’m thinking this Avata will be perfect for this task, I was getting ready to buy a mini 3, I’m thinking that will have to be later now. Can you clarify why the Avata is classed in the A3 Category at 410g whereas the Mavic 3 gets a C1 classification at 895g? Is this because of no VLOS and so it's higher risk to fly.

    Hmm general question… to fly in the a1 category with a2coc you’re saying you can be up to 500g. Does this not include speed restrictions though?
    Standard FPV (non DJI) we’re all trying to be sub250 regardless for close flying, but speeds are high so verging on the edge of “grey” no?
    What are you thoughts?

    • @Geeksvana
      @Geeksvana  2 роки тому

      Hey Tom! With the Avata topping out at 60mph, it isn't too much of an issue for this drone. However, there is the need to still maintain 'controlled vlos' (my own words), so speed would be a factor but not a formal issue.
      In the US there is a more formal speed limit of 100mph but I have not seen this enforced, instead it is likely to be used if something bad happened etc.

    • @tomrichardson1279
      @tomrichardson1279 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for this. Plenty of smaller fpv drones (emax babyhawk, cinelog30, protek25, etc) with a naked gopro on that are borderline 250g.
      Obviously being flown in a safe and reasonable manner right, but here they maybe don’t need to be sub250 so maybe a bigger 850mah battery to put you over the 250g category but under 500g isn’t going to be frowned upon right?
      The rules are still so open to interpretation.

    Back when drones were hobby quads Wii controllers sucked. The Wii controller mems gyros made all the drones possible. Sub 250 will be deemed banned soon to remove them from the air. A few well set up news stories is all it would take. Getting hit by a 400g racing fpv drone is bad news not for majority of DJI owners just being hip, hover & assess not good you should cut power and drop or your just selfish or flying over cars and people in wrong already. People on average have a maturity level of 19 these days.

    Sounds great to a point, but Im still confused. So with my A2 I can fly in the A1 category. (Thats good) with my FPVUK Membership, I can fly under artical 16. In parks, on beaches ect. (Thats good)
    My issue is, on a nice day there will be people on the beach and in the parks ect, so 'no intentional flying over people,'
    So really, I still can't fly there ether? It seems a bit like giving me candy and then saying your not allowed to eat it.

      Hey Phillip! Unintentional is the key word for me. As you have zero separation with the A2 CofC, it does give some flexibility. Article 16 with 30m bubble isn't as much use as that isn't the point of a cinewhoop to fly at 31m...

      @@Geeksvana this Avanta. Is so nearly, what I have been crying out for, for me it's nearly the idea of flying a mini2 with goggles. If only I could sometimes use my phone instead of the goggles to fly it, that would be perfect, otherwise, 95% of the time, my flights are alone, therefore i would be flying on the Dark Side. 👍keep up these great videos buddy, it's great to know where to come for quick advice and reliable knowledge ❤️

      @@Geeksvana P.S. if the beach and parks were empty? Then we'd be flying there anyways, so wouldn't matter about any separating distances. 👍🥰

      Thank you sir. I will be testing to see how the Avata performs through the phone app only. I fear it may miss telemetry but if there was a LOS way to fly, it would be popular.

      @@Geeksvana is there even a phone app that supports it? Looked on DJI site but says Avata only compatible with Motion controller and the FPV Controller v2 which doesn't appear to have a device/screen connector.
