Great video, I have had a PlayStation 5 for eight months. I’ve installed a 1tb ssd, then recently, replaced that with a 2tb. Both times, I used a vacuum hose to suck out r the fan and vents, before putting the plates on. It’s kep on a shelf, with open back and front, with plenty of space on the sides. No pets or kids, most of the time. Our grandchild visits, but is mostly on floor
Warning anyone trying to disconnect the fan to clean....first time I manage to unplug the fan was a real hassle...second time I nearly snipped through one of the wires using the same mini plyers....be real real careful
The fact Console manufacturers couldn’t be bothered to include a basic dust filter on the New PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series of Consoles is ridiculous and I can’t understand why they’ve never designed their consoles with removable dust filters as it’s such a simply thing which can extend the longevity and performance of a Console without needing to disassemble it every few months to properly clean it out
That would be interesting, kind of like a design that’s similar to a window air conditioning unit where you don’t have to take that apart to replace or clean the filter. Some units like my TCL in my bedroom have the design where the filter just slides out while my living room unit (Denali Aire brand) has it to where you take off the front panel and then you can take out the filter and put the new or cleaned one in and pop back in the panel. So to add further to your point, either design would be great but of course it’s more convenient just to slide a filter out and slide it back in
Put panty hose over the console stretched tight, and it will filter dust and allow air flow. Cheap ghetto air filter, but it works. Tie it down, cut holes for HDMI, controller ports.
I film in 4k and edit in 4k. BUT, when I zoom in on the 4K source the actual resolution ends up being an upscaled 1080p or even worse. Watching on a big screen you will certainly notice it. Unfortunately the cost to film in 8K to allow for zoom in shots is a luxury only @LTT can afford. Certainly too much for this youtuber at this stage. #future goals
the danger with using compressed air is the fan can put voltage back into the mobo if its connected while you blow it out. In my case it was unplugged, so no issue
@@GearsAndTech Yeah, one of these UA-camrs, wolo, or something like that had changed his original speech about people standing the PS 5 vertical, "because Sony has been building a flaw in the PS 5" or something similar, to, and started getting Twitter messages where someone from Sony talked about sueing him, but it never happened. Or at least that's what I heard, Lol. You never know on the media.
Standing a PS5 is of no consequence. That myth has been debunked. Letting your console get filthy will speed up naturally occurring liquid metal oxidation though. Should change that title. Not cool to spread misinformation directly or indirectly.
I agree with everything you said, except not sure what missinformation your talking about. In the first 30 seconds of the video I confirmed that standing your PS5 up isnt an issue.

Sounds like you should be able to enjoy your ps5 for a lot of years to come if you keep up the maintenance like that
The one guy out there that opens up his ps5 only to find a ps4 lol

that would help a lot

It will work, but look really funny
Sorry so many messages but if you don't feel comfortable doing DIY type things do not do itasguarantee you will tear the fan wire
Can you use the canned of air and blow the dust off from the fan without removing the fan’s protective shield
Yes
Woooow, This was a GoodAssVideo!!! I enjoyed the Info!!! Nice!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! 👍 glad you enjoyed it
I think you may need to upgrade your camera gear, or at least put some more lighting. At times your footage is a bit grainy. Otherwise great content!
It's 4K...
@@FEWGEE1 I'm watching on a large screen tv in 4k and I'm noticing grain. And not only on this video so I'd thought I'd mention it. Check 7:41

I got a dust cover for it its amazing
That can help a lot
How do you hook up a PlayStation 4 pro up to a 1994 tv I had a new tube put it so it’s like new
would need an hdmi to composite adapter.
Nice contact ,love it👍👍❤️
Thank you 🤗
I thought someone said not to use compressed air on the PS 5?
the danger with using compressed air is the fan can put voltage back into the mobo if its connected while you blow it out.

@@GearsAndTech And that's it? You just have to unplug it? Thanks, I hope your advice is good and true.
The standing up issue has been disproven no?
Yeah, actually the guy on UA-cam almost got sued for misinformation about how Sony works.
Interesting, I didnt hear that part of the story!
When i play the fan gets real loud is that normal?
Normally you shouldn't hear the fan. Even when going full speed it's pretty silent
If it's not then probbaly cleaning is worth it
@GearsandTech I clean it every month but these dust stuck on it.
Will compressed air work or should I buy a new fan
If you disassemble anything does it void the warranty?
Nope
not to the point we pulled it apart.
@@GearsAndTech disconnecting the fan was my only concern. I did the same steps as in the video. I just wasn’t sure so I avoided taking it apart :)
No
BTW when he says use a vacuum he means an electronics vacume not your house vacuum cleaner nozzle
Lol I have had my PS5 standing up since day 1 and it’s perfectly fine
Unlucky to not have hit the 20 minute mark considering the amount of waffle.
There's no time requirement, just making sure all the info is in there
