  • The world is changing before our eyes. See Earth in transition, as viewed from space, with images courtesy of the Landsat mission and NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio. Feel free to cry over what's lost as well as what's gained. These images provide a powerful snapshot of a planet that's rapidly being shaped by both natural and human events. Haunting music by DigitalR3public.

I take a profound feeling of humility away when I watch these videos, I realise how small but intricate we are in reality

You need to put this on the TV! To change how humans think about the nature! Earth needs us to help her, fast!

It's impressive to watch how good we got at creating straight lines over large distances.

I'm glad u all are throwing in your two senses. You obviously care about something that's why you're here watching videos. If this video does nothing more than heightens up your sense of awareness in the world, then I think it serves it's purpose. Someone looks at a cup of water & say the glass is half full, while another half empty. It's like heads u win, & tails u gonna lose. You are entitle to your own feelings, just be sure to consider others as well. In the end all that matters is kindness!

There's a name for this period in history. I can't remember what it is. But its because the world is changing faster than it ever has, because of Human activity. In 1950 there were twice as many fish in the sea, nearly twice as many trees on the land, and a lot lesd co2 in the air. And also less than half the number of people.

Such a magnificent example of the Universe's potential to create some truly astounding features. Earth really is beautiful, and it saddens me to think of all the people who simply do not care. I pity their ignorance, they really are missing out. I hope the human race recognises what it's doing to this planet soon enough to save it from demise. Thanks again SpaceRip, not a single one of your videos fails to amaze us.

Its quite clear that the reason for deforestation and many other problems is ultimately due to the fact that the overall population of us human beings is ever increasing at an alarming rate. David Attenborough has tried to educate us all with his BBC Horizon - How Many People Can Live on Planet Earth (available on you tube, Search for it and watch it).
Sadly most people are in denial about it or just don't give a crap.

Imagine the increasing urbanization until the surface piles up upon itself. One big sprawling city.

He's a human as well, but that doesn't mean he can't hate them.
I'm a human myself, you see. And I hate us for what we're doing to this wounderful planet.

If I were a doctor looking at a biopsy, I would sadly inform the patient they had cancer.
